What are you saying. You mean at R16 level?
At either R of 16 or quarterfinal (in 1999). Rennes the team conceeded two goals to Brazil in the first half of the 99 quarter final, and 2 goals to Germany in the first half of the 2019 round of 16

Baba, that Kanu's wing is where James plays from. She needs to support Alozie even if all she does is prevent James from having unnecessary space.
Yeah, I get that.
I just want her to be equally threatening in attack

Not too surprised. But I want to see Kanu do a lil less defending today

Sleep came early for me in the second half of regulation time 😂 I’m only waking up to SM posts about how bad the US penalties were, and the heroics of Musovic!

The Swedish keeper is the keeper of the tourney so far👏🏾

SA’s performance in this match is another strong piece of evidence for CAF to push for 5 or 6 guaranteed spots at the 2027 WC

We can still flex in Africa with some of these girls.
True.

But the Ogwumike sisters would want to play in African tournament sha, especially Nneka
SportsRe: Nigeria Basketball Thread! by PDPGuy(op): 7:16pm On Aug 05, 2023
Imagine if Nneka and Chiney Ogwumike, Elizabeth Williams, Michaela Onyenwere, Promise Amukamara, and Arike Ogunbowale are available for the next Afrobasket😁

FIBA Africa would just hand the trophy to Nigeria on day 1 🤣

SportsRe: Nigeria Basketball Thread! by PDPGuy(op):
Either way, I hope Arike had acquired a Nigerian passport before she turned 16, as that would make her solidly eligible for Naija.

But if she only did so after turning 16, then she would be deemed by FIBA to be a “naturalized player” and FIBA only permits one naturalized player per roster at their tournaments. So, it then comes down to the discretionary power of the FIBA General-Secretary to approve her switch to Naija if it would be “in the interest of the development of the game in Nigeria”.

Moreover, I’m not sure about the status of the appeal that Nneka and Chiney Ogwumike, and Elizabeth lodged with the CAS with regards to their eligibility
