congrats on finishing the season on a high note.
la liga and ucl had always been prime target.

adan is being kept to replace iker by my own reconning.
now as you said to think of who is leaving cos we already know who has been added.
I think sergio canales will leave back to racing or somewhere else while two of ( khedira, diara and granero ) will also leave. We are still going to buy one more defender so that so that sergio ramos will move to center back.

Pedro is leaving, one of or both ronaldo and kaka will be leaving while i think adebayor and benzema will also leave with one potential striker coming into the fold. Maybe drenthe is going to comeback and morata will be promoted but with less playing time than initially planned.

These are just speculations but i believe there should be a clearing out and it is time to cash in one some of these players like gago who is moving to the premier league.

The relegation and europa league spot battle is on in la liga, who is going down and who is qualifying to europe. I am routing for A.madrid because we damn need two clubs in europe if valencia can have two teams.

You can follow the live table as the match progresses from this link.

IMO, Thiago and Xavi are different kinds of midfielders. Thiago is a box-to-box style midfielder like Essien, Scholes or Ever Banega.
You are surely right but as i see it, he will be made to fill in xavi's position and might become relaxed like him over time. He will surely be more effective if he is given an advanced role forward like iniesta but now i see him more drawing back to pick the ball from the defense and distribute it forward.

This na real riot ooo . . . good for you joselu but don't know if morata will be promoted or any other youth players with all these signings going on. We have come a long way and rounded up the season on a high note, time to sit and prepare properly for the next season.

The la liga and champions league will surely be our target for next season and earnestly looking to the players leaving or those still coming. We lost the la liga by dropping points along the way and some other lessons which we might have learned now. Time to plan and implement a long time strategy for the club, i hope adan is promoted as iker understudy instead of signing a new keeper.

Hala Madrid.

Coming from a Madrid fan . . . I owe you a beer if we jam somewhere grin

I have always said we need Cesc. The young boys are . . . well, young. Also quite naive. They understand the passing game, but are not able to define the final ball. Thiago needs lots of experience to play at the top level in Europe. He's no Messi or CR7. He's talented but no prodigy in my view.

Maybe they should do a 30m euros + Bojan and Afellay/Jeffren deal for Cesc.
Please remove afellay and bojan from that list oo o , they are the foundation for a barca option B because even wenger just said that everyone knows how barca will play  grin. Thiago is a prodigy of xavi but more skilled and versatile because he can play in different positions. Xavi is just like him to but by playing with other players like iniesta, eto, deco and ronaldinho he was able to understand the final thinking play.

Thiago to me is very good, even better than cesc but getting cesc should not be in the nearest future if not for his desire to leave arsenal. The price tag on him is worth it only if he is going to some other club but coming to barca?, nah it is too much. There are able replacement for him and no valuable player should be traded for him.

I hear bojan will be traded for rossi but that will definitely mean no buy back clause or a another cesc in the future. I really pity those Barca B team, i would not even have any ambition if after all my effort i will not be promoted to the first division. But these boys are very capable to take over from the senior team in my opinion without much changes.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: FC Barcelona Fan Thread: "Més Que Un Club" by Pharoh: 5:41pm On May 21, 2011
Barca stifles other teams game play and if they are able to stream one or two passes like malaga did then they will surely get their goals. This second string team have problem with goal scoring which makes sense for cesc to be in barca someday because thiago is not that forward thinking or goal conscious.

A very silly case.Section 28(1) of the constitution makes it clear that a nigerian citizen by birth cannot lose it even if he/she takes up another country's nationality.Only citizens by naturalization or registration loses their nigerian citizenship if they take on another country's citizenship other than their country of birth.
Section 29 even makes it difficult to voluntarily relinquish a natural-born citizenship.I'll advise PDP's lawyers & the numerous ignorant posters here to grab a copy of the constitution & read it,unless they are being mischievious.
The Supreme court even settled this in the case of AC vs Maurice Iwu in 2009.
True again, but that plan should include some kind of "Marshall Plan" for those states and regions with little to no income from mineral resources at least in the near term, or we require them to merge with other states.
This is a very good suggestion but in practice i am not sure if it will be acceptable to the people of the niger-delta. I want to see the present allocation as support for states to develop their mineral resource industry and other sources of income. Establishing a marshall plan that will make the states to be independent later in the future has to factor the benefits that will get back to the niger-delta states.

The government just only needs to liberalize the economy and do away with those land use acts and other laws impeding development. Creating a marshall plan calls for the need to turn the support from the niger-delta states as loan that should be paid back or they whould have some kind of percentage control in any venture that springs up from these supports. They cannot subsidize the development of other states just for nothing when they have already been receiving allocation for the past number of years.
If we can't do this then let us have a confederacy where we are only joined together by common Defence and Foreign policy + maybe currency. Or everybody just go their separate ways.

We just cannot continue to manage this system as it currently stands.
That is the conclusion of the matter because we are too deep than the road for us to be able to work together as citizens of one united country. I see the bashing that goes on here and there on nairaland and just conclude that we have totally lost it. The best bet is for us to separate into different countries and just corporate in terms of immigration, business, education and policies.

Lastly i also support the notion that we can't just continue this way but if we have more fasholas, okorocha, amaechi and chime in the governing affairs of the country then we will make some progress.
No sir that is not the way it should be, the constitution of the federal republic of nigeria is very clear about this case. The issue being raised by oyo state PDP only affects those with dual citizenship if their nigerian citizenship is other than through birth. The case will be thrown out of court because section 28 sub-section two of the constitution makes it very clear.

There is no case here so akala and co should go home and rest but i doubt the greedy lawyers will tell them the truth anyway.

The comment was so unintelligent; I asked myself is GEJ serving Nigerians or Agencies? Mr Man  - you can do better than this  - why do u i have to contact an agency to find out  how a servant leader has impacted the lives of the masses.  The impact if any should be clearly visible.
The people here do not have such information so you have to resort to other means of getting the information requested. You forget that bayelsa is a small state and having access to such informations should not be compared to states like lagos, kano, abuja, oyo and rivers state.

If achievement are public information, please can you provide me with the achievement of all the governors in the 36 states since 1999 up to this day?.

blacksta:
For your information many know GEJ never impacted the lives of people of bayesla in fact if you would like to know the man left behind a debt of N58 BILLION for a state that collects the 2nd highest federal allocation in the country and population of about 1.5 Million people .  Bayesla has 2nd highest unemployment figures in country.
You think anyone voted for him because of his achievement in bayelsa?  undecided Please you are just throwing figures around and forget to ask if he met any debt in the state before taking over. You should have also asked if he added to the debt during his two years reign. I am sure everyone had a job in bayelsa before goodluck became the governor and when he left they suddenly became jobless?.

I am sure you forgot to compare the unemployment figures during his reign and that of the incumbent presently. I really wonder if gej is the only leader in Nigeria that you guys have to criticize because i have not  seen threads for the other leaders. Keep on creating threads for our likes, lol i never knew we were so important and sought after that you guys have to create threads for us. It really feels good to be important and relevant in the politics section of nairaland.

I repeat again, as you are not getting the needed information then you should visit bayelsa to do your research or contact the relevant agencies to supply you with the needed information.

It went from there to barca vs manu and then chelsea vs barca and now madrid vs barca.

It all started with every tom dick and harry wearing the jerseys of these clubs especially the touts but am afraid now that it is spreading into everyone. Thirty matches without conceding a goal is a new club best

Real Madrid have played 58 matches this season, 30 of which have ended in clean sheets for the Madridista. It’s a new club record for the Whites, who in 1986/87 and 1987/88 finished with 25 clean sheets.

Similarly, Real Madrid had never finished the Champions League with eight clean sheets. The closest they ever came was six dating back to both 1997/98, 2001/02 and six in the 1985/85 UEFA Cup.

I want Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo to break 38-goal record, not Barcelona's Lionel Messi - Hugo Sanchez
Legendary ex-Madrid forward hopes Ronaldo, not Barca ace, takes top-scorer gong

Former Real Madrid forward Hugo Sanchez hopes Cristiano Ronaldo wins the Pichichi award over Lionel Messi.

Ronaldo has scored 36 goals this season, although Marca argue it's 37 after claiming a free-kick against Real Sociedad, which deflected in off Pepe and was awarded to the defender by the match referee, belongs to the forward.

Be it 36 or 37, the Portuguese ace looks on course to scoop the Marca award in any case and break Sanchez's joint record held with Telmo Zarra of 38 goals in a league campaign.

The former Mexico man feels Ronaldo will be worthy of breaking his historic record.

"I have always said it. If someone is to break it then it must be a Madridista," Sanchez told Marca.

"Cristiano is [a Madridista]. I would never have wanted Messi to do it, not because of him, but because he plays for Barcelona.

"I don't know if Ronaldo will [break the record], but it's obvious he is in a good position to do so.

"The next two opponents are Villarreal and Almeria, who have nothing to play for against Madrid. And as Ronaldo was able to score seven in his last two games, then I am sure he can score a couple more in the games that are left. I would say it's probable."

Sanchez won the Pichichi four times in a row between 1985 and 1990 with Real Madrid.

Alfredo Di Stefano backs Jose Mourinho to succeed at Real Madrid

The Madrid legend is adamant Jose Mourinho should stay on at the club and is sure he will win trophies for the club

Real Madrid icon Alfredo Di Stefano believes Jose Mourinho should remain as the club's coach despite missing out on the La Liga title this season.

The club saw rivals Barcelona announced La Liga champions on Wednesday and have had to settle for winning the Copa del Rey this season.

Mourinho has come under scrutiny in recent weeks for a number of outbursts in the media, especially the comments made after the club's exit at the semi-final of the Champions League to Barcelona.

However, Di Stefano is adamant the Portuguese tactician should stay at the club.

"I'm not the one making decisions, but the directors know what they are doing. I believe Mourinho should stay on, he's doing a very good job. We have been up there fighting right until the end," the club's president of honor told Marca.

"I don't believe (this season) has been a failure. We won a title, had a very good league campaign and did very well in Europe. We have been up there among the best and you can't always win."

Di Stefano affirmed that he wants Mourinho to be successful, and is sure the coach will win more trophies at the club if given the chance.

"I want Mou to succees and I'm sure he'll win more titles. Everyone involved with Madrid wants to win trophies and I think we will achieve that," he added.

The legendary former striker, who scored 307 goals in 396 appearances for Madrid, also had a few complimentary words for rivals Barcelona.

"I believe Barcelona and Messi deserve what they have achieved," he concluded.

Madrid travel to Villarreal on Sunday where they will be looking to continue the impressive form that has seen the club score 10 goals in their last two games.

Thank you for your post sister and i do really understand where you are coming from but you keep on missing the point i am trying to pass out to you. The so called members have nothing to loose if the site is bad like it is today and it is only the owner that will definitely feel a loss. Yeah we all wished for a good forum where you can interact maturedly and gain useful ideas or knowledge.

There is no pain, if you don't get that but the owner of this site do not enjoy such privileges. He needs to manage the site very well so he can make profits out of it. He needs to do that so that he can use it as a platform to expand and offer related or extended services with the reputation of this site. This same nairaland at some point has been specifically mentioned in our movies, radio stations, television programs and newspapers.

He missed the chance big time in riding on that popularity to expand the services but who knows i guess the money from advertisement is okay enough. There is still traffic on this site and advertisement money is still trickling in so maybe that explains the sluggishness to effect changes. Nairaland is not a business venture so it is been run from the mindset of just a forum. Nairaland is now in a long battle to repair its damaged reputation and fight the new problems springing up every day like tribalism, fighting and use of abusive words.

My sister i have been here for over three years and i have not seen much innovation or changes. It is the same old and tired creating of threads, discussing and there has not been new sections or categories. The contents of the threads and how people has been engaging each other is the only noticeable changes which has gone from good to bad. The point you are trying to make is like telling our politicians to stop stealing money because the money will be useful in developing our country.

It is like telling fuel and generator importers that we need a functioning refinery and stable electricity for our development. See this people are not under any obligation to change because the present situation do not harm them in anyway. The users are not going to change just like that or by talking to them except you effect the changes. So let him even implement the strict enforcement of rules for once and see if there won't be changes.

So this is my point sister, the users will not change just like that because he is the one that should enforce these needed changes. It is not by reporting other members because i see no reason why the same set of people will be trolling everyday from thread to thread without any punishment from the management.
