Will a Sovereign national conference will solve this
No. What they want is a Islamic state and that they wont get. What baffles me is the inability of the security agencies to put evidences gathered so far to fish out sponsors and financiers.
As it is, we are suppose to believe that sucide bombers are lone wolves who act alone. I dont believe this.

If nigerians can remove ethnic and tribal bigotry from their thinking, a decade from now and we will be the next singapore. We cant even try our own criminals. Its a shame we have to let others do the hatchet job.

Nigerian justice system is a mockery and disgrace to humanity, infact i recommend that all cash and carry judges be shipped out to syria for instance justice, ISIS style.

Nigerians, please we have to be up and pro active. We cant leave security to the security agencies alone. By the way, its our life and theirs that is to be guarded. Lets be more security conscious, every market and shopping mall where we carry out our business, we should ensure we have local security personnels on ground, CCTVs, our nose should beon the ground. Anything to safeguard our lives. Dumping the entire blame on govt will not solve the problem.

it takes extreme measures to kill a fly that perches on the scrotum of a man.

Our nigerian security forces do more than. All these, sorry to say u r just a mere civilian with great ideas of little info on tackling this.

Great job, nice essay. I learnt something @list.
To say the truth, we all knew this time will come. A time when BH will strive to perfect their bombing plan. It requires more of intelligence than just brute force. Terrorists have a mindset that death of humans in hundreds puts fear in man and eventually pleases god. Very scary, right! Who wouldnt be scared. There are four options i would propose, some are kind of extreme, but when u consider the times and souls lost so far, no solution is extreme.

1. Building Bio/DNA database for all residents of NE, most especially bornu. India, UK, Israel have such databases. We can patner with these countries, though expensive.

2.Baiting potential terrorists by setting up phoney intenational terror sponsors
3.Banning and arresting religious extrimist preachers.
4. We cannot work in isolation. Its high time we patner with Egypt, Algeria Libya and other anti terrorist govts in the ME.
Politics › Re: How To Defeat Boko Haram: A Message To Nigerian Security Services by persius555(m): 3:50pm On Sep 23, 2015
Nice write up. In addition, security agencies should take measures to encourage the use of electronic payment and registration by sellers and suppliers of industrial materials and components that are used for assembling of the IEDs.

For instance, fertilizer and ammonium chemicals are commonly used for this purpose. With e-payment and registration, records of payments can be utilised in crime solving in the event of multiple bomb explosions. This should be encouraged in the entire north east, especially maiduguri. There is no perfect solution if not iraq and the rest of ME will be free of terrrorists. Also, my belief is that there are international connections to this. Those who make and plant bombs are doing it for monetary gains i.e there are groups of powerful people or organizations who pay individuals to carry out these attacks for reasons only they know. The international theory should be seriously worked on.

The security agencies are doing their best within their means. The populace should realise that we also have a role to play.

We need to be as security conscious as the security personnels as this is the only way we can bridge the efforts and make the country safer.

Boko haram still have the power to strike, but we have the power to nip their acts in the bud. We all have a role to play. God bless nigeria.

Gone are the days when our soldiers were running away from these bandits.

I hope their descendants will not come back in 50year time, telling us how they were not defeated by NA but by a combined forces of US Seal, M16, Nigerien gendarmes and Cameroonian gendarmes.

cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy
Very laughable. It's funny what the world has become. The international media made a meal of BH exploits when they had the upper hand.

Now, the table has turned and we hardly hear the mediocre foreign media stations record these victories by the able nigeria army for the whole world to see and learn how to defeat terrorism. The solution to african's problem lies with africans and not foreigners. When we learn to tackle our challenges ourselves, only then will we gain the respect of foreign nations.

Its unfortunate that a dying PDP still lives in the politics of the past. The people are yet to recover from PDP's years of colossal destruction of this nation, OP is already dreaming of a PDP comeback.

Please, barcanista let that comeback remain in your dreams. As far as i am concerned, their chances of regaining asorock is tied to PMB's scorecard. So far there is evidence that he will win the people's heart come 2019.

As for saraki, the spoiled brat that he is will not enable him learn humility in politics. Talk of a trojan horse, already infected with a flu virus. What kind of leader employs a fraudster as the MD of his business establishment. A very bad laeder, that is what he is.

At least two of those guys are not dead when the pictures were taken, as seen in the first two photos.
People around there didn't call for ambulances, but stand around to take pics, and watch the victims bleed to death!

They finally get loaded into a pick up van like pieces of trash after they're dead. Such a pity.

What happened to humanity, for goodness sake?!
Humanity lost hope in humans a long time ago.
