Most of the problems arising now are as a result of development. So we cant say we are not developing.We just don't have the correct systems in place to handle the rapid and fast growth.

See how we are becoming increasingly attractive to international investors even perceptions are becoming distinctly positive.

Look at Africa's shares of FDI projects.It has improved. But these we call executives in 'developed economies' tend to be less positive about Africa than their peers

in''emerging economies'.Simply becoz the emerging peers regard Africa as critical in sustaining 'their' own growth,whereas the developed see us as a 'potential'

future market in need of development!

Many people do not even realise what strides Africa has taken forward .Those executives unfamiliar with Africa tend to be concerned about political

stability,corruption and weak infrastructure!! (same old boring story)

Africa is truly urbanizing fast, a change that is predictable as well as beneficial. But! this urbanization needs and consumption appetite create challenges for the

continent, mainly in building infrastructures.(ref to my earlier comment) .This situation has severe consequences for health, incomes, and market integration.

This makes me wonder at times if we are ready to handle some major developments. Our minds need a shift.
