Daniel Bwala, one of the Presidential Media Aides to Tinubu, has stated on Arise TV that Lagos State is a No Man’s Land and that’s why they didn’t include it in the infrastructure distribution chart that they drew up for Southwest.
I hope everyone can see it now before they say Igbos are the ones calling Lagos a No Man’s Land.
fergie001: He can't get PDP ticket, he will be sabotaged from within.
Where will Obi get the ticket? My issue was hobnobbing with Abure in the night and fighting him in the day. Again, Atiku & Obi should take responsibility that they messed it all up in 2022, same as El-Rufai.
First, Obi will get a presidential ticket and be on the ballot in 2027. I don’t know which party yet, but he will be on the ballot.
Second, you will not blame Obi for leaving PDP in 2022. Atiku already had an agreement with PDP governors to choose a running mate from amongst them should he get the ticket to avoid a repeat of what happened in 2019. What did you expect Obi to do? Fold his hands?
You and I know that the only reason Obi is a factor today is because he did what he did in 2022/2023. Now, he’s a battle tested general with 6million votes bank and therefore can no longer be ignored in any political factoring.
Presidential Election in the North could be unpredictable with Buhari out of the picture, the storm is gathering.
The North, esp NW will likely go in one direction hence no division from the South. Seyi is working for them, that's all. So neither Obi, GEJ or any Southerner should puncture that. Tinubu needs at least 12/13 States in the South before he starts going to fight in the North. He doesn't want any mistakes whatsoever, especially in the SS.
You know these permutations yet you never seem to give Obi a chance.
If Obi gets PDP ticket or becomes candidate of the opposition and they get the NW to do a one way traffic voting for him, you know it’s game over for Tinubu. Add it to the fact that once the north decides where to vote, their votes are usually difficult to rig.
ufotunang: ..at that time girls were not desperate for money and Brazilian hair.. girls had intergity, dignity, self discipline, self control, self value, self esteem and contented with whatever they had
Prof Yakubu was also overwhelmed too.. ... overwhelmed with lots of fake results which got up to his table from the lower levels, and he declared them like that.
So, I ask again. Is there anything that would be done differently this time around in order to prevent those written fake results from being brought to the table of the final announcer?
(As for me, I have some ideas which I am still testing.. I will not announce it yet, until I'm done testing, AND THE RESULTS ARE GOOD)
The reason Yakubu succeeded in 2023 is because he told the world that results will be transmitted electronically, eliminating any chance of rigging, and we believed him. Hence, no one was prepared for any alternative outcome.
But do you really think Nigerians will be ready to tolerate that kind of rubbish again in 2027?
BluntCrazeMan: This current INEC cannot give it.. (I guess you know that already)
So, is there anything that can be done differently this time?
As much as Jega is praised, INEC under him wasn’t perfect either. They were simply overwhelmed and couldn’t help but declare Buhari.
That’s what everybody interested in rescuing Nigeria should do. From the coalition to all political parties and every Nigerian.
The strategy should be to overwhelm INEC until they have no option.
If you are hoping to get institutional reforms from Tinubu by analyzing Supreme Court judgments and requesting INEC to follow their own guidelines, you go wait tire.
BluntCrazeMan: SUMMARY OF THE SUPREME-COURT JUDGEMENT ON THE EDO STATE ELECTION PETITION OF ASUE IGHODALO AND PDP VERSUS INEC AND MONDAY OKPEBHOLO AND APC.
You can download a copy of the Supreme Court Judgement through the link below...
Here below are some of the new lessons which I learnt from the Supreme Court Judgement of the Edo State Election Petition..
Lol!
I like how optimistic you always are about Nigerian institutions under Tinubu.
So, you think Asue lost because of all these jargons the Supreme Court justices wrote here?
They had a predetermined outcome in mind, which was to retain Okpebholo whether by hook or crook, and no evidence or legal arguments would have been enough.
You need to stop saying you have “learned” something from the judgment because if you do the things they’ve stated here in another Tribunal litigation, they will argue from another angle.
Let’s focus on getting the right head as president who will appoint a CJN that will clean the rot. Any other thing is waste of time.
They noticed the first idiot they co-opted to do the job had no locus as he had previously resigned his membership of ADC and they recruited a new idiot.
In the end, all these are efforts in futility. Because Supreme Court has said parties should decide their leadership and INEC recognized chairman and secretary of ADC wrote to INEC and invited them to a NEC meeting where the party chose new leadership for itself which is legally binding on all parties including INEC.
All these are just media entertainments to excite Agbado people.
And in the end, ADC might just be the smokescreen. The choice of the party for contest of elections may even shock everyone.
fergie001: I have been telling Penguin2 since April that Obi should not contest. Sponsor people instead, House of Reps, Senate, even Governorship. Continue your philanthropy and your voice will continue to resonate, I know his inner circle will tell him not to listen!
It's not a matter of coming out to endorse anybody... Condition 1 very possible. Conditions 2 & 3 never happening. Onwuabasi should just rest, he has made his mark and written his name in the sands of time.
But you and I know that until Peter Obi is on the top and implements the necessary electoral reforms, the candidates he supports may not win anything again.
I don’t buy that he should stop contesting.
In fact, if he fails in 2027, let him drag it with the north in 2031.
Like I told you before, we will never get anywhere if we are waiting for when they will tell us “come and take”.
We have to keep forcing our way until they let us in.
franchasng: Nigeria is not yet prepared for quality leadership.
They need to play their tribal-religious politics for another 100 years so that more Nigerians can kpai of hunger to enable the fortunate ones that survive it to have some sense and boldness to demand and fight for good leadership devoid of tribal-religious rhetorics they are currently doing now.
Youths from my region reading this should just focus on improving their lives through foreign migration (Japa), trade, entrepreneurship, skill acquisition and personal development which never fails no matter the government in power.
We have fought a good fight but the people we are occupying same nation with are not ready, they are still stuck in the 1960s events, so let them continue until hunger and hardship reduce their number to a reasonable population
Fair enough! But I’m a firm believer in never giving up; you can call it dangerous optimism.
If we let the ruiners (like Dele Faratomi calls them), they will never give way. We have to keep pushing until we push them away.
Okoroawusa: Bro take it easy. The constitution is quite clear about things like this. Whether he wrote a letter or not, once the governor or president is not around automatically the vice president or deputy gets into the acting position. It was changed after the incident of Yar'Adua and Jonathan.
Why did it not come into effect when Buhari was away for more than the period stipulated by the new amendment?
fergie001: Yes, let him go to the PDP he left 20 years ago and let them deal with him properly so he will know what politics is. Nobody is giving him any ticket.
The south has been asked to go and microzone the presidential slot.
Now, considering that the Southsouth has produced a president recently and the Southwest currently in power, I see them microzoning to Southeast.
And once NEC rectifies the microzoning to Southeast, I can comfortably go to Obi’s house and lead him by the hand back to PDP; because he would have no challenger at all.
fergie001: Don't let anyone deceive you, it's a death knell. He knew all the while, that's why the boy was far away from his campaign or even the country as a whole. Infact, there are more photos surfacing by the day and to say I am shocked is to put it mildly. It doesn't even have to do with his father's chances or not, a boy brought up under a man who is a core and conservative Roman Catholic, that's one of the last things you will perceive. He can't wriggle away from this, I don't even know how he will do this. His son has nothing to lose so what's his business. Well, I wish all of them the best.
We really wish them the best.
But I trust Obi, he will find a way to wriggle himself out of it.
fergie001: Like what was he thinking putting it out there or even getting involved in it in the first place?
I can't wrap my head around it.
But it wasn’t Oseloka that posted it na, it was the other ijiot in female clothing.
But how did Obi let his son derial to this extent?
For a personality like Obi, all his children should have world class mentors constantly in their lives ensuring they do not do anything to jeopardize their father’s chances.
Because whilst this may not be a deathnail, it’s really going to cause some damage especially in conservative Muslim north.
casualobserver: Obi rigged, he would have won overwhelmingly but he rigged, we saw the videos. Everybody rigs. Rigging is part of the Nigerian DNA. Obi rigged when he was governor so why suddenly would he not rig in 2023 in an election where he can declare what he wants unopposed? . It is precisely in zones where you have overwhelming support that the most rigging occurs because you have the terrain to yourself and nobody will contest the result.
You lost an election so your opponent had no need to examine your votes does not mean you did not rig. You accused your opponent of rigging does not mean you did not rig yourself. That I said he rigged does not mean I was saying he still would not have won with a landslide. We have seen elections lost because a contestant overinflated the votes in his stronghold and they were cancelled, yet he would have won without the rigging. . We have seen elections where a contestant inflated the results in his stronghold even though he would have won without rigging, an example being Uzodinma in 2023. Every politician (or his foot soldiers) rigs in his stronghold if he can.
As for the rest keep arguing. At this stage I am tired of years of telling you guys how things will unfold and you guys always pushing back only for them to unfold exactly as I said. The day Obi left PDP, I said he just handed the presidency to Tinubu, I got so much pushback here on Nairaland maybe even you might have been one of them. Now suddenly they now realize a divided house cannot win an election and they are running around trying to form a coalition. It really amazes me how Nigerians can’t see what is staring them right in the face!
You can’t play the religious card in Benue and Plateau! The Benue conflicts turns out to be inter tribal conflicts.
In 2023, Peter Obi won the election but INEC shutdown the IREV and conjured numbers for Tinubu.
You can choose to lie to yourself and believe that Tinubu won Rivers.
If today, it’s taken as official that Tinubu won Rivers, then imagine other atrocities that happened in that election that is now official. Or those things don’t count?
And saying that Benue is inter-tribal war, what has Tinubu done to stop the war?
And how did you arrive at the war being inter-tribal when the governor of the state has told the world on national television that foreigners have invaded his state and trying to displace his people?
Or do you now know more than the governor that receives intelligence everyday?
