Mmamaroon:

Legal adoption by the child's new dad (mum's hubby) may solve this, I think.

The link below covers situations where the other parent is known, I have not seen any info on the scenario you described.

https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1022&top=16

Also see here, they talk about the new dad being married to the mum (or being her common law partner) before the child was born and assisted reproduction but not rape.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/permanent-residence/non-economic-classes/dependent-children.html

Thanks a lot for this

Please house I have a problem at hand. My sister is planning to do express entry. However, her first child is not her husband's biological child. But he bears the husband's name. She doesn't know the father of her child (drugged and raped at 18). The child used to bear her maiden name till she met her husband when the child was a year old. and they got married and the guy asked her to change the boy's name to his since there's no chance of knowing who the child's bio is.

Child is 8, doesnt know back story, and doesn't know his dad isn't is real dad. How will they present this case knowing well that anything can happen (in the likes of DNA tests and all) they dont want to fill in the husband's name as the dad just in case. What do they do??

That's the new development for now. They will check if you have done research methodology and passed it before u can be eligible to submit proposed project topics.

Thanks a lot for your reply. So what do I do now? Do I register my other courses and the carry over course? Cos i heard registration is closong soon.
Does that also mean the project will be till next semester?

Please is there any place they offer cooking classes in Lagos lemme try and see sad

I understand and feel you from one angle. I went to boarding house too. Anytime i went home for holidays, things were done around the House for me as we had three maids.

Then I met a man. He came to our house to ask for my hand. I was just 21! I could not even boil water talk more of making pap. I did not even know how the cooker in our house works. All I could operate was the microwave. Warm my freezer food and eat. What is washing dishes? I hated the kitchen! It was so bad.

I told uncle husband that I cannot marry o. I cannot cook tea. The man was adamant. Married me like that. First 3 months he was cooking and washing dishes. Till one day he fell ill. Okay!
I saw him make Eba and okro few times. He was starving around 10pm. I made garri and water with okro and water. As in, u could count the okro in the water grin and the Eba was like over soaked garri.
After he got well, we would stay in the kitchen together. When he's putting salt, I'll add maggi. Thats how he taught me how to cook. Now who born him near my kitchen? I'm now his master. There's nothing I can't cook, I bake too. My okro soup beat his own 25times over. I'm bad like that. cheesy
So you will get over it with time. I believe so. If I can cook, me?! Then u can.

We were on the same flight with the last tall man in the picture below.

That was in September last year, we landed at JFK. After we got back to Nigeria we saw their video online. It is very sad, that was their final destination. It was planned.

was at newyork waving goodbye to one of them as they took the night bus that fateful day

Really considering agriculture... I got a farm in Nigeria and I hear farming is huge in Canada. I will research on this asap...

Yes it's huge. From the land, machines and all. And also policies. Unlike naija that allows cows roam the streets. grin
I did a little findings,
I'm not sure if it's genuine info but I heard govt can 'lease' land to you for farm use m

Few tips guys
-selling of weaves, attachment, hair products for African hair
-shoe repairer (open a shop)
-importation of food items/stuffs (yam ,dried fish) u can do many or base on one
-opening a salon
-catering
-African barbing shop
-opening African restaurant
-event planning
-importation and sales of fabrics for clothe making (u can even do Ankara or tie and dye and the likes)
-beauty spa place (if u re loaded )
-fashion designer/tailor
-if u can sow wedding dresses it would be very very good
-importation and sales of spices (African)
-jeweler (if u can make beads, chains and sell online)
-lingerie shop
These were things I researched on sha

My own intentions later is to start selling cars to naija. It's a good business too but u have to be a car guru.
U can export stuffs to naija too if u have trusted people who are not going to be your downfall.
