PDP did destroy this country, but god will destroy them. |
What if i decide to buy wheel chairs for five phusically challenged. That will make gov fayose a dumb. Must every noble gesture by a governor be used as a publicity stunt? African leaders can be so annoying. |
The last quote "IPOB is different from MASSOB". These are signs of disunity playing itself out. Self determination has consequences. It could be rosy and it could be the other way round. Donestk region of ukraine voted to be part of the new ukraine state after the soviet union break up in the early 90s. Today, twenty five years after, they are fighting the ukraine govt for seperation to become part of the russian nation owing to unequal sharing of power and economic ties. South sudan is another case. The scots know this and voted to remain one with the UK last year. Self determination in the 20th century is not the same as the 19th century. The human reasoning and thirst for power in the midst of dwindling resources has a way of bringing disunity and disloyalty. Let the SE take all these into consideration. Wishing the agitators best of luck. |
tbaba1234:Most of them are more likely to be wearing beards by now to hide their identity. |
Finally, somebody is listening. Modular refineries is the way to go. Lets see the state govt that will refuse to invest in this gold mine. |
DRskyman:the south south want a right to self determination, right to control its resources and not a forced amalgamation with any of the three major tribes. Amalgamation should only be in the agreed terms of the different members of the union. |
ALISMILE:Every region in nigeria has its own fair share of poverty and deprivation, owing to years of corruption and maladministration. I always wonder why the SE have never joined the SS in the realisation of resource control. To think they always refer themselves to be friends and brothers of the niger delta people. |
The south east have a right to self determination. The realities of self determination is like a "bitter pill". The doctor assures you will be cured of all ailment, but doesnt tell you it is bitter tasting and last over a week before total healing and cleansing. |
"Winning the hearts and mind". Nice write up. Its heart warming to see that the IG is also up and doing in tying up its own end of the counter insurgency plan. That phase is very critical as this stage of the fight is where BH would definitely retreat to. Bringing in the DSS, NSCDC and the police to work hand in hand is a wonderful idea. Like i said before, this is the phase that would fully test our security agencies and civil populace ability to waid off security threats. It is going to involve well co-ordinated intelligence gathering and quick response. The enemy will remain invincible but then still very potent to strike. This phase has no time frame as its going to be continous community policing. |
The best she can do is to let us in on who the beneficials of nigeria's crude oil deals under her supervision are. The unborn generation will not forgive her even in death if the looters are allowed to go free. We all die someday. Living should be a legacy. |
The chinese have a saying "Secession/independence has a price. It is not all milk and honey". If the igbos think having a biafran nation of its own is the way forward, then we should wish them best of luck. |
Koolmexxi:We shouldn't blame jonathan and his party, maybe we should thank him for helping us build an economy that can not refine what it produces. I just dont understand some nigerians sense of reasoning. Why is it that we make 19th century technology look like a 25th century technology. Power supply, crude refining, road construction etc |
otokx:Its high time FG start issuing licenses for establishment of modular refineries that can refine as low as 2,000 barrels of crude oil all over the nation. Our state govts should see this as a opportunity to run joint ventures with private refineries as this will help generate more funds for the state IGRs and offcourse generate employment. 413 billion naira is a huge amount of money. This amount could have been used to prop the economy. 100 modular refineries accross the nation will be a huge benefit to the economy. |
For 16 years, the PDP led govt made over 600 billion dollars from crude oil, but it never saw any need to build not even a single 1 billion dollar refinery. As for PMB, we are running out of patients to see your plans to get this nation out of this economic mess. Better start acting fast. |
These criminals work in groups. Bait them, track them and nab them. |
bettercreature:A major chunk of that money should go into revivng the power sector. That sector is too critical to revive the economy. As for MTN, nigeria made you what you are today. Even the south african govt can testify to that. |
We live in a world where LIES are more pleasant to the ears than the TRUTH. This is the road PDP took us for 16 years and see where we are. The same party claims stealing is not corruption. Nigerians, aren't we fed up with the lies and deciet? For the first time, we have a president who will say it as it is not call "red" black. His approach might be too foward, but i think this has to do with his military background. The president is not a politician but a nationalist. |
Its funny how tribal hatred will blind some people to the truth. The VP raised an issue that is so glaring to every citizen of the SE for the past 16 years. One would expect the citizens to ask why these roads were not fixed despite over 500 billion of free petrol dollars made in the past 16 years of PDP administration. Instead, you guys turn a blind eye just because the party that is responsible for this problem governs the SE. Truth be told, the people of the SE have not matured politically. I hope you guys will stone the FG when they start a massive repair and upgrade of these roads. God, please help nigerians to open their eyes so they can see what political and tribal bigotry has caused this nation. When will the SE wake up from its political slumber? |
This is pure ignorance and greed, not poverty. |
Where are all the heavily armed policemen on high powered bikes that we use to see around thebridges during the fashola era. Ambode obviously started on a wrong footing by choosing to expose BRF instead of taking notes and briefings from his prodecessor. |
The perpetuators are most likely to be disgruntled, rusticated students/cultists. Its their own way of avenging their shortlived educational career. But, why cant the students arm themselves with knives and cutlass instead of planks? Just wondering.... |
BBluv2015:Stop mis-informing nairalanders. The president only said there was no such thing as fuel subsidy, he never came out to object the removal. Nigerians, please lets not become alarmists just because oil price is dwindling and we have a dwindling foreign reserve. I believe PMB is about to usher nigeria into a economic eldorado that we have long yearned for. An economy that is to an extent free of incessant looting and stealing. If we can survive 16 years of kleptomaniac looting, we should be able to pull through this one. We should see the drop in oil price as a blessing in disguise as this will force the govt of the day to speed up our race to economic revolution. Oil or no oil, we are about to kickstart an economy that will be the pride of the black race. The govt got off on a right start to a bit slow, but then reality stares us in the face and we will weather the storm. |
Somebody tell me this is not true. |
deeprof123:And you actually think the US cares what religion you belong to? The greatest threat to human existence in the 21st century is the US govt. PMB should tread softly when dealing with this axis of evil. An average american is a easy going capitalist who believes in self reliance and entrepeneral spirit and upholds the freedom of speech, but the american govt and its defence industries have taken its people for a long ride. Its sad what the british empire has become in the last five decades. This unholy friendship with the white house has done more harm tham good to its reputation. I wish the new american fan boy, james cameron would learn from blair's mistakes. "America should stop arming the arabs". |
How on earth did the ekiti people vote this vagabond to be their governor. PMB might be annoyingly slow to roll out a quick recovery agenda for the economy, lets not forget that PDP laid a foundation of poverty, impunity, lawlesness, violence and economic deprivation that the economy is currently wallowing in. So far so good, what exactly has been PDP's contribution to reversing the situation after 16 years of economic destruction. Its amazing that a sitting governor can not marshal a plan to bridge the 1.2 billion naira deficit. Fayose himself is a scam. |
Mathias2015:thanks for the compliment. Most of the jobs in expectant are lagos sites. The above site is for an indigenous oil and gas exploration company. If the green light for the location of a site in PH or warri pops up, i might let you in on it. Thnx. |
As far as nigerians are concerned PDP is a dead and forgone issue. We are eagerly waiting for the emergence of a new and formidabble party that will give APC a run for its money. And for lai mohammed, personally i dislike this guy. Take away Femi fani kayode's dose of heroine and what u would have is a lai mohammed. |
Trojan2010:So you actually think they are trained before unleashing them on the public. Okay, they are mandated to jug around the police college in white short and shirt, with their worn out G3 and AK-47 rifle for a month or so, take target practise three or four shots and thats it. No psychological evaluation of any sort and they unleash them. Ever since these maniacs got their own ministry of police, they have gone haywire with reckless abandon. FG did a mistake by allowing the police have its own ministry. The intent was for administrative purpose, but we know how every good plan in nigeria can quickly backfire. An average nigerian police man thinks without a gun he is less than the ordinary man on the street. |
Either the army lacks the capacity to effectively man the entire NE or BH has information on troop movement and capacity. |
Before the tribal armies of nairaland go haywire, lets just say the truth that our tribal and ethnic differences has made us not to see. NIMASA is the crook in this case. Why allow a training vessel that was bought on your agency's behalf to be siezed by the nigerian navy. Yes, the circumstances upon which it was acquired was controversial, but why rush the bid for another vessel when the siezed vessel can serve the same purpose. NIMASA is another beehive of corruption just like its sister ageny(custom) that PMB must a searchlight on as soon as possible. As for all you tribal and ethnic bigots that turn your eyes away the real issue at hand to turn every issue to a war ring, i want to ask what exactly do you profit from such acts. Your comments are becoming a nuisance on this forum to other nairalanders. If you have nothing meaningful to offer, please just shut up. |
harrysterol:You are ignorant. The prototype those students are working on could eventually be develop into the model you posted. You are one of the lazy nigerians who dont appreciate hardwork and ingenuinty, but want everything at all cost without a sweat. With proper funding and training, these toys could be developed into world class motor bikes in the next five years or there about. Its high time we start believing in our own people and talent. You see a ill constructed motor bike now, but i see a power bike in the future that will compete with any brand in the future. |
Femi fani kayode is simply seeking cheap popularity. Somebody, pls put a leech around his neck before the maniac bites someone. |

Did I hear u say All Subsidies Have To Go? No way, it must remain because when President Jonathan said it, d educated illiterate we have in dis country went on street to riot, went on strike, insulted d president and insisted dt it must stay, so why d sudden change? Nigeria never see anything yet, I dey laugh like Obj. Until we tell ourselves d truth, we remain in d same position. Subsidy must stay. I rest my case.
