I want to choose Medical Laboratory Technologist on the NOC without evaluating my BSc because of Nigeria delay factor. I intend to evaluate my UK MSc which is not related to the NOC. However, I have work experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist.

Should I go on with the MSc evaluation or do both for me to be able to nominate the NOC?

Ur degree must not be in direct alignment with ur chosen NOC. So evaluate ur MSc. And chose d NOC for medical laboratory technologist which is where ur experience lies.

Please I do like to inquire about these aspects of the application process.

I intend to relocate to US in May since my current job is not sufficient anymore. As I will be staying there for an unforeseeable long time. Although, my CRS score is at the moment at a tentative 380. I intend searching for PNP whilst retaking the IELTS exams.

My questions are:
1. How will I do the post ITA, the police report and medicals and work reference letter since I will be using my work experience in Nigeria.

2. My NOC is type C but the supervisor position is type B. Should I use the NOC code for supervisor instead? Or does any one knows the NOC for Aviation sector

Should I wait to get to the US before applying?

Your suggestions pls.

In response to ur questions

1. Getting a police report in Nigeria from d US is not a big deal. Someone can do it for u in alagbon. For medical, there are designated hospitals in the US(check CIC site). For reference letter, u can collect before leaving Nigeria.

2. Ur second question goes to the root of ur eligibility to apply under EE program. If ur skill level is C, then u can't use d EE program cos it's NOC skill level 0,A&B dat r eligible. Additionally, u can't use Supervisor if u weren't actually one. Be careful of misrepresentation. I ve stated d penalty here before. Rejection plus 5year Ban.

I don't think it will be wise to use a general LOE to cover all issues. So my advice is use a separate LOE for each category u need to upload docs.

I believe it's because Quebec runs its own skilled migration program separate from the federal EE program. Dats my thought though subject to Wat my seniors here think.

Like you rightly noted customer service officer is skill level C and thus not qualified under d EE program. However, if you were a manager or supervisor in customer service, then you can apply under d EE program. So my question is where u a customer service manager or supervisor?

Hello all, please can the money used as pof be returned to the owner after you've made the final submission or it has to be there till PR is gotten?

I don't think you can return it just after u ve made ur submission. The reasons are as follows:

1. CIC will verify at a time u can't tell.

2. There has been cases where just before PPR u get a request for updated statements.

3. There has been cases where at point of entry (upon landing in Canada) the CIC officer will request for it, although this is rare but not impossible and they still ve d right to determine dat u r inadmissible at dat point.

So my advice is to leave it there ooo. Even after u receive the visa. After booking your flight to leave finally, u can print d statements like two days to ur take off date. Then u can return it.

As always, my seniors kindly confirm if dis is d best option.

There's no rule dat u must use a salary account. Just ensure the account u use has activity in it i.e inflows and outflows.

@Bimpsy99...i don't think it's as clear cut as u think. Note that d name on his statement is showing the company's name and not d donor's name. So I will suggest two options:

1. If u are going with ur spouse, transfer d money to her account, then after a while let her transfer the money to any other account owned by u which u will now have to use for ur EE profile. Then write LOE dat it's from ur spouse in support of u guys application.

2. If u are a single applicant, then transfer it to ur parent's or sibling's account and have them transfer it back to another of ur account then do a deed of gift.

What questions were u asked.?

Did they ask for POF? Hw did u show/prove it?

Did u have to carry physical cash?

Did u have to land in the chosen province?

A situation whereby the pof for a family of 4 is 5127963...and one has 5m saved in form of treasury bills... And u have access to 208733pension money after resignation... My question is can i use the pension to balance the difference n use as pof ofcourse with a rsa statement...having in mind dat pension fees comes 4mnths after resignation... Please help me clear this confusion.

In my opinion, ur POF must be unencumbered and readily available to u upon arrival in Canada. Since 25%of ur RSA funds can only be accessed after four month of resignation, u cannot say it is unencumbered and readily available to you.

Pls what are my chances of getting into the pool ? it says I meet the minimum requirements but my application will be reviewed and i will be contacted on their decision. Should I wait on this or what can I do to improve my chances? Does the NOC section really count cos I'm not sure I filled that part well. what's the most important things to look out for.
I'm 30 with a Masters degree and about 8 years work experience.

I suggest u read page 0 and digest it properly before filling your EE profile. As for NOC, u cannot afford to choose a wrong NOC code as u will be denied and banned for 5years if ur experience/reference letter turns out to be inconsistent with the chosen NOC code.

Let me answer the one I can which is no. 3.

Enter the pool with ur spouse (415). If the draws maintains the current trend which I believe it will, u will get ITA. However, worst case scenario wen ur spouse ECA arrives u update ur EE profile to boost ur CRS points. Chickena!

But as for me I would rather land in Canada, be a parasite (govt. approved for that matter), get a job and start contributing to the society dat gave me wen I didn't have. While from 2014- till date i work in the Bank in as a compliance staff.I got married in 2016. Will this be an issue.

I don't think u ve any issue. You are an accountant (chartered for that matter), so there's no misrepresentation.

If I was in ur shoes, I will wait for the next draw since u have 45days to accept ur Ontario NOI. If the draw cut off point increases beyond ur CRS score, then u can consider accepting some NOI.

I just started d whole thing. As in just paid for WES and have 3 transcripts to send. One left d country last week, already paid for others but they are yet to leave d schools. I sat for IELTS 3 weeks ago and d results came out last friday. As a 'jambito', with LSRW-7.5,7,7,7 result, I was thinking dat my score wasn't bad until I saw peeps here blasting d exam. Una 2 sabi here I swear ! Thumbs up guyz!

Now these are my questions:
1) Is it compulsory for my wife to also do IELTS and WES/certificate evaluation? I intend to submit my application as soon as I get my WES evaluation certificate without any plan to make my wife do IELTS and WES. Can I successfully submit my application without her IELTS and WES details?

2) If we eventually beat d cutoff and are invited to apply, will d fact dat she doesn't have IELTS result and WES evaluation affect us?

3) Now dat I have my IELTS certificate and still waiting for my WES evaluation, can I answer 'no' to d question asking if I did credentials evaluation in d last 5 years and submit my application cos choosing d 'yes' option will require putting d certificate details?

What do u think guyz? Pls help with answers to these questions.

@bigbroda....i will try to answer ur questions

1. It is not compulsory for ur spouse to write ielts or get ECA. But u must be able to score 431 (based on last draw) on ur own. However, if u intend getting points for her degrees then u need ECA. Same goes for language ability (ielts).

2. Answer is no. However, if u do succeed and get to Canada and she intends to work, then she will need to do ECA.

3. I suggest you wait til u get ur ECA report before the completing ur cic profile, otherwise u will get 'ineligible' at the end.

Hello house, please do I need letter of reference from present n all previous employers? Or just from employers you are claiming points for?

From the CRS calculator I got 460 points (with a possible 15 points in June for sibling in Canada). Registered wifey for ielts. Can't register mine cos no material to print passport since early March (useless immigration service. Mscheeww). Can't wait to dive into the pool now dat cut off is low. My target is to be out of this country by January 2018 by God's grace.

Hi Gurus, fantastic thread. I have really been educated on the express entry process. However, I have a question I would like clarification on. I intend applying together with my wife. But the thing is, we have not done change of name for her after our marriage. So her docs n intl passport still bears her maiden name. Can we go through the entire process and land in Canada without issues or do we need to do a change of name. Note we have our marriage certificate. Those with similar circumstance that have succeeded should kindly share their experience. Thanks
