PoliticsRe: Amigo Supermarket Owners Sues FG For N50bn For Unlawful Detention by Pennywise(m):
It seems to me that these Lebanese still do not understand the gravity of the charge against them. They think its an offence for which mere legal gymnastics can set them free. This was unthinkable in pre-PDP Nigeria where state security was a serious matter.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Do You Go To Church? by Pennywise(m): 4:15pm On Jun 09, 2013
1.It makes sense in this environment to go to church rather than mosque or synagogue.
2.Your presence in church is a valued contribution to an important social support system we have. You never know when you are going to die or lose a loved one.
3.If you are lucky to have a good pastor, you may find his preaching helpful in trying situations whether in business or family.
4.Good and lasting friendships and business contacts have been known to originate in the church.
5.Some people are never comfortable until they voice their problems to a listening ear. In a world where you are never really sure who your true friends are, it makes sense to trust the clergy.
PoliticsRe: Is Sincere9igerian Beaf Reborn? by Pennywise(m): 3:51pm On Jun 09, 2013
Beaf showed a bit of class and you could see the occasional hint of logic in his argument. But Sincerenigerian lacks class and he comes across as a very dull individual. He is actually doing more harm to the image of Jonathan on this forum.
FamilyRe: Woman Blames PMS For Beating-up Her Husband In The UK by Pennywise(m): 6:33pm On Jun 06, 2013
This brother had better flee from this nut-case. She will stab him in his sleep and plead PMS.

Kreamie: Even Tuface idibia didn't flaunt his wealth this much before he was attacked by robbers...this dude shouldn't put himself and his family into unnecessary jeopardy! *FUUUUUUULLLLLLL
Rubbish. Every home in Nigeria of the type I see in that pix has it. A fact known even to robbers. Really nothing special. The man is flaunting nothing. He is only projecting a fun image he wants all to see.

From what I read, Tuface was attacked on the road.

The sound of that thing could kill some pple on NL. It is loud.
CareerRe: I'm Considering Leaving Medicine - Please Advise by Pennywise(m): 6:53am On Jun 06, 2013
Anonymous and bigboss both of u have apathy to succed bc u lack drive.

What do u need MPH for? A better salaried job? What stops you from understudying your dad and current trends in medical practice with a view to raising their clinic to the level of hospital conglomerates seen in India. The biggest hospitals in Nigeria today are non-starters in earning potentials compared to asian hospitals. Some are richer than our banks.

Even if u chose to leave medicine, this apathy will follow u wherever u go after the initial excitement. Nothing is wrong with trying to beat ur own path. U will see along d way guys who are 10 times smarter and 20 times more hardworking who havve not been able to make any head way.

Success in life is not always abt abilities sometimes its providence and good fortune. Ur dads were fortunate they had it. And it might take a few generations bf ur families get it.

My advice to u is that be smart and take advantage of what u have.

PoliticsRe: US Offers $23m For Boko-Haram Leader, Shekau, 4 Others by Pennywise(m): 5:54am On Jun 04, 2013
The Nigerian Govt should give this announcement as much publicity as possible in hausa language even though i believe Shekau is hiding down south.

Not knowing who to trust will push him further into hiding and away from his followers further weakening their command and control.

The US offer will not recruit new financial sympathizers bc the world terror franchise is a close knit one with headquaters in North Africa and d middle east. It will only place all funds and donors to Boko Haram under further scrutiny a fact which donors now have to take seriously.

Nigeria's fight against islamic terror just had a big boost. It is either d Jonathan govt take advantage of it or treat it like all else.
PoliticsRe: Foreign Investors Pour Into Nigeria As Economy Accelerates (Updates) by Pennywise(m): 9:24pm On Jun 02, 2013
This is nothing more than a bunch of stories meant to titilate or possibly to dupe the unwary into thinkiing sth is going on. It has to be some other Nigeria and not the one I live in where insecurity is driving all insane.

If we have a truly competent govt which pays attention to the rule of law all these wishful thinking can actually become reality and there wont be need to sponsor write up disseminating falsehood.

I wont be surprised if the NSE somehow has a hand in this.
FamilyRe: Married Women In The House Your Opinion Is Needed!!! by Pennywise(m): 4:43pm On May 29, 2013
sexymoma: As a married woman, would you let your best friend come and spend the night at your matrimonial home " just like old times"?
You are afraid, your friend might steal your man. Completely absurd.

Dikwa careful. If I were u, I would have sent an anonymous email to a TV station in my state.
What if the owner doesnt live in 'my state' or is out of the local TV coverage area?

PoliticsRe: NFF Vice-President Arrested For Money Laundering by Pennywise(m): 9:42am On May 29, 2013
I am sure Nigerians would like to see Ibrahim Lamorde's EFCC report card.

Making arrests without diligent prosecution. This pattern has become all too familiar. It seems the EFCC men are only interested in a piece of their own 'action'. The 'settlement phenomenon' some might say.
PoliticsRe: How Would OBJ Have Handled Amaechi by Pennywise(m): 5:13pm On May 28, 2013
That in a nutshell is why Nigeria fails, why do we even have governors if the president is more or less a king, he should just title himself as such and let us abolish this faux federal republic.
Well you are right. Nigeria is a country founded and fueled by fraud. We have no value system and no real structures. When you throw in an incompetent, clueless and confused president (we have never seen this before) it changes the whole equation.
PoliticsRe: How Would OBJ Have Handled Amaechi by Pennywise(m): 4:56pm On May 28, 2013
EFCC and the army exist to enforce Nigerias laws and safe guard the well being of the nation and its people not punish people who disobey PDP.
Who is this person and where is he from? Are you going to tell us who we are as Nigerians or what a Nigerian president can or cannot do?

Or you are just an idealistic kid looking for something to debate?
PoliticsRe: How Would OBJ Have Handled Amaechi by Pennywise(m): 4:41pm On May 28, 2013
OBJ could have done anything from sending EFCC after Amaechi or the Army to River's State Govt House to remove the Governor.

But all that bravado fizzles if the subject is a Northerner for whom Obasanjo has a morbid, inexplicable and sometimes embarrassing fear. In short, Obj is a coward.

PoliticsRe: Nyako Vows To Sue Jonathan Over Funding For State Of Emergency by Pennywise(m): 5:27am On May 28, 2013
The bearded mallam has a more urgent personal concern. He needs money to maintain his forever growing harem. His famous cattle ranch is just a ruse. Federal allocation must be on time and complete. It doesnt matter if the state burns.
PoliticsRe: Sheikh Gumi To Boko-Haram - You Cannot Break-Up Nigeria by Pennywise(m): 1:07pm On May 26, 2013
I respect this man Sheik Gumi (perhaps the only sheik about whom I can say that). I am glad he is bold enough to call a spade by its proper name.

PoliticsRe: Ombatse Chief-Priest - Governor Ordered Police To Kill Me by Pennywise(m): 10:07am On May 23, 2013
The role of the Governor in this crisis must be fully investigated. Calls for the fragile old man's arrest is not enough.

And politicians should leave the army out of this matter. If 100 policemen (may God bless their soul)could not arrest him, may be they should try 200.
PoliticsRe: Sanusi To FG: Dont Overspend On Military Operations, by Pennywise(m): 11:11am On May 22, 2013
The stolen police pension fund if recovered is enough to prosecute this war against Boko Haram.

The CBN malam should advice Jonathan's govt on the need for probity and not attempt to cause distraction by raising alarm.

PoliticsRe: Boko-Haram Regroups In The Mountains Of Adamawa by Pennywise(m): 3:09pm On May 21, 2013
emmysenior: In this type of situation, this type of intel is supposed to be classified, I'm sure they will change the meeting venue to forestall further massacre.
The JTF should have quietly took them unawares, and exterminate all of them from the surface of the earth.
Those vultures, blood sucking demon, cows, are threats to human existence.

Kill them all..............!!!!!!!!!!!
Some folks here are trying to give the boko boys undeserved sophistication talking about their ability to process war intel. These guys are not any smarter than their goats and cattle. And the Nigerian military understand them well. For all we know this may be reverse psychology aimed at herding them together on Adamawa mountain range in order to make things easy for the Airforce.
PoliticsRe: 120 Boko-Haram Members Arrested During Burial Of Their Commander by Pennywise(m): 12:55am On May 21, 2013
Don't mind them. Counterinsurgency is not won by dishing out improbable stories. The same people that announced days ago that boko haram are all on the run are now saying 120 gathered in one place! Counter-insurgency is a long-haul operation that can last years and years - Americans went to Afghanistan with bravado and 10 years on they cannot even secure Kabul. These boko haram that they claim have fled to neighbouring countries can continue their activities for a very long time. If this war drags on as seems likely it's the soldiers that will get frustrated and in that state escalate atrocities against innocent civilians, which will further worsen things for them. Military force has its limitations. This conflict can never be resolved by military means alone.
Actually the only solution to BH menace is a vigorous and decisive military campaign. We have had BH by other names in d past and we know what works. Your copy and paste theory from western media cannot apply here. And we did not need 'amnesty'.

Other than the obvious value of eliminating the hardcore elements a large campaign made particularly brutal and vicious will make it impossible for their leaders to recruit new foot soldiers financial inducement or promises of extra terrestrial rewards not withstanding. 4get the occasional headline, who want die? Its a tactic that worked to great effect during the military era. And it is the same pple and the same motivation.

Our soldiers should stop playing 'police'. They were not sent to make arrests. Feeding and catering to the soldiers alone is enuff burden on state resources. This is not the US. We need the money for weapons not to feed terrorists.

CultureRe: How Are You - Is It A Rude Form Of Greeting? by Pennywise(m):
true social etiquette is not lying on your belly like a lizard dude because some punk happened to stick his ugly head from his mum's foof before you. you talk about social etiquette but if someone offers you a handshake and you don't respond, what does that make you? or you think the baale in business meetings smh. please leave your small hamlet wherever it is and go and see the world.

and if you like spit in my face. by the time i scatter your head and leave you drooling and spitting all over the place like an infantile retard, you'll be wondering if 'culture' was really worth it.
This is at the core of what we are talking abt. Improperly trained and poorly educated Nigerian youth who imbibe the haughtiness, arrogance and uncouth language of American inner cities in a desperate bid to 'belong'.

If they are ever lucky to get there they remain outcast bc even in these subcultures civility and deference to contemporaries and seniors are beginning to permeate.

Here, they are already outcast and cant be helped. I have no obligation to be civil to an outcaste. I deal with them as I please. So when I say I will spit in your face, I mean I WILL SPIT IN YOUR FACE. Ai wa be rha wa bi iyuee.
