ddippset:
Supported. I have never seen where a governor who's part of the federal executive Council, basically part and parcel of the governance of the country continues to take on the president like that. Fayose is not the only PDP governor out there. Others have maximum respect for the office of the president, they don't just talk anyhow. Buhari has never had any person problem with fayose. Does fayose think we are still campaigning? By the time buhari starts using the police and the army in ekiti to frustrate his government he would start running to Olisa metuh and the Senate for help. Buhari go soon get him time.
That will not be good, in this era of change why use the GEJ treatment on Amaechi.
I have personally taken out time to look at Gov Fayose his person and political career, I have seen him at time speak eloquently and other times recklessly my conclusion is that he is a man God want on the helms of affair in Ekiti for now, all effort by the APC to remove him came to not. We just have to accommodate him

Concur. I'm more interested in that fighter jet, where is it and would have love to see photo of a Nigerian soldier standing by each of them. That will confirm its authenticity.
Anyway this is a good one, let him clear himself because under the last administration Stealing was NOT corruption.

It is obvious that APC has caught acute demented from the Commander and Chief.
Nobody knows where they stand, what they are suppose to do or even what to say.
They are getting loan from World Bank to rebuild the North that is still being blown up.
They refuse to fight so Benin is sending 800 soldiers to try an hold them down, but the President told them that they should stay in they lane cause 9ja problem full his hand.
Now USA will start trading weapons for mineral resources and loans, diverting money that we need to rebuild the economy and people will still be shouting Sai BoBo!

Daura Babas kinsman is attacking and harassing the Resident Electoral Commissioners of Rivers and Akwa Ibom states threatening them to falsify reports.
The DSS is now touts who intimidates, arrest and detaines officials of the Independant National Electoral Commision?

When they were chanting change they were not kidding........ #sparechange4brains
You seem to be making a lot of accusation, but I feel its just being emotional and sentimental and wild imaginations at play. Please give the president the benefits of doubts.
On the issue of DSS when it comes to security it is all encompassing from protecting the president to finance. High level bridges in security can only occur with huge financiers . Corrupt officials are top security watch and EFCC duly need their assistance. Intact it is the other way round, DSS needs EFCC to be effective.

I disagree with you completely on this, If you say, just block loop holes people will develop strategy to overcome every measure to checkmate corruption.
The best and most effective measure is deterrent. Fear of the consequences, unwillingness to want to engage in it. By so doing we will be building a new culture and new set of incorrigible leaders in our society.

Just imagine getting Shagari to speak, IBB on June 12, Abdusallam on Abacha and Abiola, GEJ to speak on OBJ, Yaradua, Dizeani, Okonjo iwella, Boko Haram fight and his perception of Buhari.

Stop spreading LIES, you hear?

Did you support the removal of fuel subsidy in January 2012 huh

Meanwhile the packaged expired product that APC marketed successfully to us on March 28 said he does not know about fuel subsidy yet he continues paying, two months into his government shocked

www.nairaland.com/attachments/2589504_subsidy2_jpeg57ea79bc1f8758353f00f8db1d53dbf1

Perhaps the president's wife has convinced the 72-year old pensioner, who confessed he cannot perform, to let the cabal be instead of trying to kick them out as Jonathan did in January 2012 by removing subsidy completely and deregulating the downstream sector.

https://www.bellanaija.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Chopper-Fun1.png

Alhaji Adewale Jubril Tinubu is the CEO of Oando Oil company
Common sense economics should have informed GEJ to make the refinery function first and see if there will be need for fuel subsidy
I don't know who stopped GEJ from persecuting the oil thieves but I know to him stealing is not corruption.
Now the man with agenda, correct definition is putting thing right, you have refused to give him credit rather you have resorted to blaming Nigerians for GEJ failures. So lame an excuse.

OK, so can anyone attributing improved refineries give any policy or direction given under Buhari's presidency?
All this long story is to prove what? To give the glory to GEJ rather than rightful give it PMB. If GEJ had been wise the functioning and refining refinery before his election would have been a master stroke in electioneering. All we were hearing is 'Let me cure you from your amnesia we hadn't have fuel scarcity...'
Have you heard of leadership and deadline.
'I want this done in X time' and watch how everybody scramble to get it done.
PMB powered the refinery to life. Be magnanimous enough to give him the glory.

Politics › Re: Cameroon Indicts Jonathan Over Boko Haram Insurgency In New Revelation.. by pharmagba: 4:06pm On Jul 31, 2015
kachysblog:
President Muhammadu Buhari was at Cameroon few days back to discuss issues bordering on Boko Haram insurgency and the way forward.

Cameroonian president Paul Biya spurred some allegations against the immediate past president where he said GEJ did not do what was expected of him to curb the deadly group attacks. The full allegation after the cut…..

According to The Sun, a credible presidency source said that during Buhari’s interaction with the Cameroonian president, Paul Biya, it was revealed that Jonathan did not do much in the war against insurgency.
The former president was accused of not forming a strong bond with leaders of neighbouring African countries who were also battling the same Islamism insurgency.

The source also said that Jonathan was accused of not responding and returning phone calls to discuss ways of combining efforts to battle Boko Haram. This led to a disjointed relationship between Nigeria and Niger, Chad and Cameroon in the fight against the Boko Haram group that was growing in size and might.

The source said: “The major complaint, according to Biya, is that Jonathan never or seldom, at best, picked his calls. He said most times he called, Jonathan neither picked nor returned his calls. And as a result, the integration of efforts that should have stopped Boko Haram’s foray and unchallenged run was lacking.”

According to the source, Biya also explained that a solo fight against the terrorist group couldn’t have been effective. He said: “This solo handling of the problem did not enable the neighbours put in much to solve the problem until it got this bad,”

If this accusation is true, it means we have in GEJ a man who never really cared about the pains, agony and sorrow the terrorists were inflicting on Nigeria. So sad.

Politics › Re: Terrorism: I Headed A Military That Lacked Equipment & Motivation To Fight – CDS by pharmagba: 6:52pm On Jul 30, 2015
dont8:
Immediate past Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh Thursday confessed that when he assumed office as the CDS, he headed a armed forces that lacked the relevant equipment and motivation to fight an enemy (Boko Haram terrorists) that was invisible and embedded with the local populace.

Badeh made the confession just as he pointed out that the decision of certain countries (which he did not name), to deny Nigeria weapons to prosecute the war against Boko Haram, added to the challenges the military faced.

https://cdn1.vanguardngr.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/412x250xAlex-Badeh.jpg.pagespeed.ic.1qaGcgb0Ww.jpg
Alex Badeh

Delivering his valedictory speech at his pulling out ceremony in Abuja Thursday, Badeh said, “Notwithstanding the modest successes we recorded in the fight against terror, I must say that the task or coordinating the military and other security agencies in the fight against the insurgents, is perhaps the most complex and challenging assignment I have had in my 38 years in service”.

Other challenges he said he faced included “the exploitation of a serious national security issue by a section of the media and the political class to gain political mileage”.

FORMER CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF, AIR CHIEF MARSHAL ALEX BADEH AND HIS WIFE MARY BEING PULLED OUT IN ABUJA ON THURSDAY (30/7/15)

“Furthermore, the activities of fifth columnists in the military and other security agencies who leaked operational plans and other sensitive military information to the terrorists, combined to make the fight against the insurgents particularly difficult”.

Continuing he said, “The activities of these unpatriotic members of the military not only blunted the effectiveness of the fight, but also led to the needless deaths of numerous officers and men who unwittingly fell into ambushes prepared by terrorists who had advanced warning of the approach of such troops”.

“Permit me to also add here, that nation’s militaries are equipped and trained in peace time, for the conflicts they expect to confront in the future. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience as a nation. Over the years, the military was neglected and under-equipped to ensure the survival of certain regimes, while other regimes, based on advice from some foreign nations deliberately reduced the size of the military and underfunded it”.

“Unfortunately, our past leaders accepted such recommendations without appreciating our peculiarities as a third world military which does not have the technological advantage that could serve as force multipliers and compensate for reduced strength”.

“Accordingly, when faced with the crises in the North East and other parts of the country, the military was overstretched and had to embark on emergency recruitments and trainings, which were not adequate to prepare troops for the kind of situation we found ourselves in”.

“It is important therefore for the government to decide on the kind of military force it needs by carrying out a comprehensive review of the nation’s military force structure to determine the size, capability and equipment holding required to effectively defend the nation and provide needed security” Badeh said.

“Despite these challenges, I am glad to note that a lot was achieved during our time in the fight against terror. The achievements are largely due to the commitment, patriotism, and fighting spirit of our men and women in uniform who saw the fight against terror as a task that must be accomplished no matter the odds and in spite of the campaign of calumny against the military by a section of the media and their foreign collaborators” he noted.

Expressing happiness with “the teeming populace that have continued to stand behind their military”, Badeh said, “Our true friends who stood by us in our time of need and provided us the weapons we are now using to conduct the operations will always have a special place in our hearts. I must also mention the support and cooperation we have continued to enjoy from our neighbouring countries”.

On his advice to the nation, the former CDS said, “I want to state emphatically that no nation can achieve its full potentials by totally depending on other nations for its Defence needs. The lessons of the civil war and ongoing war against terror where certain countries frustrated our attempts to procure much needed weapons are very instructive”.

“Again, as I always said, when the nation is at war, it is not the military alone that is at war, it is the entire nation. Accordingly, every segment of society must see itself contributing to the overall war effort by presenting a united front against a common enemy”.

“Therefore, I appeal to the relevant agencies of government to mobilize the huge human and material resources we have in this country towards the development of vibrant Defence Industrial Complex that would contribute to meeting our critical arms and equipment needs. This is crucial if we must reduce our total dependence on foreign sources of supply for critically needed arms”.

Despite the fact that I was not impressed, with him especially in his first 3month, I must confess I am delighted with the farewell speech. It gave me some insight into his predicaments and limitations as CDS.

Really interesting my brother. Wonders will never end. The GOD behind Jonathan is very strong I keep telling people. All against that good man (GEJ) always find themselves being exposed one way or the other without the man even utterly a word. Ahh GEJ, may GOD Almighty continue to stand by you always.
How and when did we sink this low, mentioning the name of God with the impunity committed by GEJ. A man who goes to any alter to solicit for votes. Are you rejoicing that the fighter of corruption in Nigeria is being drawn into it. If so, it is a shame and don't demean God in this fashion.
I know fighting corruption is not easy, the hydrant headed monster will fight back and this is one of its strategy. Trying to drag the fighter into it. Have tried to go on face book to search for 'Aisha Buhari' and see the number of faces.
PMB is not holy, but on corruption he is ranked among the few with lowest corruption index in the world. President Obama felt proud to have sat beside him.

In as much I want to agree with you I beg to differ a little.
1- the anti- corruption war is not a 100m race, it is a long tedious, convoluting herculean task, this administration cannot focus on only this as there are many needs of Nigerian hence may need to take on the last administration whose level of impunity has never been paralleled anywhere in the world since the creation of mankind.
Money recovered from this last administration alone can catapult Nigeria into one of the top economy in the world in less than 4yrs, if well utilized. Hence I support the need to focus firstly and importantly on the last administration.
2- for the other administration's anybody who has evidence of corruption should write to EFCC: now that anti- graft agency has resurrected from the dead and are willing to carry out their responsibility

I have been and stayed at least 2days in 18 of the 19 northern state yet I'm from Lagos and a Christian. I made bold to say that the problem is NOT illiteracy, fanaticm, poverty or Islam. I see this as well in most southwest state.
My theory of the problem is that some foreign nations and their nationals with reputation in terrorism and guerrilla warfare partnering with some northern Nigeria elite finding a viable tool in the almajiri , chadian and Niger people coupled hospitable nature of Nigerian people
The next question is why or what are the motives. The motive is to have unfettered access to the resources of Nigeria. Note the american govt says these group are internally funded by robbing banks, police and Nigeria armory. Skekau attested to this in one of his video saying he started with cutlass now he has several TANKS!!
These people need Nigeria resources and may be lurking organizing in Chad Mali or Niger republic. The mountainous and topography makes the North east a viable ground.
Why are they not in the other parts of Nigeria? It is because whatever they wanted in Nigeria can be accessed through this gateway
Way out? Close road bothers with Chad and Niger republic to all machines human and animals with full scale assault on all known hideout cutting off all communication in the process
