maclatunji: The real shame is when people seek to derail threads. That won't be tolerated by me no matter who is involved. As far as I can see, the subject of this thread has not changed. My quarrel is with a pattern of behaviour among certain NL moderators who try to suppress alternative views when confronted with logic or in this case with cold scriptural facts. Its a familiar behaviour over which I have expressed reservations in the past. I like to think that is not what is at play here. |
A nice write-up about an islamic icon makes the front page in record time. Then a lucid, well written, educative even though contrary view point is made in response by an alternative sect believer. The result is that the response gets pulled almost immediately. What a shame. My question: is NL only for sunni moslems? Dont shiites have a right to their own opinion without being suppressed. This is the exact same spirit of intolerance that religion has come to be associated. Obviously there is a sunni moderator on NL who needs to be canned. |
The Nigerian army has not only failed to provide security for its citizens, it has also failed woefully to take advantage of a groundswell of popular resentment and opposition to the insurgency that would have been strategic in its efforts. What kind of officers run the Nigerian army of today? This particular massacre should be investigated with a view to getting somebody or persons within the army to take responsibility. The low morale that this setback will engender among the civilian corp will translate into lost opportunity, empower the insurgents leading to more loss of lives among our troops. May the soul of the dead rest in peace. |
collynzo2: How is the sperm extracted?Fractional distillation. |
The Pastor should own up and move on. No one expects him to wind up a multi-billion naira organization on account of his indiscretion. But he offends good sense of decency by being dismissive when it is clear he actually took advantage or otherwise had an inappropriate relationship with a member. For an unrepentant immoral pastor, no word is too harsh and no cane too strong to use on him. |
Dantedasz: ^She never said she was. And I will not be wasting my time here if pastor Biodun had come out to confess and ask for forgiveness like many of his repentant minions will do. But he hasnt, meaning he is determined to continue in his evil ways. Very few things nauseate me more than an unrepentant and an arrogant pastor. Then again, its a familiar trait among yuppy Nigerian pastors. |
What I really like to know is, did Pastor Biodun use condom in all his sexual encounters with Ese or did he not? If he didnt (men of God can be deeply spiritual in bed and will usually abhor condom), has she gone to see a doctor? I will advice she should cos this pastor has a long, long history of immoral sexual encounters. |
Wishful thinking for idle Nigerians. Who buys sperm in a country of hungry people for $300? |
segzi cres: Oh shiiiit! Oh well, my excuse to avoid going to benin to visit madam.Na lie. U be smuggler. |
Anambra seem to have no shortage of young, fraudulent and sinister fiends who want to be Governor. |
The pastor should shut up. Any attempt at a public defence now will amount to pouring petrol into fire. Even more so when other people from Ilorin have attested to the pastor's rampant infidelity with women, married or not. He should be quiet and remain very still. Ese Walther has proven she is capable even willing to take Pst Biodun and COZA to the cleaners. The persecution plea is good enough for those blindly led by him but for an objective observer of the situation he has hurt a poor girl really deeply. Infact he fvcked up as a pastor, a husband and even as a player. |
This is the lawyer that defended Kenny Martins when he was charged for embezzlement of Police Equipment Fund. I hope the police will be able to rescue him with wooden baton and pepper spray. Abeg wetin be my comment position?
Its incredible that that case could be swept under the carpet so easily despite the obvious culpability of Kenny Martins. But then again, anything was possible in Obasanjo's Nigeria. It was said at the time that Kenny Martins and Obasanjo were related in some way (possibly through marriage). If that is the case Lawyer Ozekhome was merely acting out a script and not necessarily getting a client out of a difficult situation. I hope he makes it out alive. |
Interesting and credible story. Ese Walters did not claim to be a saint. Infact she is far from it as someone who smokes (God knows what) and drinks usually is. And I dont believe she had some kind of momentary spiritual awakening that made her decide on a U-turn when she came back from London. Was she hoping to continue with the affair and the pastor decided it was time to quit like most affairs of this nature because sex was no longer great or she was too radioactive to handle? If the pastor decided to quit, did he make any attempt to provide a soft and comfortable landing for her. At what point exactly did she start hating on the guy. I am convinced the guy hurt her on a deep personal level she has refused to reveal other than her being on a crusader mission to salvage the world. Or is it possible the pastor while drunk in love made promises he failed to keep? Now all of you in this forum who are trying to demonize the poor girl and hold Nigerian pastors to the same level of chastity and spiritual probity as Jesus Christ, you decieve no one. You are the ultimate foools bc the pastors themselves do not claim to be Jesus. Most of them like most ordinary folks go in and out of affairs regularly and of course considering that they are public figures and the nature of work they do, they make headlines easily. This is obviously a pay back matter by an aggrieved lover but I guess we will never get to know the real reason for her grief. |
APC is a party with great prospects. Its undoing will be Buhari's ambition. Buhari must accept that he can never rule Nigeria again. |

This case has homicide written all over it not negligence. |
Some American laws are actually worse than the sharia |
This lone family has been screwi.ng the British a long long time. Interestingly, most appear to be quite happy with it. |
This thread and introspection is necessary so that we all can see how lowly the position of Nigerian first lady has been debased. |
The guy would have been just perfect if he at least had some brain. He is vulgar, flashy and very superficial. Yes he does have a familiar surname spinsters may have found appealing but other than being an aid to Obasanjo he has accomplished naught in his 50yrs or so of existence. He has distinguished himself though by his ability to pollute the public space whenever he opens his mouth. He disappointed all educated young Nigerians seeking opportunity in Govt when all he could do when appointed to authority was scheme on how to steal public funds. Apparently he screwed up as well. His arse still belongs to the EFCC. |

This msg was penned with only the unemployed in mind. Surely no better place to find them in their numbers than NL. Great job. |
So, what is left to eat? Nonsense talk. |
British law and its application actually encourage and promote teenage crime. I wont be surprised to see more of this in future. |
Was he persuaded to give up his gubernatorial ambition or is this a consequence of a more realistic assessment of his chances? |
If this american story is true, then it has to be a 'black pastor' in a church for black people. |
Gbawe: Some Nairalanders make it amply clear why Nigeria is in trouble and why the future may not At the end of the day, ordinary Nigerians are the losers in all this. Wherever your unserious President leads you, the pain, deprivation, insecurity and underdevelopment will be yours and your children to suffer. All Jonathan apologists on this forum (without exception), should be quick to say 'AMEN'. |
When elder statesmen like Akande who ordinarily detest publicity begin to speak this way, the presidency should listen and consider a bit of introspection. The usual act of going to town by its army of highly motivated spokesmen even before understanding the issues is not advisable. |
I dont see why this should cause another NL brawl. People still celebrate Pablo Escobar in Colombia. He has been dead over a decade. |
The i diotic lawmaker would have been suspended the moment his shameful act became public knowledge in a structured (not necessarily developed) country. He disgraced himself, the National Assembly and all his colleagues in particular the one seated directly before him who has to smell the ugly pair of feet and who didnt have the courage and the common sense to call the fooool to order (assuming himself is aware that sth wrong is being done). |
When I read about testicular cancer I couldnt help but think the poor dog did the man a big favor considering he has no use for the testicles anyway. Good intentions are never appreciated in a man's world. What an unlucky dog. Euthanized indeed. We all know they killed the poor dog. |
