very funny thread. |
thanks gallivant. that crater.. i wonder if it's habitable cz it looks gosh! this is beautiful.. |
Hbuyosh: Yeah, but it is not often that visible. The view tends to be clearer in the months of March-May. But in the other months, it is rather hazy. Too many people often confuse the ice-topped peak for a distant cloud.I am impressed.I am fascinated by nature and the best view I have had of kilimanjaro is when approaching Arusha. There's is another mountain whose name I can hardly remember but some jungus were taking photos from the air assuming that it was kilimanjaro.-well me too. ![]() Until the majestic mountain's peak became visible and the sight was magnificent! Tumezoea Mt Kenya but Kilimanjaro looked like a platform on the clouds. ![]() @ gallivant what's that mountain that's soo close to Arusha town? -the northern side not far from the hotel? |
Chokl8: Thanks for responding Pendo!!oh c'mmon! 5 years, I will be toothless. ![]() I believe that you will find an even more advanced city in 5 years-lots of developments taking place so karibu-welcome. |
sexkillz: All I see is a dumb woman deceiving another dumb(er) woman. Only dumb people believe that a human placing his/her hand over your crotch and muttering some incomprehensible gibberish will make an addiction stop. . . Deliverance my left butt cheek. ![]() |
bluerange: as am reading this na buru buru our matatu dey pass, nothing go do me until l reach my destination-kariebagi south! he ought not argue with an armed man. Matatu sef na mobile club, d volume of music coming from these grafitti covered buses na die!You stay in Kariobangi? I agree with you, moreso if you are a Buru mat user. The also have got free Wifi and those beats can digest the food in the stomach. But not all mats are tech. The old not so tech ones are left for the old guys and can't compete with the modern ones on the roads. To the dead guy,God rest his soul in peace. |
wooow!!! kilimanjaro from times tower? ![]() |
larride: God, you warned me not to open this thread but I didn't listen. Forgive me Lord, I will never disobey you again ![]() |
anyone who has ever been to nairobi i have a question well two...please answer them for me: just out of curiosity, what are the best places to visit for someone who has never been there before? and generally speaking, how friendly are the locals?
Now now kails where do I start?Ok are you visiting kenya or Nairobi? because truth be told, the fascinating tourists destinations are a distance away from the main city. City tourism is for business travellers on short stay and you won't get to see the real beauty of kenya if you don't go out of the city. I could list so many places eg the giraffe centre, game reserve, museum, etc but a good tour guide should be able to put a nice package tour for you inclusive of beach and safari. |
solomon111: you don't just deport a diplomat.find out why this one had to be. |
dasparrow: @PostHave you bothered to find out the reason behind his deportation? There are several nigerians in kenya without dramas and they are cool |
sickening.just sick. |
I enjoy reading about west africa. keep up. ![]() |
In addition to pendo89's apt point there'll be nothing to inspire us regular vinyangarikas to aim high.If i want to be an achiever i think i'll measure myself and aspire to be like the Muthaiga and Karen types and not kangemi or Sinai(pipeline) types.Wale wako kwa slums are there fo a reason one of which is they're indisciplined and less demanding of themselves.Ukiona vile wanakaa na takataka you see folks who are not very stringent on themselves or place high standards on everything they do.Those types of folks will not inspire us to aim high so avoiding picha zao is not just about foreign eyes, its first and foremost about inspiring us wakenya wa kawaida.I would never glorify mediocrity. Anyway,i'm brand new here and this is my 1st post so bear with me.
nakuunga mkono. hakuna sifa katika shida au umaskini.aspire and aim higher. |
We are used to seeing Africa from the slums and most people esp foreigners do not believe how developed some regions are until they visit. What I am saying is,tumezoea picha za kawaida. It's time to show the good side of Africa. akiweka za kawa guys will just derail. |
We mourn with you during this time of tragedy.Poleni sana. To the dead RIP To the bereaved, take comfort in God To the airline-improve saftey standards if it was technical/mechanical To the rest- Be optimistic. |
CAMEROONPRIDE: asanteUkija EA, you will feel at home. Let me just say that most folks don't know much about cameroon apart from the history and tv documentaries. I have only one cameroonian friend, that I met in a conference at Arusha and he is the only cameroonian that I know of! I dont' know where the cameroonians in Kenya hide. No one will tag you ,honestly our guys are kind to guests but just cautious, hakuna matata. ![]() |
@ gallivant, leopard haiwezi ruka uikute imerest chini ya bed inside the tent hapo juu? iko open sana. ![]() |
CAMEROONPRIDE: I hope u ask potential Italian tourists to not come with their mafia.Aha lovely. Anyway,We love guests and try as much as possible to make them feel at home. Museveni the rapper ,speaks 'ugandan swahili' which I find to be very very funny. They have lots of 'chis' in their wordings, ok not many ugandans know swahili which is Kenya's and TZ's national language.Sheng is corrupted swahili eg.mzeiya, mtu nguyaz, ngata, ngeta, kudialala, you can't find such words in google. It's used to confuse the old. ![]() It can't be learnt either because the words change weekly/hourly depending on the region. Unakaribishwa Kenya. hakuna mbrrrrrrrrrrrrricha. ![]() |
Ayanle, Did you read the disturbing story on Muslim girls in UK? How they get molested by their brother, fathers, uncles,bf etc? just in case you missed, please read below. The report examines organised intimate exploitation by gangs and groups in the UK’s Asian and Muslim, Hindu and Sikh communities - Pakistani, Indian, Bangladeshi, Somali and Afghani - but also notes the involvement of white offenders. Now everytime you tell someone to touch ankle, remember they are not your small sister. |
ok I am tired.I am not a midnight bat like you ayanle. Take a bath and brush your teeth before you sleep. bye. |
Ajuran: Thats not true, dont make up lies, cause alshabaab all want to die so they can go to heaven. All their attacks are suicide.RUBBISH. Now read here. Al Shabaab to use human shields Al Shabaab plans to use civilians as human shields in some of the 10 towns targeted for attack by the Kenya Defence Forces, and many are now living in fear. The militia is preventing civilians in the towns from leaving and fear has gripped many as they await possible air strikes. The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) said on Tuesday it planned "imminent" air raids on militant bases and warned residents to stay clear of them. "Al Shabaab ordered us to stay and die at the hands of Kenya, to dwell in paradise," Abdikadir Weydow, a resident of the southern Somali town of Afmadow, told Reuters. Afmadow, a rebel bastion and strategic transit point for contraband smuggled through rebel-controlled Kismayu port, is seen as a likely flashpoint for a confrontation between Kenyan forces and Al Shabaab militants. Kenyan and Somali Government troops, as well as militia nominally allied to Somali Government, have set up forward positions close to Afmadow. In numerous other towns, including Baardheere, Baidoa, and Afgoye, many people were preparing to escape, hoping to lie low in the bush or reach the Kenyan frontier. "We are determined to flee to the jungle. We cannot stay in a town which is to be bombed," said Baardheere resident, Yusuf Guled. Others too poor to afford transport, or with elderly relatives, were hunkering down, bracing for an aerial assault. "The roads are muddy and I am with my aged parents who cannot travel. We have to turn a deaf ear to Kenya’s air strike (warning) come what may," said Filsan Osman by telephone from Baidoa, about 270km northwest of Mogadishu. Military spokesperson Emmanuel Chirchir told Reuters on Tuesday its forces would not target civilians, but warned they needed to stay away from rebel bases to avoid being caught up in the bombardments. Kismayu resident Hawa Ali Yusuf welcomed Kenya’s incursion to rout the insurgents from southern Somalia, but urged the KDF to refrain from dropping bombs. Eastleigh-(somali terrorist haven in kenya,) residents have also suffered bloody reprisals from other Kenyans who blame the Somali community for the terrorist attacks.Well somali woman ,your coward here, ayanle insists that they did it, so keep running towards the border cz he doesn't give a damn about you. |
Hbuyosh: And the committed a sin of dressing up in buibuis like women to evade capture. Islam doesn't allow men dressed up like women, they were that desperate...yep! They do not need KDF to chase them out of kenya,no,that's a waste of time and ammunition, the outlawed Mungiki alone will handle them squarely and ensure that they never look at a woman again. ![]() |
Hbuyosh: Not very likely. Only in your dreams. U had the opportunity to prove your military prowess at the city of Kismayu. Why didnt you engage the kenya military there. Why didnt u push them back to the sea? Why did u disappoint yourselves (and our military) like that? You showed your cowardice by using innocent unarmed civilians as shields against the kenya army onslaught. That is is not a very brilliant war tactic. They ran away and used their women and children as shields!!! jeez!! animals. |
let me read from page 1.
