Nigerians on social media have reacted to a poster with the inscription “GEJ Is Coming Back” which suggests the ambition of former President Goodluck Jonathan to contest for presidency in the 2023 elections.

The poster done by a faceless group known as the National Agenda for Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. It claimed it aimed for a better Nigeria come 2023.

However, this has been greeted with mixed reactions from citizens with many condemning Jonathan’s ambition.

This was even after the Instagram blog, mufasatundeednut, queried if Nigeria was going backwards or forward.

In her reaction, popular actress, Nkechi Blessing said she would vote for Jonathan if he chooses to run. She wrote, “I will over vote for him sef.”

Another Instagram user, @popcorrnn._ wrote, “Yesss oh, he should please come back. He had a far better government than Buhari, & it took for him to go for us to realize it, he should please come back.”

For @_james_oluwa, it is better to vote for Jonathan than any other candidate. He wrote, “It’s better to vote for him than any other candidate!! The Angel you know before is better than the one u just meet.”

However, others have shown a contrary opinion saying the former President would simply dent his image if he ran for the presidency again.

One of such users is @icobenson who said, “He will fail woefully, he didn’t maximize the opportunity given to him initially, so what does he have to offer this time absolutely NOTHING we need a fresh start. Soro Soke.”

The only difference between GEJ and Buhari is the price of oil. They are both clueless and incompetent. Jonathan himself would, never attempt being President again but just be laughing at the dumbo - dumbos for ignorantly praising his cluelessness. However, Nigerian problem is more of systemic than individual issues, which means even if a genius becomes president of this country come 2023, he is likely to be worse than the former or make no difference in terms of performance

Good afternoon nairalanders. As I'm typing this, my mum is not herself and she's been crying since morning because she caught my younger one smoking in his room..

He locked himself in the room for a very long time and my mum decided to go check on him. After a while, he sprayed his room and opened the door.

The room was filled with this hard drug smell, she called me and we decided to check the room even though he denied ever smoking.. We saw a light brown paper that he probably tears from, a nylon containing something like sand and a lighter behind the toilet seat. Despite all this, he still denied it claiming the smell is probably from the next compound.
My brother just clocked 16 and he's in SS2..

How can I advise and help him stop because I believe he was actually smoking even though he denied it?

There may be nothing wrong with his source of wealth. He may be one of these stingy, principled people out there. There is a friend of mine whose father happens to be a senior professor, he does behave around people around him the same way the OP just says about his brother. For instance, this professor pays students school fees for fun but he never bought a phone for his son(first born o) throughout his stay in school.

A Nigerian man who has lived abroad for over two decades has died after landing in the country.

A brother to the late man, Mmadu Jude Egozor said that his late brother died after returning to the country to settle down and establish.

He added that his brother landed in Nigeria on the 2nd, but died on the 4th of January, less than 48hours after entering the country.

He however, didn't specify exactly what killed his brother.
