sisisioge: Thank you o....they should hear. One would think this present government will invest in real economist as opposed to politicians manning the country economy.
Even if they want us to start enlarging local production, sebi they would have created the means for that before restricting the importation....I can't believe what Buhari did to rice....the guy is unbelievable! Now cassava and other previously locally produced products are mimicking import prices of other foods . Awon werey. Enough of Ribbish....Peter Obi for president o....even though I know Tinubu no go green. The guy na hailing don! If Buhari hadn't done that to rice, Nigeria would have fallen. Learn to look at the bigger picture. When rice was cheap, it was destroying the economy slowly. |

asanausana91: Today local rice is all over nigeria because of the restrictions on foreign rice. How will your local production survive if you are importing everything. Obi is confused. Anyways, what do I expect from a 3rd class student. The average Nigeria don't mind buying rice N1k even though it is slowly killing the economy. All they care about is cheap food. Nigerians are the most myopic people you can see anywhere. |

socialmediaman: It's your gang of political thieves that have refused to invest in local production that are the problem, not the importers. Atiku's generators will not be prospering if the President invests money on stable electricity, and that's why your older thieving politicians are fighting Peter Obi Do you realize that Peter Obi (just like Atiku) is also part of the political gang of thieves that have refused to invest in local production? Peter Obi is one of Nigeria's biggest importer of goods that can easily be produced in Nigeria. |

asanausana91: and this foolish Obi is telling his zombiedients that he will change Nigeria from consumption to production country. Obi is a dangerous terrorist,he is confused. How can you get your country to produce if there are no restrictions on import Actually Obi just confirmed that he's an Igbo agenda. Peter Obi said he'd remove import restrictions. Who are the biggest importers in Nigeria? Do the maths. Peter Obi just wants to be President for only Igbos. |

DanielPat01: Well, Peter Obi will do more if he eventually becomes the president of Nigeria. This I know for sure.
I also want to use the opportunity to pass this message to those who have decided to be #Obidient & #Yusuful to their unborn generation.
While pointing out Tinubu errors we should focus more on Atiku. As the Tally stands now Atiku is one the major contender because most Northerners would rather vote Atiku than vote Obi if they are not voting Tinubu.
I know this for sure as someone that lives in FCT Currently. Atiku got more red flags as Tinubu so I see no reason any sensible person should vote him.
But I will begin with the JAGA JAGA BANDIT first.
The Tinubu some Tribal bigots are supporting have been silent all this while regarding several Fulani herders attack in his region just to clinch the presidential ticket of APC. Not only that, still picked a northern Muslim who hates restructuring with passion.
I actually watched him LIVE on AIT say it and I quote;
"I don't believe in Restructuring, Restructuring my foot, To hell with restructuring." ~ Shettima
Atiku on the other hand deleted his tweet about Deborah death and denied ever being responsible for the tweet all for the presidential ticket of PDP plus possible massive vote from his people. Which I know is going to happen if we don't start giving them reasons why they shouldn't.
Atiku A man that has one of the biggest generator company in Nigeria (Mikano Generators) can't and won't give maximum effort to fixing electricity in Nigeria. That is if he even makes attempt at all. We can't be fooled.
And you tell me this set of people (Atiku & Tinubu) won't dance to the to tone of major Northern cabals and Islamic scholars that believes Nigeria belongs to the North and the North alone.
Funny thing is most Tinubu supporters haven't yet realised that Tinubu is just a placeholder for Shettima. Just in case anything happens.
Shettima carrying out Tinubu duties/responsibilities now is a clear indication that Shettima is a placeholder for him (Tinubu). Shettima A terrorist apologist and sympathizer would be the one ruling us all if APC eventually wins come 2023. Mark this day.
Peter Obi is the only candidate that has been weighed, checked and scanned and haven't been found wanting. Fully tested and trusted. He is not a saint, yes, but the best among all.
"PETER OBI is not desperate to rule Nigerians but desperate to rescue Nigerians." Get the point. His commitment and dedication to Anambra state when he was a governor proofs it all. (A no nonsense man with zero tolerance for corruption).
Vote Peter Gregory Obi for; accountability, speedy execution of government projects, maximum security, and many more. P.O is the only presidential candidate that would release the names of the sponsors of Boko Boys and make sure they are dealt with. Atiku and Tinubu will never do it.
The ball is in your court well meaning Nigerians. If we don't get it right now. We suffer for another 8 years. Move from being on the fence to jumping into Obi bandwagon. You won't regret it.
Vote Wisely Nigerians. Can you see how foolish you are? You said Atiku, the owner of Mikano cannot and would not give maximum effort to solve electricity issue. Then what about Peter Obi that imports virtually almost every consumer goods to Nigeria? Would he give maximum effort to turn Nigeria to a producing Nation. Would he kill his major source of income (importation)? Just yesterday, he's saying he will remove importation restriction. Meaning, he will make it easier to importantly things into the country. So that's the man you wanna support? Even Innocent Chukwuma will be against him for what he just said. |

N3TRAL: A voice note isn't my problem.
My problem is that a presidential candidate wants to remove import restrictions in Nigeria.
Like what the Bleep?
Within 2 months of such stupid policy the dollar reserve in the central bank will be empty.
Millions of employees will lose their jobs.
Even people that produce biscuit will close their factories.
It's scary in this e-commerce era where I can order for 1 million crates of eggs abroad, 200,000 cartons of frozen chicken online, and throw poultry farmers into joblessness.
Nigeria will suffer the worst balance of payment deficit ever known to humanity.
Wow. Just wow! I wonder how people still can't see how empty Peter Obi is. For the first time, Peter Obi didn't tell a lie. He will actually do this thing if he becomes President. Even Innocent Chukwuma will be against him now. |

Roger3D: I thought I was the only one to observe that from his statement. The vast majority of importers in Nigeria are Ibos like him who produce nothing locally but use Nigeria as a dumping ground for substandard Chinese goods to the detriment of our local economy. He's probably echoing the thoughts of his western neo-liberal masters who granted him audience in America yesterday. A vote for Peter Obi is a vote for economic enslavement. I remain DISOBIDIENT. Even Innocent Chukwuma would hate Peter Obi now. |

Racoon: Liberate the gateways. Not the senseless, impactless and useless economic blockades the APC govt placed on the lucrative southern borders with attendant huge economic loss sometime back while the northern fringes were just leeways for terrorists to freely stroll in and do more damages.
Nigeria case is an import and a oil-mono-economy dependent nation because local production are not sufficient enough to meet local consumption demand.
And what did the senseless blockade Buhari government imposed on the borders yielded? Did local production increased or saved Nigeria from the present food inflation and insecurity nationwide especially with the insecurity menace on farmers?
Liberate the economic and provide security first, to encourage local and foreign investors that will boost the process and enhance food production to help us shift from local consumption to export. Actually local production increased. Nigeria is now the biggest producer of rice in Africa. |

ASUU say each of them should be given N1.5 trillion. That's over N73 trillion. By the time you add the share of State University, it will be over N100 trillion. Nigeria 2022 budget is 17 trillion. |

You think police extortion in Nigeria just started like that - It first started with FG's neglect on police Have your read the 2009 agreement that ASUU signed with FG under late Yar Adua? Part of the agreement dwelt on funding of universities where both parties agreed that each federal university should get at least N1.5 trillion while state universities should receive N3.6 million per student. The agreement also had parts that asked the re-negotiation committee to ensure that at least 26 percent of Nigeria’s annual budget was allocated to education, and half of that allocation to universities. Now tell me which FG can grant ASUU that? |

Lemme school you a small part of it. ASUU and FG agreed that FG should give all federal universities N1.5 trillion (remember there were over 40 federal universities in 2009. Today there are 49) and State Universities should be given N3.5 million per students (currently, there are 59 State Universities). FG was also to allocate 28% of the National Budget to Education of which tertiary institutions will take half of the 28%.
