yinkeys: if Rashidat is eligible: maybe just maybe She will be eligible to play the game. But I won’t start her cos she has been subpar for the Falcons in the last few games she’s played |

ThePresenceWtf: Zambia and Morocco shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breathe or sentence as the Super Falcons... The only similarities those teams have with the Super Falcons is "African"
But alas, we have a PE teacher for a head coach and an incompetent FA, so this is our reality now. For real man. The SF usually beat both teams 5-0 or 6-0 as recently as 6 yrs ago |

Deltamani: Spain will definitely teach them a lesson even without their best Defender Mapi Leon and Patri who’s arguably the best Defensive Midfielder alongside Walsh and Oberdorf.. Damn. It will get real ugly Zambia, especially playing with their 3rd choice keeper |

Japan has been wasteful as well... Yea. We would be talking about a 9-0 thrashing🙆🏾 |

In a non-VAR world, it’s easily Japan 6-0 Zambia. |

mostob: Oshoala has not been herself for SF lately. Let's give her a sub role against a tired defence and see how she turns out. I think one reason for her performance is because she rarely switches position now like she did during the triple O era. I wouldn’t mind if Oshoala is moved to the wings as an ‘inverted’ winger like Hazard, where her pace and trickery would be better utilized |

GloriousGbola: My understanding which may be wrong is that Obj was focused on chasing debt relief and fdi and so he spent most of his first term out of Nigeria, leaving Atiku in charge. And Atiku then focused on undercutting Obj. The end result of all of this was Atiku and his most visible supporters being dealt with to send a message.
I have always said that if Atiku had not been so overambitious, he would have been president easily. What was coming to him with no effort, he has now spent the rest of his life chasing after to no avail.
And he also fked things over for VPs who followed after him. The only VPN who had any semblance of power since then was Osinbajo. Imagine if Atiku was PDP’s candidate in 2007 and later president, we would have had either a Donald Duke or Soludo as VP. There was no way Atiku would have chosen an over-bearing guy like Odili as his VP, or complete light weight like GEJ. |

I’ll prefer a midfield and attacking combo of Echegini, Ayinde, Payne, and Ucheibe; Kanu and Oshoala
As usual, the width would be provided by Plumptre and Alozie |

Plus their schedules are one kind. They played too many friendlies before the tourney.
Sam Kerr may only be fit to face Nigeria. She didn't play today after injuring herself in training. Sam Kerr will miss the Nigeria game |

carbonado: ...i rambled about this the other day, i am sure some people thought i was not okay or something. It is very obvious now than ever that something is different between both genders. However, i do not think the powers that be will do much about it, since what most of them care about is the business side of things. It will take the players or former players to speak up. Thank God our darling falcons are good. Yea, you’re onto something: the greed of some of the FAs in organizing 5 friendlies within a month to the World Cup (because of the $$) may end up costing their teams at this tournament |

What the hell is happening ? Is there a virus in air that only affects best players ? Has to be something about the training regimen of female players. Maybe there should be a specialized training regimen that takes into account the physiological differences between men and women |

lovewins: Was very surprised. New Zealand dominated almost the entire game. Shocked to say the least. They can still qualify though if they get their acts together. Yeah, it’s like someone did juju on the Norwegians cos even Bayelsa Queens would beat the Norway that we watched some hours ago. 😁 I agree that if they get their acts together (especially on the tactics), they may get results vs the Swiss and the Philippines |
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by PDPGuy: 2:36pm On Jul 20, 2023 |
The Norwegians are, borderline, the worst of the four teams that have played. Up until the 80th, they were barely coherent in their attacking play, and their midfield was almost completely useless which rendered Ada and Graham Hansen ineffective |

Some unwanted WC records held by the Super Falcons (per Complete Sports)
- The team has conceded the most goals (63) in WC history - They are the only team to have gone scoreless at 2 or more world cups (1995, and 2003) - The Super Falcons have lost 19 matches: the most of any team till date. - The 1995 WC match v Canada was watched by only 250 fans in the stands, making that game the least attended in WWC history. |

Opening WC fixtures:
July 20: New Zealand v Norway at 8am Australia v Republic of Ireland at 11am

Deltamani: The Australian Maltidas played 4-4-2 against France before switching to 4-3-3 and then back to 4-4-2
You wouldn’t wanna see Sam Kerr and Onome Ebi in Foot race, Maybe Chasing a Long ball
Australia Players to mark are their Playmaker No.19 Katrina Gorry, their Left Winger No.9 Caitlin Foord, Sam Kerr No.20 their Star Player and maybe their No.23 Kyra Cooney-Cross their Corner kick Specialist.. And they must not forget their Speedster Cortnee Vine #5 I expect Onome Ebi to lead from the bench, just as Yobo did for the majority of the 2013 AFCON. |

With 4 days to the mundial, here are two features we would see at the World Cup:
- The 3D offside technology, which was introduced at last year’s men’s World Cup, will be used to aid the referees to make even more accurate offside calls.
-Also, for the first time ever, referees have been permitted by FIFA to explain their decisions, following a VAR review, to the fans in the stadium and TV viewers. |
