Dedebanky85: Wow we were close. I just had Senegal in Pot 4 and Serbia in Pot 3 in mine. I even tried to distribute them to groups based on FIFA rules. [img][/img] The ‘easiest’ group for Nigeria would be one also containing Russia, Peru, and Iran. Russia are, by far, the weakest of the top seeds. I wouldn’t fret even if the Super eagles get to play the opening game of the tournament against the hosts. |

The big question is this: will Enyeama heed Rohr’s appeals to come back to the team? Of course, the inclusion will also be based on whether he gets a club team in January.
If he doesn’t, I can’t see a plausible reason for Rohr to bring him to the World Cup party.
Moreover, we don’t know when Carl Ikeme will recover fully from his ailment. So, if he only recovers around 2 months to the tournament, it won’t be wise to also include him in the final 23.
That leaves us with a trio of Ezenwa, Alampasu, and Ajiboye. Ezenwa would obviously be the likely number 1 in Russia. However, if Ikeme fully recovers around January or February, he gets to join Ezenwa and Ajiboye. |

Twitter is still on fire about how the US failed to qualify for the World Cup. Come to think of it, it’s disgraceful for the USMNT to lose to Trinidad and Tobago, who I’m not sure are even in the top 100. |

Mine would be:
Poland Nigeria Costa Rica Peru |

I strongly believe that Rohr has an idea of what his final 23-man squad, or 30-man preliminary squad will look like.
These players: Osimhen, Ebuehi, Joel Obi (if fit), Nwaekaeme, Akpoguma, Ajiboye, and Onyekuru; would be added to the 23 players called up for the Zambia game.
I don’t see Enyeama returning to the team, although if he plays at the World Cup he will become the first Nigerian to play in 4 World Cups. The 3 keepers would be Ikeme, Ezenwa, and Alampasu. If Ikeme doesn’t recover on time, then Ajiboye gets the nod. |

TheSuperNerd: Exclusive: NFF Set To Appoint Ex-Houston Dash Boss Randy Waldrum As Super Falcons Coach
https://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/football_pics/80516Randy1.png
According to information gathered by allnigeriasoccer.com , the Nigeria Football Federation are set to announce the appointment of former Houston Dash manager Randy Jordan Waldrum as the new Nigeria Women's National Team coach in the coming days.
During the interview for the vacant position, the Nigerian Federation Technical Committee had ten options on the table including two foreigners, and it was unanimously agreed that Waldrum should be Florence Omagbemi's successor because of his maturity and technical competence.
Three local coaches have been selected by the Federation to assist Randy Waldrum in carrying out his duties.
Edwin Okon has been appointed as the first assistant coach, Super Falcons record cap holder Maureen Mmadu is the second assistant coach, while the goalkeeper trainer is Auwal Bashar.
It was also recommended that Justin Madugu should manage the U17 Women's National Team, the Flamingoes, and he'll be assisted by Ajuma Peter Otache and Queen Akpan, while Taiwo Tundun is the goalkeeper trainer.
The 61-year-old Waldrum, who was a midfielder during his playing career, previously managed Pittsburg State University, University of Tulsa, University of Notre Dame and Trinidad and Tobago (women) teams.

Source: http://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=24963 This is pure unadulterated bull shit! Maureen Madu, with her experience in coaching teams in Sweden, is eminently qualified to be head coach of the Super Falcons. Moreover, NFF would have saved money by hiring her, unless Aiteo is also responsible for Waldum’s salary. To add salt to injury, they brought back Edwin Okon as a member of the coaching crew The guy who lacks tact with regard to games vs non-African teams. Chai |

Danielnino00: This offside rule needs some more explaining ooo . the Zambians are refusing to accept that their goal was ruled offside..
Even if they appeal,i doubt FIFA will order a replay. the player might not have been offside but the referee had blow the whistle before he went ahead and scored Mulenga was offside because his upper body was ahead of Ekong when he received the pass from his team mate. If any part of the body that can be legally used to score a goal is ahead of the 2nd to last player of the opposing team, then that player (in the attacking position) is offside. |

Mulenga was offside because his upper body was ahead of the 2nd to last Nigerian player in that picture. The laws of the game penalize any player when any part of the body, which can be legally used to score a goal, is ahead of the 2nd to last player of the opposing team. |
