I suppose the school authorities will now have to be very careful on whom they award pass marks. No use passing a student who cannot pay school fees when there are others waiting cash-in-hand.

1k001: One needs to make a distinction between a personality disorder and a mental illness. The latter is amenable to drug treatment while the former is not, among several other differences.
The diagnosis in mental disorders can be difficult but is key particularly when personality is involved. Some people are just nasty, overly melodramatic, psychopatic etc and we can't just label them all as illnesses.

Not all mental illnesses require drug treatment. Some need psychotherapy, others enviromental manipulation.

I have found on this thread that folks believe the writer is trivializing mental illness bc all she has is a personality disorder.

But a personality disorder that disrupts the capacity or ability of a sufferer to function or threatens the person's life through suicide shld be regarded as a major mental illness.

People should also learn to draw the line betwn transcient reactive depressive state which occurs in bereavement, financial loss or disappointments in relationships or career from a pervading feeling of doom that wont go away and cannot be associated with any of life's usual setback.

Who are the kind of people buying Nigerian stocks with their hard earned money these days? I can understand vested interests trying to stimulate attention in certain stocks through calculated stock purchases. Other than that, that sector of the economy is best ignored.

I get dividends through posts from the shares I hold in UBA and a few other quoted companies but I noticed that these cheques are never delivered until 6mths and above when it is impossible to redeem, but I guess this is all part of the underhand dealings going on at the 'stock Exchange'.

Our country is not worthy of this kind of business. Ensure law and order first, then the Nigerian Stock Exchange will grow naturally. By the way what became of those operators who only a few short years ago manipulated stocks through insider trading and all kinds of sharp practices profiting to the tune of billions of naira? I bet they paid their way out.

I would rather look for a 'reasonably safe' pyramid scheme operated by someone on whom I have some kind of leverage. Thanks but no thanks.

I guess my projection about this guy and how he will be caught was not entirely correct. But it was not entirely wrong either. Sydney for all practical purposes is like any other major US city. He will be lucky to get out in 25yrs. But the good thing is, he most likely will be alive circumventing early death from drug and gang related violence. I hope he takes it well. I have had a few close calls which is why i dont do long distance.

The last was abt 3yrs ago on a 100km stretch of highway. Each time i parked to catch a nap, my eyes would light up like an inferno. No sleep. Yet i had to be on time for a wedding.

He has been asked what is a clear, direct and legitimate question about his earning, rather he chooses to deviate attention. Someone who is transparent will be more forthcoming. A lot in my own opinion is buried in that office that requires the attention of law enforcement and I dont mean Lamido's EFCC that is in perpetually slumber.

Blimey. The state pays for all expenses including feeding, transportation, accommodation infact total logistic requirement for d trip so he can do his job and he still gets to keep 25k. What d hell for? And this is supposed to be an ennobling disclosure of the Cbn gov. Nigerian's will surely like to know more about other routine allowances.

Was this intended to be a comic relief of some kind by the CBN Governor? If that is statutorily allocated what exactly then does he spend? Or does he get this amount whether he actually travels or not?
