Saraki is what he is today because a certain jagaban stood like a lion and defeated a curse of a party like PDP. Remove tinubu from the picture and imagine how long it would have taken to free nigerians from the shackles of political slavery.

Yes, we might not like jagaban's political manouvering, yet we owe him the victory we savour today.

In fact, i heard it in lagos too. Some nigerians can be un-necessarily paranoid. Be that as it may, pls nigerians lets be very security conscious. The security agents cant do it alone. Lets do our bit.
Politics › Re: Heavy Military Presence In Ikorodu by persius555(m): 11:59pm On Oct 10, 2015
Every problem we face in nigeria as a nation can be traced to the corrupt office of the police. Boko haram, oil bunkering etc The police are a disgraceto nigeria. Their activities got out of hand since they created the ministry of police affairs.

ECOTERRORS:
PMB was never prepared for governance, his antics has been a colossal failure that Nigerians are groaning under his ineptitude.

PMB is a Disaster
Dont you think you are passing the judgement too early in the day? Maybe you should reserve your opinion for latter days ahead. My belief is that PMB is showing gratitude for their role in his emergence.
But, believe me, whoever among these men attempts to abuse his office under this administration, they have something else coming their way. All eyes are on them and it wont be as usual, not any more. Lets keep our fingers crossed for now. The litmus test will soon begin.
Politics › Re: How Ghanaian, Kevin Okyere Made Billions In Nigerian's Petroleum Sector by persius555(m): 5:17pm On Oct 09, 2015
You know, nigerians have cultivated a habit of thinking with the heart instead of the brain. A woman ran riot over the oil sector for five years and all we seem to care is to sing her praises, "how she is beautiful" "sexy" "brainy" "cute" and all sorts of annoying words to qualify her.
For heaven sake, this woman is a rogue, lets just use the exact words to qualify her. I dont care if she won a beauty contest among angels. She is a rogue and fraud, thats what she is :@

Xtracoool:
OP nice story. But let me quickly point out that this story cannot be related to the tribal and ethnic divisions in this country.
You see, OP, you simply stopped a good man (The second bike man). That was it, nothing else. I have seen an igbo man turn on a fellow igbo man; a yoruba turn on his tribesman.

It's a touching story tho.
the rich or so called elite have stolen the people's wealth blinding others into irredeemable poverty. Religion or tribal rivalry is not our problem, but the elite who put themselves first before the nation.
Business › Re: Custom Boss Lifts Ban On Rice Import by persius555(m): 4:42pm On Oct 08, 2015
Segadem:
it is u that did not read the news.
pls answer these question faithfully

How many time did u eat local rice this year?
Don't u think the imported rice u have been eating were smuggled in?
Don't u think these smugglers enriched the labouring countries?
Oga Rome was not built in a day, before we can ban foreign rice outrightly ,let our supply out way our demand.
My opinion too. Despite the policy been in place for the last two years, the local farmers havent taken advantage of it to produce in large quantities to challenger imported rice. The local rice(ofada) is a luxury food, you only find in some eateries and they are expensive for the common man.

The federal ministry of agriculture has a lot to do as regards that. Thailand, vietnam, myammar all produce in commercial quantities. Its time we learn the art from them. A population of 170 million is a huge market that cannot be ignored.
Politics › Re: Boko Haram Launches Fresh Attack On Geidam, Yobe Governor’s Home Town by persius555(m): 6:17am On Oct 08, 2015
The security agencies should just come out and tell us they have no clues on the big fish who are financing these terrorists. Until we start apprehending the sponsors home or abroad, this constant BH harassment will continue.

I refuse to believe that the hungry looking traders caught every now and then are solely financially responsible for BH. Behind every terror organisation is a wealthy nation or individuals. Quote me anywhere.

Technology Market › Re: How Do You Setup A Cyber Cafe by persius555(m): 6:41pm On Oct 07, 2015
I use to think the cafe business was dead before now, how wrong i am. With govt agencies like and public institutions like jamb, frsc, vio, lastma, waec, recruiting agencies, nysc, schools, visa application and all putting majority of their services online, many people still throng cafes to get their documents prepared. Op, do a site survey (very, very important) to get the best location for the business.
Politics › Re: Explosions Kill Worshippers In Borno Mosques by persius555(m): 6:17pm On Oct 07, 2015
iwantto:
The problem of the last regime was that Boko Haram was claiming territories. Boko Haram during GEJ era controlled more than 10 Local Government councils. Right now, they don't control any. We are winning the battle no doubt, and this is the reason they are attacking soft targets.

With better intelligence, this last phase will be greatly curbed.
You think many of those criticizing the govt and security dont know these? They are just bent on finding faults in the present govt so as to make it look inept. And BH bombing spree is giving them something to complain about.
These last phase will be the longest and most tasking. Everyone's hand must be on deck.
Politics › Re: Explosions Kill Worshippers In Borno Mosques by persius555(m): 6:09pm On Oct 07, 2015
Nigerians should begin to put security measures in place and not always expect security personnels to be everywhere. We all have our roles to play. It is so even in the US and globally.
Celebrities › Re: I Know I Will Never See My Country Like This- Paul Okoye by persius555(m): 5:56pm On Oct 07, 2015
People sacrificed their lives and time to build a nation like america. Immigrants toiled and worked the fields, laborers builts these cities with decent, low wages, public officers served the public diligently. That is the sacrifice the citizens made. That is sacrifice.

Today, in nigeria, everyone wants a govt job or largesse, so they can have a piece of national cake. Everyone feels they owe nigeria nothing, rather its the other way round. Its not too late, if only we would change our ways and speak well of this nation.

@Op,If you know how much those "legal thieves" collect from drivers everyday, you will be mad at them for not build a skyscraper instead of that "semi bungalow" hotel you are hailing!
the annoying thing is that they add zero value to the place where they make these monies from. Most of their parks are static development wise. Look all over lagos, you hardly find a decent park with decent public facilities. Sometimes i wonder what they do with all the billions they make year in year out.

Op, it seems uniben did a good job drilling its graduate to be confident in the labor market. I am a testimony and i had same experience in a media company in victoria island two years ago. The interviewer tried to outsmart me and i gave him a lecture of his life right before the human resource manager. The guy was really uncomfortable with my presence and that was the end of the job thing.

Some company officials suffer from serious insecurity and inferiority complex. Pls, move on. There are better days ahead.

That would only save the time and date wouldn't be displayed. I need the two.
I am not sure excel was programmed to saved the the 'ss' value along with date(check custom field). I suggest you save your date field in seperate cell and time field in another seperate cell.

samuelson06:
I have a Date/Time format in Microsoft Excel which is "YYYY/MM/DD h:mm." I then changed it to "YYYY/MM/DD h:mm:ss" so that I can have the seconds (ss) displayed but when I "Save As" the file in .CSV extension (Comma delimited), the seconds part are being truncated or cut off leaving the format in the aforementioned format (YYYY/MM/DD h:mm). This is where I got stocked. I have been working in a circle with this problem without success. I need help please. Mr. Seun, please help me put it on frontpage. I know there's someone that can help me out here. Thank you.
To save date and time format, right click on the cell after data has been saved as time, click format cells,go to numbers tab first on top, click time, out of the type listed choose 13:30:55 and your data should be saved in preffered format.
Politics › Re: Ministerial List: Seun Kuti Says He Has Lost Hope On Buhari Administration by persius555(m): 6:07am On Oct 07, 2015
We need such criticisms so that the chosen ministers will sit up and prove their critics wrong.
The president is old but he is wise enough to make a sane start to running a govt with objectivity and purpose.

If seun wants a portfolio, he should prepare himself and stop whnning and complaining.

So far so good, my grudge is with tinubu. How on earth would u forcs a person like ambode on lagosians. That guy looks inept and bereft of ideas.
Politics › Re: Suggest A Portfolio For Babatunde Fashola As A Minister... by persius555(m): 6:43pm On Oct 06, 2015
Our power sector is 20 years behind the rest of the world. We need a technocrat to handle that sector, he seems the only technocrat that i know too well out of the list released.

That position is too key and sensitive to be occupied by a politician many of whom make up the list. Our economic development and transfomation is tied to the power sector like siamese twin.

Fashola for Power! Power!! Power!!!
Politics › Re: Suggest A Portfolio For Babatunde Fashola As A Minister... by persius555(m): 1:15pm On Oct 06, 2015
The ministry of works will work well with any goal getter in charge. That ministry of power require an innovator like fashola. The second phace of his tenure in lagos, he came up with brilliant plans to power some major street infrastructures and public buildings. I can imagine what he would do in the larger picture.

Abeg, minister of power is it.

Senator Godswill Akpabio is currently countering the list. According to him, the constitution states that "Ministers must be selected across the 36 states"
Those who wrote that part of the constitution were looking to create jobs for jobless old politicians. That number is just un-necessary and a waste.
