The reigning African queens will confront winners of the two west African teams to qualify for next year's Africa Women Cup of Nations in Ghana

To qualify for the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations billed for Ghana, Nigeria women national team will defeat either Burkina Faso or Gambia in the second qualifying phase.

The Super Falcons along Cote d'Ivoire, South Africa, and Equatorial Guinea were drawn the bye in the first round fixed between February 24-26, 2018 and second leg billed for a week later.

After the first round matches, the first legs of the second round ties are slated between March 31 to April 2 with the second legs holding between from April 7-10, 2018.

Seven teams will progress from the qualifiers will join Ghana for the 13th edition of the tournament scheduled for November 17 to December 1, 2018.

The event will serve as the African qualifiers for the Fifa Women's World Cup with top three teams qualifying for France 2019.

Well, the NFF should just look ahead to the 2018 AWC because neither Burkina Faso nor Gambia should pose even a slight threat to the Super Falcons.

I made a mistake with the Oliha role. But Babangida got more pace than Finidi on the wings, although the latter was the better crosser.
I prioritize speed and trickery in the team cos that's the quality that makes opposing defenses tire out. And that's probably why Coach Amodu (of blessed memory) always subbed in Babangida for Finidi in the 2nd halves of the matches at the Mali 2002 AFCON.

The Super Falcons remain the Pinnacle team in African Women's football and One of the best and most entertaining team in world women football. It is true they need much more support but our girls march on nonetheless. From the Super Falcons to the Super Falconets and to the Flamingoes.... the race is still on to greatness.

I think Republican Congressmen and women are in a bit of a tricky situation.
Those of them who represent districts in which Trump has a relatively high approval rating (50% or more) cannot be all gung-ho in criticizing Trump, or risk being primaried by a hard core Trump supporter.

On the other, those of them who, individually, have much higher approval ratings than the president do not have much to fear when slamming Trump.

Sir, the billion Naira road will be exclusively financed by the Lagos State Government. The FG, could at best, refund LASG a portion of the contract sum for the road. Of course, state governments do not need clearance from the federal government to construct state and/or local roads. On the other hand, a state could ask the federal government to help with maintenance or construction of state roads, with a part of the state's monthly allocation deducted at source to compensate the FG.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has confirmed the dates for the Presidential and National Assembly elections, which will hold in 2019.

INEC chairman, Professor Yakubu Mahmood, made this announcement, while meetijng with members of the Commission and all Resident Electoral Commissioners (REC), at the INEC Headquarters’ Conference Hall, Abuja on Thursday.

According to him, the Presidential and National Assembly elections have been fixed for Saturday, 16th February, 2019.

The event was live-tweeted on INEC’s official Twitter handle.

“The Governorship, State Assembly and Federal Capital Territory(FCT) Area Council elections are fixed for Saturday 2nd March 2019.

“As part of our preparations for the elections, we shall discuss the on-going Continuos Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.

“As you are aware, the foundation of a free and fair election rest on credible Voter Register.

“So far, 2,786,405 citizens have registered in the ongoing exercise out of which 1,619,513 (58%) are Male while 1,166,892 (42%) are female.

“The Presidential and National Assembly elections have been fixed for Saturday 16th February 2019.

Correction: The road is actually being reconstructed by the LASG because Osinbajo, while was Acting President, approved the governor's request for the state to handle the road.
