Politics › New Investor In 4th Mainland Bridge Emerges Before Year End by PDPGuy(op): 7:09pm On Sep 21, 2017 |
Months after it terminated the contract for the long awaited 4th Mainland Bridge, the Lagos State Government says it will name a new investor and partner for the construction of the 38-kilometre bridge/road project before the end of this year (2017). BusinessDay gathered that the Lagos State Government has been digging into the technical and financial capacity of the would-be new investor, to avoid the mistake of the past, which forced it to terminate the earlier contract for the project. The bridge is to be delivered through a Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement. Adebowale Akinsanya, Lagos State Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure Development, confirmed to our correspondent on Monday, that up to 10 investors have submitted proposals and the state government is getting into the last leg of the process of unveiling a new investor/partner in the project, following the verification of their proposals and claims. “We have received five to ten proposals and are currently studying them and verifying their claims,” Akinsanya said, adding that the proposals are a combination of local and foreign investors who are excited about the development of the life-changing infrastructure. Among the foreign would-be investors are those from Europe, South Korea, China and America. http://sundiatapost.com/2017/09/05/new-investor-in-4th-mainland-bridge-emerges-before-year-end/ |

It's a situation were your normal face looks like you are angry. if you are a girl and people always tell you smile when you think your face is in normal mode you probably have it. Her RBF is also a result of plastic surgery she has done on her face. |

You spend stupidly when you don't work hard for your money. Exactly. Yes, she's a brand ambassador, but I doubt whether she would truly splash $1,400 on a bag, with her own money. Or why was he also named as the worlds best player in 2010, ahead of Sneijder or Xavi? You see, it's always the players who are more marketable that win these awards. |

It's crazy. Being telegenic and having huge ratings also helps. |

humilitypays: The simple truth is, Nigerian ladies are very selfish and stingy!
The only reason ladies keep saying that they prefer keeping male friends than female friends is because they love taking advantage of guys financially in the name of friendship without offering anything in return to the guy they call friend.
Of course, I'm not gonna ask for sex from a woman who ain't my girlfriend/fiancée/wife, so my casual female friends are just that...casual friends.
A lady will demand money, call cards, flight ticket, house rent, gifts, free lunch, free ride, etc from her male friends....she expects her male friends to help her fix her home theatre when it develops fault, help her fix fan, help her refill her cooking gas, help drive her to salon, and parties, help fix her car or take it to mechanic, and also help her secure a job but what does she offer to this her male friend Irrelevant gossip and nonsense talk that has no financial or business meaning and she expects this her male friend to be happy with her forever!
Is he your brother or father Even your father that's training you in school and sponsoring u financially expects that when u finally become financially capable tomorrow, that u will take care of him at his old age. So what does your male friends stand to benefit for helping you all through your life And u also expect them to storm your wedding day to shower u with expensive gifts for being a parasite to them all year long and then u go to your husbands house to go and deposit all the value your male friends dumped in your life and they go back home empty handed like Israelites returning from Egypt, lol...I don't blame u ladies sha, I blame some gullible sisy men lol
Nigerian women need to wake up to reality; you can't be a parasite to a man in the name of he is my friend and expect the man to be happy with u forever, not possible!
Guys wake up o, the same girl u have been helping financially, academically, career-wise, business-wise, spiritually for free in the name of "she is my friend" and she gives u nothing in return is busy offering free sex and more to one inconsequential guy that's doing nothing for her at all! In fact, the guy she sleeps with and cooks for and cleans his house and wash his clothes does nothing for her at all....he even beats her join, so Naija guys wake up!
Don't do anything free for any girl in the name of ordinary friend....if u have plenty money to give out, give your sisters, your cousins, nieces, aunts and help the less privilege in the society.
If a girl isn't your sister, not your cousin, not your niece, not your sweet mum, not your girlfriend, not your fiancée, not your wife, not your business partner, then she is nobody but a stranger...if u want to help her, help her as a stranger or a less privilege person, not as a female friend because female friends are parasites in Nigeria!! To be a good female friend to a guy, offer him some value if u don't want to offer him sex. If u can, buy him a car, help him get a good job, lend him big money to invest in his business, sometimes surprise him with worthy and useful gifts, ladies stop being parasites to men....Nigerian men are waking up! you ladies need to wake up too!
You ladies can buy your male friends car and houses na, you can do it! Do it and if he asks u for sex after u have bought him car, house or helped him secure good job, then slap the thunder out of him and report him to me for proper dealing I wish I could like your post 200 times lol. You've said it all. I can give gifts to female friends on their birthdays, or do one or two favors for them, but I can NEVER agree to regularly foot her bills (or part of it). Like you said, I'd rather spend more on my sisters and close relatives. And if I 'loan' a lady money, I'd expect to be paid back. After all, we are all equal, so there should be no special treatment. |

komekn: I disagree with your view, up and down the country all that Moses gets is praise, even from opponents. From Nigerian Chelsea fans, yes he has done well. But if you check message boards of U.K. - based Chelsea fans, a lot of them wanted him to be benched. Also, when managers of these European clubs buy a European player to compete for the same spot with a Black-African player, more than 90% of the time, the African player ends up being benched. So, in a way, I'm happy that Don Conte eased my fear. |

Keep up with the hard work. It will surely pay off in the end. Meanwhile, here's a bit of trivia: Stanford, with an undergrad acceptance rate of only 4.65%, is the most selective university in America. For the 2017/18 academic year, just 2,050 students were granted admission from a pool of over 44,000 applicants. That means 95% of applicants were rejected |

erico2k2: you are forgetting they might work for 10 hours which in your own estimate is btw $75-$120 a day x 5 =$400 to 600 a week average of $2000 a month for a non professional E nor try ? and as for a single person all he needs is one room until he gets his legal status and decides to have a family then rent a flat as a single person why would he need that large space?Only people who have never lived abroad have this mind set, Single people live in rooms to save money for as long as they could no need renting massive apartment cos you want to show off. same in the UK My main point is to dispel the notion that everybody living in the US is living large, or is super comfortable. I am only trying to paint a more realistic picture for some people who feel that because their friend, aunt or uncle makes $2,500 per month, then they are entitled to ask for 'just' $400 every month. That aunt still has other bills to pay aside her rent. Of course, a student or single person doesn't need a 2-bedroom apartment or a house, so a studio/1-bed apt will be sufficient. Even many native Americans and people with legal authorization to work in the U.S., who are professionals and have one or two kids, still live in rented apartments. |

ceecee0703: What's $1 dollar to Naira again? Let's stop deceiving ourselves if he does a menial job of $20 per hour calculate it for 7hrs multiply it by say 25days. Imagine he does 2 of those jobs. Just use ur calculator my sister dollar is N315 or so..lol Lol. No menial job pays as high as $20/hr. The most you'd earn will be between $7.50 - $12/hr doing such jobs, depending on the state you reside in. In places like New York, California or Washington D.C., such earnings can, at best, get you a studio or room rental. You'd certainly won't be able to even afford a one-bedroom apartment. Moreover, the job market in the US is super competitive too. |
