In the same vein, Megyn Kelly would be making $73,913 per work day shocked shocked

Money truly does all things.
Creation of state police is a constitutional matter. The NASS cannot unilaterally craft a bill to that effect without the concurrence of at least 24 state Houses of Assembly.

And while we are at it, all the single ladies who can’t get a job because of his ingenious plan to outlaw female employment will just have to eat grass and wait until a man has mercy on them and decides to add them to his harem of wives. grin

I fail to see the correlation between a woman living alone, and her chances of getting married. An ADULT woman, choosing to live on her own is not exactly a revolutionary idea.

So by getting ur own apartment, u think u have solved the issue? My dear I will advice u to go back to ur parent's house and just ignore ur mum's comment. If actually u really need a husband, a man will value u more if u re with ur parents than u being living alone.
That type of man is most likely the one that is scared of “independent” women. Because the fact that she lives alone, in her own apartment, should be a positive not a negative.

EducationCourt Outlaws Post-UTME Tests In Tertiary Institutions by PDPGuy(op): 6:37am On Mar 03, 2018
A Federal High Court, Abuja has declared the Post- Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME) conducted by universities, polytechnics and colleges of education in Nigeria as illegal, saying there was no extant law authorising the exercise.

The court held that only the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) could conduct matriculation examinations and give admissions into tertiary institutions by virtue of section 5 (1) (2) of the JAMB Act.

In the judgment, delivered in the suit filed by the Legal Defence and Assistance Project (LEDAP) against JAMB, the Minister of Education and the National Universities Commission (NUC), Justice John Tsoho held that the defendants have no power to allow or direct tertiary institutions to conduct further screening of candidates after they had taken the UTME.

The court further issued a perpetual injunction restraining all tertiary institutions in the country from conducting the Post-UTME or any other form of admission screening tests.

In opposing the suit, JAMB had argued that LEDAP had no locus standi to bring the action, but the court rejected the objection and held that a registered non-governmental organisation (NGO) or an activist lawyer is allowed by law to pursue in court, the right of the largely ignorant members of the society.

LEDAP had submitted that Section 5 (1) (2) of the JAMB Act provides that the body should conduct matriculation examinations for admissions into all tertiary institutions after the UTME.

Subsection (2) (3) provides: "JAMB shall be responsible for determining matriculation requirements and conducting examinations leading to undergraduate admissions and also for admission to National Diploma and the Nigerian Certificate in Education courses."

The plaintiff had submitted that since 2005, tertiary institutions nationwide have been illegally conducting tests and screening candidates seeking admission in violation of section 5 (10) (2) of the JAMB Act.

The court agreed with the plaintiff and further held that the defendants have the responsibility to ensure compliance with the JAMB Act and that the imposition of the Post-UTME on candidates seeking admission was illegal and unlawful.

Sports90 Athletes To Represent Nigeria At Commonwealth Games by PDPGuy(op): 2:05am On Mar 03, 2018
The sports ministry has confirmed that 90 athletes will represent the country at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia.

Nigeria, who placed eight with 11 gold 11 silver and 14 bronze at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, will feature in 10 sports at Gold Coast 2018.

They are athletics, basketball, wrestling, weightlifting, boxing, table tennis, gymnastics, para table tennis, para athletics, para powerlifting.

The national team will be accompanied by 43 team officials to the April 4-15 Games.

Nigeria will present 37 athletes for athletics, four for weightlifting, five male table tennis players, 12 wrestlers, one gymnast, two para table tennis players and two para athletics.

Sports minister Solomon Dalung, who met with the presidents of the 10 federations whose athletes will be taking part in the Games on Wednesday, said the meeting was to assess the participations for the Games, evaluate their prospects and finalise arrangements for the last phase of training.

“This is a down-to-earth meeting on our level of preparations. It is to convince me on how we will win medals based on the preparations we have made so far,” Dalung was quoted as saying in a statement by his media aide Nneka Anibeze.

“The meeting is intended for the federations to defend the athletes they are presenting to us, that we will be taking to this competition. Therefore, we must review and reappraise the level of our preparations and look at those grey areas.”

The Nigeria Basketball Federation Vice-President Babs Ogunade said the US- based players would only be available for camping two weeks to the opening of the Games Village.

Wrestling federation boss Daniel Igali expressed his confidence that his wrestlers would perform creditably following their performance at the recently-concluded African Wrestling Championships in Port Harcourt.
