Is there a conspiracy to sabotage Soludo candidacy or what? Why is everyone defecting from APGA? Especially the Deputy Governor. That’s the height of it all. |
Efficiency7:Again, he’s close to Tinubu. Very close. |
Efficiency7:I tire o! Reason I didn’t even know about him as much as I follow politics in Nigeria. I had to go to YouTube to watch some clips of him and I only found one. No one knows his thoughts on the issues bedeviling Nigeria. |
RPG2020: ![]() They think it’s by breaking blocks. I pity countries that are gearing up to fight America. They will be fighting robots and missiles |
In 2021 when Armies are inventing technologies to fight opponent armies remotely without them being in the field of combat, these ones are here using hand to bend iron and break bricks. North Korea mumu no too much?
|
DubaiLandLord2:So you are by extension saying Buhari is guilty of war crimes for ordering the shooting of Bandits? Or do you know the circumstances of their arrest? Or their guns should have been tied on their waists for you to know they were arrested with weapons? |
helinues:Are you making sense right now? Well, I’m not surprised. None of you have been none to sustain any logical argument with facts without resorting to incoherent gibberish. |
SadiqBabaSani:So if Tinubu converts to Christianity before 2023 and picks up APC ticket as a ‘Christian’, pairing with a Muslim northerner, you will vote for them? |
helinues:You should have done well in supplying evidence(s) of my lies. You have any? |
sapientia:Let’s assume for instance that Peter Obi did other their shooting, are you saying therefore that the criminals are justified to have constituted themselves terrorists in Upper Iweka? If you say they shouldn’t have been killed, does it by implication suggest that you are in support of amnesty for Boko Haram and Bandits? That they should be ‘rehabilitated’ and released back to the society? |
helinues:Because I want you to read and know the truth, internalize it, and stop rehashing lies. That’s if you are capable of those. |
Asgard73:There’s need to worry about it. Because these propaganda if not tackled now will take root. And before long, those who do not know the facts will start the believe the lie. |
You mean Gbenga ‘Betrayal’ Daniel? The man couldn’t wait for Supreme Court rule on Atiku’s case before defecting to APC. One wonders who he truly worked for during the elections. |
https://www.nairaland.com/6643420/terrible-experience-onitsha-motor-park Sometimes I don’t know the issue some of you have with Peter Obi? Up there is a link to the experience of a Nairalander in Upper Iweka, Onitsha. It made front page some months back. That same exact thing has happened to me too. God knows it’s true. I brought that back to give you a clue of what Upper Iweka still is in 2021. When you get that clue, you would imagine what it was like around 2009 when Peter Obi came in as governor. WHY THIS PIECE? This piece became necessary because it seems some opposition propagandists who don’t seem to have anything on Peter Obi( well until their Political Pandora Palaver) have always been bent on trying to pin the activities of SARS as led by James Nwafor during Obi’s reign on Peter Obi as the chief mastermind. Every effort to talk sense into these paid propagandists has consistently fallen on deaf ears. But to better understand what we are talking about, a brief background of what used to happen in Onitsha is imperative. BRIEF BACKGROUND OF UPPER IWEKA NOTORIETY Sometimes around 2005/2006, the then governor of Anambra state, Dr Chinwoke Mbadinuju, invited an illegal and notorious vigilante called the Bakassi Boys who came to Onitsha, especially Upper Iweka, and engaged in extrajudicial killings in a bid to restore some sanity to Upper Iweka in particular and Onitsha in general. That’s how bad Upper Iweka was. The security agencies became helpless as the police joined in colluding with criminals who would always bring daily returns to them. In the early 2000s, anyone traveling to and from the Southeast always dreaded Upper Iweka. If you cross Upper Iweka without being robbed, then your journey is successful already. Accidents were less dreaded. So the Bakassi Boys came and tried to restore some order and reduce the criminals. But their efforts didn’t quite last a long time as the criminals immediately regrouped after the Bakassi Boys were disbanded. Now, when Peter Obi became governor, one of the things he knew he had to tackle was security and Upper Iweka was a priority. Not wanting to go the way of Chinwoke Mbadinuju by empowering illegal vigilantes to slaughter people, Peter Obi enlisted the services of the Special Anti Robbery Squad(SARS) to help clear Upper Iweka of various nefarious elements that has made that place their abode. And just like what is happening in the fight against insecurity in the present day Nigeria where the govt is trying to apply both Kinetic and Non-Kinetic approach to the fight, the Obi govt extended olive branches to the criminals to surrender but most of them rebuffed it. That was when James Nwafor and his boys got to work and started arresting some known leaders of gangs and their boys some of whom tried to be violent but were subdued by equal and proportional violence. The intention was Lafiya Dole( Peace by Force) for those who thought they were beyond being brought to book. Now why would anyone criticize Obi for the approaches he took towards restoring order to Upper Iweka? You talk about extrajudicial killings by SARS? Well, just like every Nigerian process, it was abused; just like Obi possibly didn’t expressly order anyone’s killing. But if you criticize Obi for what he did in Onitsha, then you must criticize the FG for disconnecting Telecommunications Network in some parts of Zamfara, Sokoto and Katsina and ordering shoot at sight of notorious bandits who have refused every govt overtures at making them drop arms. You must criticize the formation of Amotekun who sometimes shoot at sight, killer herdsmen in the southwest, without trials. The truth is that if Nigeria is serious about unity, then it must enthrone equity and fairness. And if equity and fairness is to be enthroned, then 2023 is the turn of the southeast. And if 2023 is the turn of the Southeast, then Obi is one of the best out of the Southeast. Propagandists should rest with their many propaganda campaigns against Obi. We will open the Pandora box another time. Fergie001 Sapientia Fahdiga Princeoflagos Chatinent Smellysperm Dubailandlord Helinues Bkayy Nwanyiogwashi |
NobleRace:https://www.nairaland.com/6643420/terrible-experience-onitsha-motor-park That is a link to a post that made the front page of Nairaland earlier this year. You can begin your research from there. If such a thing is still happening in 2021, that should give you a glimpse of what it was like around 2009 when Peter Obi came in. |
humility33:Thank you for being a pan Nigerian devoid of tribalism. I’m Igbo but I hold people like Osinbajo, Fashola and Ambode in high esteem because I think they are men who have demonstrated capacity. I only seem to be projecting Obi because if we are serious about the unity of this country then we should enthrone equity and fairness. And if we are talking about equity and fairness, then 2023 is unquestionably the turn of the Southeast. And Obi is one of the best out of the Southeast. |
humility33:It’s in their gene. They extol theirs and denigrate others. Our job here is to never let them succeed with their malicious propaganda |
NobleRace:Fine. I guess now you have the information you sought, you will never accuse Obi of complicity in what happened to the bodies in Ezu River. |
BlueBlackPackag:Wait, that Ayu is a bigger figure than David Mark? |
NobleRace:Have you ever been to Upper Iweka in Onitsha? Is the story of what goes on there new to you? Chinwoke Mbadinuju even had to go extra mile to invite a vigilante in the name of Bakassi Boys to engage in extrajudicial killing in Onitsha just to restore some sense of sanity. When Obi came, the notoriety of Upper Iweka was still high and instead of engaging vigilantes, he engaged SARS who now possibly engaged in some extrajudicial killings. If you blame Obi for the death of notorious criminals in Onitsha without trial, then you should also blame the Federal Government for disconnecting Telecommunications Services in Zamfara and shooting Bandits dead at sight without arresting them for trial. How do you lots reason? |
ORIAYO70:I understand. Reason I don’t usually join the bandwagon in criticizing him sha |
spinojay:I get it now. I learnt he’s interested in the BOT chair position. But he should understand that he can’t have it since a northerner is becoming party chairmanship position. He should have come to help stabilize the party. |
helinues:E no concern you... Why not focus on your Tinubu? What’s your business if PDP presents the chairman of Miyetti Allah? |
haffaze777:PDP had two candidates in Ogun; the late notorious Senator and the candidate of the other faction. Who was he? |
What happened to David Mark? Or is Iyorchia Ayu not also a Christian? PDP governors should work to install David Mark. The man is a colossus himself and being from Benue, he might likely not try to perpetuate any northern agenda by trying to make a northerner emerge as presidential candidate. PDP should not make any mistakes. |
Osinbajo don dey show himself small small because election period don dey reach abi? This is somebody we were never used to hearing from; sometimes he could disappear for a year without saying pim even when Jihadists were slaughtering and trying to wipe out Christian Communities in the north. All of a sudden Osinbajo has found his voice... always in the news. Well sha, sentiments apart, Osinbajo is a better presidential material than Tinubu and Fayemi. The only southwesterner I could rate over him is Fashola. So I don’t mind him becoming president. If in 2023, PDP presents Obi and APC presents Osinbajo, then it shall have been our best election circle because wherever the votes go, we will be having a good president. Though Obi is better. |
We are too loud to be intimidated! Before you can hold on to Chiwetalu Agu, you must first arrest Gumi. Before you can declare state of emergency in Anambra, you must have first done the same in all Northwestern states. Ndi Ala! |
Buhari keeps appointing Northerners into every Oil Sector Parastatals. Oil that is in the South o! Meanwhile zombies are here more interested in drawing Igbo territories into Ijaw map than demanding what is due to them. |
My own is that that word “manual” should be expunged from the Electoral Act entirely. Before INEC will use Electronic Transmission in the South and Manual Transmission in the north which will allow them put in fictitious numbers. Again, Senate has no business how Political Parties nominate their candidates. Making a law that every party must use Direct Primaries just makes them horrible interlopers. |
Where is Tinubu’s walking stick ? |
Basheer22:So you accept Bayelsa is Igboland? And Bayelsa oil, Igbo oil? |
Maxymilliano:So what is stopping you guys from queuing up behind Ladi Adebutu? |
