President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is allegedly using the Department of State Services (DSS) to intimidate the judges of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) to pass a unanimous decision in his favour in the petitions brought by the Peoples Democratic Party and Labour Party challenging his victory in the 2023 presidential election.

A reliable source told Pointblank news correspondent in confidence that Tinubu is hopeful that the secret police will pressurize the Justices in the election petition tribunal to deliver judgment in his favour.
Findings by our correspondent showed that after an emergency meeting by the President’s camp to weigh its options in the event of a likely rerun, a former governor, whose name is part of the ministerial list from the southern part of the country; submitted recently to the Senate, maintained that a re-run is not a good option for owing to the state of affairs in the country.

The camp of the President is said to be enjoying the support of three out zof the four Justices on the panel.

They initially boasted of a 3-2 lead against the LP/ PDP in the tribunal but believe that their antics are working since they celebrated the coming on board of an additional judge, who they believe had succumbed to their pressure and joined the fray.
However, another source within the DSS, who is not authorized to speak for the agency said that part of the strategy of the Tinubu camp is to compel the justices to submit their judgements to the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Olukayode Ariwoola, for final vetting before delivery.

The youths reportedly started the looting spree at the grain warehouse located at PZ Roundabout, a stone's throw away from the Yola International Airport.

In what appears as a repeat of the fallout of the #EndSARS protest of 2020, youths in Adamawa are currently looting government-owned grain reserves and other shops.

Some of them have also started looting private stores.

One of the looters who spoke to our correspondent blamed the action on the hardship being experienced in the country following the removal of subsidy on premium motor spirit otherwise known as petrol.

To manage the situation, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has declared a 24-hour curfew.

A statement from the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Himwashi Wonosikou said, "The Governor of Adamawa State, the Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has declared a 24-hour curfew on the state, effective immediately Sunday, 30th July, 2023.

"Governor Fintiri said the curfew followed the dangerous dimension the activities of hoodlums had assumed across the state capital as they attack people with machetes and break into business premises and homes, carting away property.

"With the curfew imposed, there will be no movement throughout the state.

"Rt. Hon. Fintiri said only those on essential duties with valid identification would be permitted to move around during the period of the curfew.

"The Governor is appealing to citizens and residents of the state to comply with the directive, adding that any person found contravening the order would be arrested and made to face the wrath of the law."

Peter Obi refused to present any tertiary qualification to INEC, except GCE. Then his aide later presented his university degree to the public instead of showing us an INEC certified copy.

What was Obi hiding?

Why did Obi avoid presenting his university degree certificate and the associated NYSC certificate?

Ahead the November governorship election in Kogi State, five political parties and their candidates have collapsed their structure to work for the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Ahmed Usman Ododo at the poll.

The parties are All People’s Party, (APP) , Action Democratic Party, (ADP), Because Of Our Tomorrow,(BOOT), National Rescue Movement, NRM, Zenith Labour Party, (ZLP), who are Members of the United Progressives Political Parties, Kogi State Chapter, said they have decided to collapse their political parties’ structures to ensure Ahmed Ododo’s Victory come November 11 election.

The decision of the political parties to work for Ododo’s victory was announced by the forum leader, Mallam Bala AbdulGafar Idrisu, the governorship candidate of NRM, who addressed newsmen on Saturday at the NUJ press centre, Lokoja.

He expressed their decision to collapse their structures and support Ahmed Ododo to be the next Governor of Kogi State.

He further appealed to the party members from Kogi East, West and Central to massively support and work for the APC Governorship Candidate, Alhaji Usman Ododo come November 11 election.



One of the governorship candidate who also collapsed structure for APC candidate, Onaji Sunday of APP said the political parties resolved to support and work for Ododo’s victory because they believed he is the best candidate.

In her own remarks, the ZLP candidate, Hon Fatima Suleiman, said “We have all decided to collapse our structures to work for Ahmed Usman Ododo. We are supporting Ododo’s mandate and we are going to work toward his victory as the next Governor of Kogi state,” she said.

Speaking at the event attended by youths and women, the former Chairman of Lokoja local government and current Special Adviser to Governor Yahaya Bello on Political matters, Mallam Idris Lokoja thanked the candidates for their good moves adding that the ruling party, APC appreciate the gallantry decision taken by them.

He urged the youths and other kogites to vote for the APC Governorship candidate in the forthcoming governorship election, noting that Ahmed Ododo is the best among all the candidates based on his antecedents, competency and record of achievements.

Another senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Hon. Ibrahim Itodo also commended the United Progressive political parties in kogi state for collapsing their structures for APC governorship candidate,saying with the development, Ahmed Ododo’s victory is getting more swollen.
