Because they’ve seen states moving to start collecting VAT, they are throwing this rubbish as a bargaining chip.

Very lame move by aboki AGF.

Do what you wanna, head slammers who are destroying thousands of crates of beer in Kano will no longer benefit from VAT generated from alcohol in Lagos or any Southern state.

You will talk to bandits in the language they understand but they keep invading your super camps to loot arms and kill personnels.

Where are those who invaded NDA?

Where is the Major that was kidnapped?

Would the army be this calm if it was 82 Division Enugu that was invaded?

This is why some of us tacitly support IPOB sit at home even though we know it’s hurting businesses.

We know it will get to this point where the political class can no longer bear the shame and they will stop to be saboteurs but make sincere efforts towards the release of MNK.

But zombies, who have pap for brain, can’t see this. They will be here foaming in the mouth as if they care for Southeast.

Abagworo:
All those borrowed clothes are not our tradition. The hat was brought by Portuguese and so was the Etibo and walking stick. We had our own wears which was a type of wrapper won mostly by Chiefs and then the striped hat and coral beads with Elephant tusk or eagle feather. However in the morden times our cultures have been redifined and reinvented in different forms based on Western influence.
I understand your point.

But come to think of it, the Ijaw have come in contact with the Hausa for over hundred years now but none of those were wearing Hausa/Fulani attire.

What this proves is that there’s been some cultural integration between these two people who have many things in common and only divided by political elites and Fulani divide and rule tactics.

Is that not Isiagu I’m seeing?

Those who try so much to divide Igbo and Ijaw ties and brotherhood have a lot of explanation to make.

Because it was supposed to be a traditional and cultural attire day and that man wore that, which means he was representing his culture and tradition.

Maybe there are Igbos in Bayelsa after all!

The jugdment was a historic one. The UK Supreme court gave a judgement that Uber drivers should be classified as workers meaning they are now entitled to minimum wage, holiday pay and protection.
You can do well to publish it here. Maybe Nigerian lawyers will study it and approach the courts too

Now, I’m here wondering why that Ministry keeps getting buffoons as Minister?

Business › Re: Uber And Others Loses Case In Court by Penguin2: 3:02pm On Sep 15, 2021
reality1010:
Recently Uber was taken to court in UK over drivers' welfare and the case was judged in favor of the drivers.
Can this apply to the thousands of Uber drivers in Nigeria? Nigeria with its huge population is a huge and profitable market to Uber and others like it. However, the thousands of drivers who make money for Uber are not well catered for. No protection or welfare like hospital or accident coverage for these drivers. These drivers are being casualized which is against ILO law. Something needs to be done. These our drivers should be protected because lots of families are dependent on them.
We need to speak out especially bringing to public glare drivers who were involved in accidents and attacked by armed robbers or with serious health challenge(s) and have received no help from Uber, Bolt etc.
Let them speak out by sharing their stories.
You haven’t told us the judgment

Instruction??! Who gave you the right to issue instructions?!! Who recognized you with what authority??! Is it because Ndigbo is confused and directionless that thugs and lowlifes now presume to lead and command people??!

Sit at Home from inception was supposed to be voluntary (I am very certain you dullards don't even know what the word means)... Attacking people and businesses changes the narrative... It truly underscores you as terrorists!
I know that IPOB’s many sit-at-homes is becoming unreasonable and it’s hurting businesses and the economy of the Southeast.

But which responsible business owner would want to test the resolve of a hostile group with his business?

Banks shut their doors, big shopping malls with perishables shut their doors too, not because they support IPOB but they know their business can be hurt. But this bakery owner was the wisest.

Isn’t that irresponsibility on the part of the business owner who was forewarned but refused to be forearmed?
Politics › Re: Sit-At-Home: IPOB Looted Bread Van In Enugu & Set It On Fire by Penguin2: 10:42am On Sep 15, 2021
Reptyle:
When I read statements like this, it just makes me feel that most Igbos do not have a problem with oppression if it is being perpetrated by fellow Igbos.

Is this the sort of repressive administration that IPOB wants to run in the Southeast? An administration that legislates people's freedom of movement and robs them of their rights to freely determine what they would like to do? If that is the case, why do they have a problem with being a part of Nigeria then? Or is it no longer oppression when an Igbo oppresses a fellow Igbo? Would you be this pragmatic if the bread seller was attacked by people from another tribe?
Let’s get what we want first and see if Igbos won’t rise against IPOB if they ever run a repressive govt.

There are prices that must be paid for what you want in life and this is one of it.

If the economy of the Southeast continues to bleed like this, the governors and political class who prioritize their personal ambitions over the good of the Igbo nation would be forced to retrace their steps.

If anything, the rest of the country now knows that the political class have lost control of the people.

The too many sit-at-homes is becoming annoying, I admit, but if that is it, then let that be it.

Your death and business destruction is next no matter where you are, same thing fulani herdsmen are doing and u all cry, is same thing these ones are doing
“To be forewarned is to be forearmed”. Have you heard that before?

A secular was distributed informing everyone of the sit at home.

Owners of businesses that are worth billions did not open. They respected themselves but the bakery owner who knows that a little mishap can hurt his business and capital, sent his driver to deliver breads.

Now this has happened and you are cursing me. If thou art my God, then let the curse happen, but if it be that thou art not responsible for even a strand of hair on my body, may the curse you laid on me today return to you and your family a thousand fold. May the hands and fingers you used to type a curse at me, when you had other options of how to react, be paralyzed.

For cursing me without a cause, I cause you from this day and forever until you die a miserable death.

Politics › Re: Breaking: Dokpesi, Duke, 3 Others Join PDP Board Of Trustees by Penguin2: 9:00am On Sep 15, 2021
Why reward Duke, who just returned yesterday, with appointment into the Board of Trustees?

There are people who have been loyal to the party all along that Duke was prostituting in different parties; they are deserving of such appointment than Duke.

PDP needs to learn to reward loyalty. Which is why I liked the fact that Eyitatyo Jegede got Ondo PDP ticket over the former Deputy Governor who defected few days to the governorship.

It is the reason I am not drawn to the candidacy of Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola as PDP chairman after his sojourn in different parties.

I would prefer a Jimi Agbaje Chairmanship over that old junketeer.
