on what basis did you call the op a liar? did research and found out that they were lies? fyi saudi spent £387 million euros, if you studied that map provided in op with unbiasedness, you will see why the refugees prefer to flee into europe. the story of the 200 mosque is uncomfired!
I dont have to study a map based on OP's comment, image saying majority of thr refugees are christains when most kurds, shias, sunnis, alawites have higher population of muslims. OP's comment that al assad would have been defeated if afghanistan and iraq had not been invaded by america. The truth is, the americans are too blinded by the oil wealth in the ME, that saudi arabia would draw them into a bling arab war that is fundamental and dates way back before america itself was concieved. The europeans know better that is why they have kept their distance from meddling in the affairs of the Middle East, unlike the americans who still see the war from the US-Russio cold war standing point.

The truth is that humanity has made a mess and mockery of religion, the catholic and protestestants started the IRA irish war in ireland, the angolan civil war, the uganda-congo war, the BH-Nigeria war(started like a sharia seeking insurgence, now we know better) the current ME war is of two face, sunni-shia arab and now Al qaeda-ISIS. Truth be told, all these wars have political undertones that are made to look like religious wars. Until the muslim world come to the round table and accept each other as one, there might never be peace.

As it is now, the brits are calling on cameron to give the order for troops to be deployed alongside russia against ISIS, whoever thought this would happen. Only a religious war could bring about this sort of alliance. On a final note, muslim world must learn to be tolerant of each other and others or else i doubt if there would be any mosque standing in the next 50 years.

@true2god, who made the saudis the best of mankind? secondly you have been deluded to believe that the saudis shut their entrances from the refugees, kindly read the article again and consider that map, then we can continue from there.
You and the OP are good liars. Saudi has only donated 15 million pounds as aids to help the syrian refugee crises while britain, america and germany have donated over 1.5billion pounds to this humanitarian cause in last 2 years. Recently, saudi arabis only offered to build 200 mosques for syrian refugees in germany which the germans quickly turned down. For figures on the donations, check out UNHCR for figures. How many times have u seen on al jazeera syrian refugees moving in droves from syria to saudi arabia, while the entire europe has taken in over 500,000 and more still coming. I am not attacking any religion just saying the truth that i see, read and know the way it is.

My thought too. The drug was an experimental drug and they went ahead to test it on humans in africa. GSK must pay nothing less than 50 million pounds for the crime against humanity they have perpetuated against this innocent soul. As from now on, i stay away from GSK manufactured drugs. I dont want to be another man's lab rat. Nigerian govt should take this up.

This is not the first time the military have claimed key victories in the fight against terrorism. I hope they are really re-strategising a few steps ahead of BH. BH has links to Al-Queda and other groups worldwide. they have intelligence and training. it is possible that they will also re-strategize and move into civilian population in small manageable cells of 3-5, blending in and planning far more devastating attacks at the heart of commercial cities like Lagos, Abuja and PH.. these cities are nerve centers of Nigeria..
I can bet u this is what BH would be working very hard to achieve. Citizens and security agencies must be extra high on alert like never before. We need to be steps ahead of BH and its foreign allies.

The security agencies should not rest on their hose, terrorists are experts at hibernating. With good intelligence, their sleeper calls should be carefully tricked into exposing their whereabout. Decoy recruiters should be sent into their midst, phone should be bugged, phoney BH contacts should be established to lure information from hiding members(in IT, its called 'rouge stations'. Decoy isis,al qaeda, taliban links should be established to trick suspicious BH commanders out of their hidings. Partnering with international intelligence communities would also help. Its time we upgrade our intelligence networks.

Why are people behaving as if nigeria is an island on its own. Do your research and u will see that nigeria is not alone in this turmoil. All african economy including angola, south africa, kenya are presently having it tough as a result of staggerimg chinese economy.Ours is peculiar becos our economy has been grossly mismanaged over the years and we are trying to fix this at a time when global economy is quite volatile. We should be more concerned about the calibre of people PMB would bring in to manage the economic portfolio. Till then, i am positive there are better days ahead.
Investment › Re: Financial Markets Suffer After JP Morgan Index Expulsion by persius555(m): 7:16pm On Sep 09, 2015
Govt bond buy back is the new economic slavery tool the west use to control and retrict emerging economies from protecting their economy. JP Morgan was resposible for the rapid sell out of bonds which led to the withdraw of foreign investor funds from the nigeria stock market. This policy was well planned to further deepen our economic crises just when we are implementing policies that check speculator driven liquidity flow. China's stock market crashed just weeks ago and the federal reserve bank in the US had to delay the proposed increase in interest rate at the detriment of its own economy, knowing fully well that a suffering chinese economy could only serve as temporary gain in the dollar strength. If this step had not been taken, the chinese would have resulted to a sell off of US bonds which will affect the growth of its economy. Now, the chinese are thinking of devaluing their currency against the dollar to save their economy from further slowdown. If the chinese are taking these steps to protect their economy and the americans are not complaining, why should they complain when we take similar meaures to save our economy. For all i know, the value of nigerians bond bought by JP Morgan is about 3 billion dollars (25% of total govt bond in foreign possesion), the impact couldnt be that enormous to throw our economy into recession, just a slight impact on the naira value.
Investment › Re: Financial Markets Suffer After JP Morgan Index Expulsion by persius555(m): 5:48pm On Sep 09, 2015
If our economy was export based the shock from JP Morgan exit would have been minimal. My only fear is that our debt repayment rate would be higher now thereby forcing CBN to devalue the naira more against its earlier resolve. All in all we've seen worse and the economy will withstand this shock. I just hope PMB's govt learns from this experience to keep borrowing low so you dont continue issuing govt bonds. For now, we stick to our policies, liquidity will definitely return to the market.

Zombie.
Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand have a trade volume that favors its economy as it is export driven making it more stable for FDI.Liquidity and risk are the factors responsible for the dumpings. If we can get our economy to be at par in terms of trade volume, the same JP morgan that is running today will find its way back.

Making our electricity power supply run in underground tunnels like the GSM networks do for their system....instead of using poles.....would end tragic things like this.It would also make power supply stable....as the wires are now insulated from weather issues/changes in the weather.

Here's an idea I have had for sometime that is small scale and utilizes infrastructures that already exist.

1. The network providers produce an app
2. The youths that utilize smartphones download the app.
3. Upon registration, the phone number is allocated a certain amount of data.
4. The app has the capability to create a hotspot.
5. People connect to the wifi and register to an online database.
6. The owner of the hotspot regulates the user of the hotspot via data allocation at a rate or price he or she determines or
7. The network provider allocates points / rewards to the number of users or rate of usage of data and incentives given.

Thus
1. Increased Internet usage
2. Increased Internet coverage
3. Increased patronage of network provider
4. Increased revenue generation, both for the network provider and the hotspot owner.

And such an app exist but uses PayPal for data payment
Good idea, but wifis have limited reach. For such project, you will need a nationwide or region wide wifi connectivity. This is becos wifis have limited coverage due to the nature of its frequency.

Security agencies should look out for people conveying bomb making materials and chemicals. The nearest and farthest outlets and minefields should be properly monitored and all their inventories including buyers should be well documented for verification.

Secondly, a special team should be assigned the responsibility of starting a manhunt for the bomb makers, as they are key to this terrorist acts. All passengers and baggages should be properly searched before boarding at garage.

Thirdly, get rid of hawkers, especially those who have no relative in the city metropolies but reside in garages and places of worships.

Fourth, every business establishment should be encouraged to install CCTV cameras in their place of business as this is part of corporate social responsibility.

Fifth, know who you employ as your gardener or security guard. God bless nigeria.

Until we start electing leaders who love nigeria with all their heart and are patriotic to a fault like the americans and brits do, we will continue to suffer as a country. God will definitely help Nigeria through PMB.

Africa is unfortunately being led by a host of greedy and selfish people. So sad to see Africa struggling with extreme poverty, diseases and civil wars. Here in Nigeria where we are still having some relative peace, some mofos want to plunge us into another senseless civil war.

Instead of every Nigerian to join hands and support PMB; tribal, religious and extreme political partisanship has blinded a lot of people to the extent they are wishing the man failure. Forgetting that a success by Buhari will be a success for all Nigerians.

Reading this even gave me a sense of pride that Nigeria was not counted among those nations mentioned. Not that I seek the approval of other nations, but sincere unbiased assessment from outside sources can still be relied on for elements of accuracy.
Some nigerians have sold their soul to greed and corruption. They all over nairaland, they never thought this day will come. Once nigeria rises, africa rises. For those who havent gotten over GEJ, visit the nearest psychiatrist hospital for counselling and re-orientation.

The army intelligence need to seriously up their game. BH foot soldiers are roving the border's mountaineous regions, running away from cameroonian forces across the border. We need to deploy men, assets like drones, ATR planes in large numbers. If chad, camerron and niger forces are doing their jobs pursuing terrorists from their country, we should be doubling our efforts on all frontiers as they will look to regroup in nigeria and that is exactly what they are doing. The army should deploy more troops, arm CJTF in all clans till we will rid every corner of nigeria of terrorists.

Am a well dedicated nairalander but I created this new account for this issue. I have been married for 4 years now with 3 children and since the 2nd year of our marriage my husband has been constantly cheating on me.

The way he goes about it is even heartbreaking, he does it like his into a love relationship with them and not just for fun.

There is this particular girl that he calls like 3 times everyday because I check his call log and saw they keep in touch more than twice everyday. I stupidly called the girl and warned her to stay clear off my man and she confessed he didn't tell her he was married, I confronted my hubby and he was forming defensive and was telling me dat am accusing him wrongly and he will soon start cheating. I called the girl back in the evening and she told me that even as am calling that his call is entering her phone, that he called earlier to beg her to give him chance to explain..The next day I left with my children to a far away state and he pleaded that he will change and all that. The issue is that he continued with this shameless behaviour, our live-in nanny later confessed to my cousin last month that he approached her and I was so devastated. He knelt down and begged and I easily forgave him..

Forgive me for my long episode but I really need your help on how to punish him cos I went to his call log yesterday and saw the same girl that made me take the risk to leave with my children to another state calling him again and he is reciprocating the calls..his a very jealous person, he goes crazy when a male friend calls me..I want to make him pass through all the pains I have endured all these years.. What do I do pls?
You really are suffering. Your husband is addicted to womanising and in most cases such men are the most jealous and selfish. Sorry to say, if u cant stand his actions anymore u better start preparing for a life without him around. Hard to say, but his behaviour is already a heath risk to you. Let him know u have been humiliated and u plan to call it quits by the time it becomes unbearable. If u think u love him dearly and want him around the kids then stay and hope he would change. Best of luck.
