Not a football enthusiast, never been. Human bone breaking so easily in a football tackle calls for investigation into possible steroid abuse. Yep. Anyone is free to quote me.

Beaf:
Rubbish! Jonathan must quickly build his base and SACK, SACK, SACK!
Dambazau and quite a few others must go.
If Jonathan does that, he wont last a week on that seat and he knows it. He is not a revolutionary and he doesn't want to rock the boat. Revolutionaries frequently encounter Badluck and he wouldnt have been acting president today. He could not even sack Aondoakaa that 99.99% of Nigerians wanted sacked and executed.

The Op seem to have touched on a rather sore point in respect of this wide conduit matter.

I hope you survive this dedicated onslaught from this dozen or so NL babes. There are things you just dont say even as an anonymous poster on NL.

Yaradua has arrived but taken to a Clinic!! Is this a prelude to declaring the man dead?
Politics › Re: Yar'adua Returns To Nigeria: Condition Unknown by Pennywise(m): 12:23pm On Feb 24, 2010
Akaraiwe:
I hope Yaradua knows he is human,he can fall sick and shouldnt be ashamed of letting the country know,he is now a National property and not just Turai's husband alone.  Why everyone feels so bad is the way issues concerning his health were handled with extreme secrecy, haba its tax payers money na!. I wish him quick recovery so he can come and serve his remaining term and then like Ben Bruce said "We will kick him out of office with our votes".    angry
Yaradua strike me as a humble man with little ambition. If he is well enough to speak or decide he will simply resign and go take care of his health. Unfortunately he is not.

His handlers and Turai are the enemies. They were not voted by the Nigerian people but they want to keep ruling like they have done for three months by manipulating information regarding a president's health.
Politics › Re: Yar'adua Returns To Nigeria: Condition Unknown by Pennywise(m): 12:15pm On Feb 24, 2010
Now that our president is back. Its about time we start shopping for another country should his condition show signs of worsening. The Saudis have certainly had enough of us.

it would be my pleasure to attend my ex wedding most especially if i have shagged her before,

She is free to attend mine grin grin grin
Look. A babe is not ur ex unless you have shagged her at least 10 times. I will soon tell you abt the magic in that number.
Romance › Re: Would You Attend An Ex's Wedding? by Pennywise(m): 3:16pm On Feb 08, 2010
I have attended a couple. I was actually beginning to enjoy taking the back seat at these events. Although on one occasion I was dragged to the forefront by an appreciative family member.

The last one however was not a good (non)experience. The relationship had been moribund for a few years rather than invite me she chose to invite someone close to me that way I will know she was getting married. I always tot I was nice to that girl. So wherever u are I still love you. Even though intimacy with you was always terrible.

Na lie. na intimacy I talk o not be intimacy. Seun, no put word for my mouth.
Properties › Re: How Do We Get Rid Of Dubious Agents On Nairaland? Advise Needed by Pennywise(m): 5:43pm On Feb 03, 2010
I find that it is only Nigerian property vendors who think its convenient or is it expedient to deal in secret. What stops them from doing what has become a worldwide norm- show the pics of what you are swelling!!! A simple picture will help to prevent fraud in property sales in more ways than you can imagine. It helps both genuine sellers and buyers. Realtors all over europe and america do that. Even with our next door neighbor Ghana, it is standard practice.

If the concern is that extraneous third parties may throw in spanner in the works on account of (un)proven interests, the best time for issues like that to be dealt with is when ownership is changing hands.

Selling a house is not much different from selling a used car. Let photographs and GPS illustrations take the place of VIN numbers on NL.
Romance › Re: Is this guy really cheap or what? by Pennywise(m): 1:45pm On Feb 02, 2010
There is this guy who is really interested in me,but sometimes he'd say things that make him sound and look cheap. He took me to a pound shop once and he talked about how he likes it there becos that is where you can get your cheap things. Then he told me why he doesn't  buy chinese food because it's so bloody expensive, but it's just about £5 a plate. I hate when guys start appearing to be cheap. I'm not after a man's pocket but him telling me all this makes me uncomfortable and makes me feel that he is cheap, and not capable for a date.wat do you think?
He is not 'date capable' doesnt mean he is not 'marriage able'.

And it does call to question what exactly it is you girls want. If on the other hand the guy is really happy and feels like spending good money on his date you will say he is loud and 'flaunty'. Go with the flow and see what your new relationship has to offer. Too early to play judge.

About time EFCC is made a dept of the Nigeria Police -that way they can all wear the same uniform. This present demarcation serves no useful purpose. Infact it is deceptive since the work ethic/code and modus operandi are the same. Same Nigerians.

It is note worthy that this matter has been concealed from the media for 7 months. EFCC indeed.

If she leaves you, it wont be b/c of seun or NL. It appears she is quite intense-an extreme babe if you like.I have dated a few myself. Her emotional outburst could have arisen as a result of other issues she is passionate abt.And you find urself unable to cope.

The only way you get along with a girl like this is by drawing the line and giving her direction. You have to be firm.Keep her on a very short leach. And she will love and respect you. Unfortunately I dont see you as being capable of doing this. You think its love but you are actually very weak and inadequate. You lack what it takes to befriend a girl like this. My advice? Let her go. Get yourself a yes-girl.

Its a good thing he has revealed himself though. If the truth must be told, every single Nigerian was diminished in reckoning by that disastrous interview of a foreign minister. If he has any insight at all he will make himself unavailable for a while. Unfortunately he doesnt have any insight.

Politics › Re: ? by Pennywise(m): 1:36pm On Jan 20, 2010
The problem with Nigerians is that we we have either failed or refused to understand this neighbor. Most Nigerians know zilch abt Ghana (pennywise no exception-but I do know they have beautiful women). Yet understanding that country and why things work there will enable us understand why things are the way they are in Nigeria.

Ghana has a moslem north and a christian south but you dont have the recurrent org.y of violence Nigerian northerners are notorious for. Infact the influence of the moslem north is largely imperceptible in Ghana polity. Ghana demographically is identical to Nigerian Christian south. Can we then say the North is responsible for our plight as a nation?
Properties › Re: Bungalow vs Duplex: Which Is Better? by Pennywise(m): 3:18pm On Jan 19, 2010
johnie:
How is a duplex more secure?
There are still neighborhoods in naija where all the thief needs to do is point his gun through the window.

Besides it is easier to see what goes on within and without the perimeter of ur property when you live in a duplex.

There have been cases where robbers come in through the roof of a bungalow.

Finally you can make target practice of prospective robbers and pluck them at ur convenience from a duplex.
Properties › Re: Bungalow vs Duplex: Which Is Better? by Pennywise(m): 2:58pm On Jan 19, 2010
A bungalow does not even come close to a duplex in terms of advantages if money is not at issue.

If the owner is physically challenged on account of ill-health or old age, then maybe a bungalow may be prefered.

Otherwise a duplex is easier to secure and defend (this takes precedence over all else if you live in Nigeria), its more prestigious (by far). Secondly, there can be no better tribute (in your old age) to the life you 've lived than a decent duplex-the bigger it is the better. And in terms of aesthetics, I prefer "vertical emphasis".
Car Talk › Re: My Nissan Armada Gear Has Problem: New or Tokunbo which is better by Pennywise(m): 2:11pm On Jan 17, 2010
Here is my own expert advise taking due consideration of the Nigerian situation and years of  dealing with gear boxes in general and SUV gear box in particular- Go replace the damn gear box. Or this bad dream you have will soon turn to a major nightmare.

In addition you can take note of siena's statement
Siena:
If the complete transmission is replaced, please make sure your mechanic does not use the old torque converter! If there is any debris in there, it will transfer to the new transmission, and result in untimely failure.
Good luck.
Romance › Re: Help! She Gets Angry Easily. by Pennywise(m): 1:20pm On Jan 17, 2010
This is a case of misplaced pride and lack of proper grooming-read home training. I say show her the door or else she will cause you (and herself) a lot of misery.

Although there are some girly-men (apology schwarzeneger) who can accommodate but by complaining, clearly you aint one of them. Show her the door. Perhaps when a couple of other dudes do the same thing she will learn how to behave.

I mean this is the worst kind of behavior a babe can have. She can nag, be demanding etc but let her take her sulking elsewhere.
Car Talk › Re: What Kind Of Car Can One Get For, Say, 250-300k by Pennywise(m): 2:15pm On Jan 15, 2010
OP
At 300k, your best option is a used v-booth. Either take the one on offer or scout around for the best your money can buy.A lot of pple give up cars not necessarily because they are bad but b/c their status demand they upgrade the vehicle they use. That is where you get lucky.

There is a lot of used v-booth without a dent that can go for that price. With a v-booth you can even drag for a parking space when invited by ur in-laws to an occasion. What's more. Parts are everywhere. Toyotas are over-priced. One going for 300k may be too microscopic, too old and might do harm to your image and perception.
Romance › Re: How Much Must A Man Have To Be Ready For Marriage? by Pennywise(m): 11:29am On Jan 14, 2010
Incredible. This thread I considered one of the stupidest on NL in recent times has chalked up an unbelievable 8 pages. What possibly can everybody be talking about and what is the key word drawing all the attention. Marriage? Nansense.

This is clear evidence that NL is undergoing strangulation. Let us have some more of those snazzy topics. Stop banning topics and pple. Now one is left with improperly concieved, undigested and constipating headings. We want a more liberal forum.

freecocoa:
I don't encourage wife battering but seriously some women need beating b4 they behave well, some even hit first.but a man who just hits at the slightest provocation needs to see a therapist.
Wife battering? Sometimes the men are worse off after these encounters. What do you call that? May be it is better to see it as a fight between couple rather than battering. Besides emotional wounds that women inflict so easily can hurt deeper than physical wounds.
Romance › Re: Beating Up A Woman In The Name Of Marriage by Pennywise(m): 2:00pm On Jan 13, 2010
No rational man will beat up a woman. Although you may have mitigating circumstances like when the woman thinks she is a man and actually begins to behave like one.

Romance › Re: How Much Must A Man Have To Be Ready For Marriage? by Pennywise(m): 1:13pm On Jan 13, 2010
@OP
Do you mean being ready for marriage as an event or marriage as a status?

As an event, N350k can still buy you sth good certainly not great.

As a status, you need nothing really. Una just dey manage unaself dey go provided there is love.
