Music/Radio › Re: Bullet Blasts Event Organizers For Playing Nigerian Music In Ghana (Video) . by persius555(m): 11:49am On Dec 25, 2016
This is the reason why the ghana music industry will not grow beyond what is a s today. Nigerian music industry became what it is because we listen to music from our ther nations and fuse it with our culture to produce a blend that can be accepted globally.
Once upon a time, Nigerian artists were known to remix songs from other nations, we mocked it but never condemned it. Today, the result is there for all to see. If Ghanaians are forced to listen to only Ghanian music, that will spell doom for their Industry.
Nigerian music is globally accepted because we accepted music from other parts of the world.

bettercreature:
I actually dont know why they want to remove the peg on the 41 items when they are not even selling dollars to the particular ones they did not peg
I submitted FORM M since september till today they are still on it NO DOLLAR
This is one of the reason inflation keep rising, when you buy dollar through middle men from Dubai at the rate of 470 naira you have to make your profit either people like it or not
Manufacturers who need forex to import those 41 items are responsible for this disparity. The govt denies them access which leaves them with an option of buying from the parallel market, while the operators are also exploiting this lacuna. Govt is using scarcity as a tool to force manufacturers to look inwards for a commodity we don't produce.
You spoonfeed the Nigerian population with locally made rice but you cant do that with the manufacturing sector. One of the economic index for evaluating the state of an economy is employment rate. If you stifle the manufacturing sector, you are going to have serious unemployment crises. For a country like ours that has no working social security program in place, the margin between the rich and the poor would continue to widen.

If Kazakhstan and Russia, countries that have similar economic index and crisis origin with nigeria are implementing policies that seem to be working, why are we doing otherwise.
The ban on these essential commodities should be gradually eased as this policy is partially efficient and contributed to lack of confidence in our economy by foreign investors.
By the way, I have never trusted this policies of CBN and emefiele.

Op, now you understand why even your president doesn't trust his citizens. If you do not go back and file a complaint, then you are part of the problem.
As it is, we can be rest assured that more and more Nigerians are going to be scammed in this same manner and we will continue to fast and wish Nigeria becomes America. Smh

Barack Obama accepted the fact that the funding and arming of various opposition rebels in Syria has become counterproductive as large cache of arms meant for the so called rebels were majorly diverted to ISIS.
Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar have promised to continue to arm these rebels while the Americans have instead resulted to funding and arming Kurdish peshmerga forces to defeat ISIS who are the major threat to its European allies.
When will America learn to put an end to endless debacle proxy wars

They are also the problem you are going through. They provided 80% of the technology you are using.
He is right. The west escalated all the crises in the middle east till date. Bush administration initiated the invasion and take over of Saddam's govt in Iraq despite the UN voting against it.
France and England sponsored the Gaddafi take over, shipped majority of Libya s war arsenal to arm what the Americans call moderate rebels, who in actually fact are all sympathetic to the jihad cause.
The problem of senior al Assad started when the amended the Syrian constitution to allow any citizen of Syria irrespective of religion or tribe to rule under a Democratic setting. This ignited hatred for the al assad govt mong the sunni wahabist in syria, Saudi and the entire middle east.
All the groups involved in the Syria war have been found at one time or the other to be supporting anti Western jihadist agenda, except off course the Kurds.
The west are responsible for the crisis in the world.

After seeing this video, how do u convince a young able-bodied Nigerian to join the army. This shit is on the internet for heaven sake. Someone in the presidency should stop playing ignorant. The welfare of our soldiers in the front line is absolutely discouraging.
The army authority should rise up and do something about this. It doesn't portray our military in good light.

Long live Vladimir Putin. He caught the americans unawares. Hacked hilary's email account, emptied the contents, few weeks before the US election. The amercans are sentimental people and Putin capitalised on this. Trump will be forever grateful to him.

Rich people lie to become richer and because they are rich they get away with everything.

Sports › Re: Nigerian AnthonyJoshua vs Wladimir Klitschko Might Be The Biggest Fight Of 2017 by persius555(m): 8:25am On Dec 16, 2016
Pottijef:
Joshua is British not Nigerian grin
He is full blooded Nigerian(mother and father) had his early years in Nigeria before returning to UK.
AJ exhibits a lot of confidence, he is younger, has a formidable right hand. Klitschko on the other hand is older, has a formidable right and left hand combination that has tired out over the years.
Klitschko would expect AJ to be as clumsly as samuel peter, but he is going to receive the shock of his life that will send him to permanent retirement.
AJ has 17 wins, all KOs to his credit, while Klitschko has years of experience with 4 loss and 53 KOs. AJ is way young and fresher while Klitschko is 13 years older. Wladamir Klitschko chose the wrong opponent because AJ hits harder than Tyson Fury

Lies, lies, lies. A nations communication spectrum is like a national asset. This govt should focus on encouraging investors to acquire the spectrum spaces and stay far away from it's operation.
Sell these spectrums at affordable rates and focus on taxing the companies. The end users should be NCCs focus and not how the investors are faring.
Govt has no business in business. Many of these govt officials have stakes in companies acquiring the spectrum frequencies.

Local content is key to checking unfavourable outsourcing trend. Our educational institutions have key roles to play in this regard.vWe generate a lot of data's in our primary, secondary and university schools, but these data's are hosted offshore.
We need to take the war to our schools, keep our data's local by patronising local data centres and digitalising all information coming in from our institute.
Our problem is grassroot oriented but we look at it from the top down and this approach is wrong.

Trump is here to finish what the bush left standing during their administration. In the end it is the average American that loses.

Indians have the worst English accent than the Chinese. This is pure capitalism mixed with disruptive technology. Since our wealthy citizens refuse to invest a fair share of their I'll gotten wealth in productive ventures, this is what a nation of almost 200 million people wlll end up.
The Indians have been invested billions of dollars knowing that a day like this will come and today it is paying off.
What are the rich in his country invest in? Property, luxury cars, chieftaincy titles etc
Very pitiful

Where in the world is this done? Keeping the rates higher will only benefit the existing telcos. The so called new entrants could as well be financed by the existing telecom giants. The senate should look for otherbmeans to generate money away from telecom rates because this will not fly with Nigerians.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by persius555(m): 5:18am On Nov 30, 2016
@bidexii, Nice work on the IED infos. Geographical spread of IED facility will be determined by the point of delivery.
Rigorous stop and search along the routes suspected to be haven for explosives factories will deter or limit BH ability to deliver in their preferred choice of location.
Having multiple chech points around these axis would be a headache to free flow of civil activities but will eventually discourage and frustrate BH sucise attacks.
The hardest and most important task is intense intelligent gathering on how, when and who BH will deliver there next attacks in the larger cities.
A well trained and properly equipped unit within the DSS and police in all the states working with the military intelligence should be tasked with this responsibility.
