Politics › Re: Ministerial Nominee, Sani Danladi Barred By Supreme Court From Political Office by Penguin2: 3:00pm On Jul 29, 2023 |
garfield1: The supreme court did not ban him sir.
. The judgement of the Supreme Court against the Appeal of Alhaji Sani Abubakar Danladi today the 5th day of July, 2019 means that the Judgement of the Federal High Court, Jalingo which disqualified Alhaji Sani Abubakar Danladi from contesting the March 9th, 2019 Governorship election in Taraba state still subsist and has full effect because as it stands now; the Federal High Court judgement have not been altered nor set aside by the Supreme Court which is the highest court in Nigeria.
"a. As it stands today, it is deemed by the law that APC had no candidate in the March 9th Governorship election held in Taraba state.
"b. Alhaji Sani Abubakar Danladi (Sani Contact) was not the candidate of APC in the March 9th, 2019 Governorship election in Taraba state.
"c. Alhaji Sani Abubakar Danladi never contested the March 9th, 2019 Governorship election in Taraba state against Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku; and Sani was not recognized by APC as their candidate. He is neither recognised by INEC as a candidate for APC during the election.
"d. Every vote cast (Score) for Sani Abubakar Danladi and APC in the March 9th, 2019 Governorship election in Taraba state was colossal and amounted to nothing.”
"EFFECT OF THE JUDGEMENT ON ALHAJI SANI ABUBAKAR DANLADI’S POLITICAL CAREER AND FUTURE. Sani Abubakar Danladi destroyed himself and committed political suicide by presenting a questionable WAEC certificate to INEC and lying on oath in his form CF001 before the 2019 election about his age.
"By virtue of the judgement, Sani Abubakar Danladi is finished politically and morally. Sani now stands a chance to be sent to prison should the appropriate and relevant investigative and prosecutory institutions in Taraba state receive his documents in their table. Lying on oath in INEC form CF001 and using a WAEC certificate that does not belong to him to obtain political benefit are both criminal. “
"The Taraba state government is also under a heavy moral and legal obligation to do the needful by raising a GOVERNMENT WHITE PAPER recognising the judgement and thereafter Gazette/Publish same in the official Gazette of the state; and this shall imply that Sani Abubakar Danladi shall not be qualified to contest for; nor hold any political office from the date of the Gazette to a period of ten years. Taraba state government do not have a choice in this regard except to Gazette the judgement else the government will be accused of aiding and abetting crime," the statement added. Must Tinubu work with tainted people? Is there no clean politician in Taraba that can be nominated? Must it be the one with baggage? |

garfield1: The headline is misleading sir.the apex court only advised that the taraba govt should gazette his offence and ban him.they never did.cc Fergie001, penguin2 There you go again with defending a criminal with technicality. The Supreme Court has ruled that he perjured and banned him for 10 years, and you are saying Taraba State needs to gazette the judgment before it can indict him. When did the executive start gazetting judgments before they become effective? So, if Taraba govt doesn’t gazette the judgment (a claim I believe is false), therefore Mr Danlandi is still innocent irrespective of what the Supreme Court has said? That’s how you guys are defending Tinubu’s criminal forfeiture in the US, arguing that it was not registered in Nigeria therefore it can not be enforced on Tinubu. |

Apparently, PDP boys ran and spread fake news that Hon. Mathew (Okada Honourable) was sacked by the court and the PDP candidate declared winner.
But the right information filtering in now is that the Tribunal actually struck out the case of the PDP candidate and upheld the election of the Labour Party Rep Member.
I wonder what PDP boys hoped to gain with fake news that won’t change the ruling of the court.

Politics › Nigerians Roast Kamala Harris For Calling Tinubu (pictures) by Penguin2(op): 5:51pm On Jul 28, 2023 |
Overwhelming majority of Nigerians are not happy with US Vice President, Kamala Harris, after she made a post on Twitter of her phone call conversation with Bola Tinubu over the situation in Niger 🇳🇪.
Many tweeps are angry because such tweet bestows some remote legitimacy on Tinubu whom most people believe is an illegitimate president.
Why this is interesting is that Kamala Harris’s comment section is a mess right now; almost every comment is against Tinubu with majority of them posting such facts as the European Union report on the election, Tinubu’s forfeiture in the US due to drug trafficking, etc.
One can only wonder the kind of perception she would draw of Tinubu and his government if she dares go through her comment section.
All eyes on the Judiciary!
