Career / Re: Should I Quit My Job To Pursue More Education ? by Phems(m): 6:01pm On Jan 19, 2023
temitope66:
I am in my mid 20's, I do things solely on my own financially. I work in a company with a take home monthly pay of 70k and at the same time I'm running a part time program for my National Diploma, I'm in my ND2 now.
So I planned to quite my job by December and process a direct entry into a Federal University to get a BSc, I planned to save enough money to pay my bills during the course of schooling and I can still work during vacation as I am highly skilled in the field, the skill is highly sort for all over the country. But I'm confused on either to still keep my Job and further my Education when I make enough money and have a business of my own.
Please I need advice.

Why choose when you can have the two? You can work and study. Go for Unilag DLI, your experience prior to graduation will be a great plus.

You call these insults? Lwkmd!

You are lucky this is a repented Tranxo. But another nonsense post from you, denigrating the efforts guys are making here to lift each other won't be treated lightly.

What value have you added here to justify your casting aspersions on the priceless efforts of noble men and women here. You claim to have read through this thread, yet, you didn't come across the several lectures and tidbits here? Are you slow?

Don't get me started o. What the hell do you mean by spewing that thing from your mouth. Secrets? And you have read through this thread? And you NEVER commented even once?

Stop being a sponge and parasite. How can you soak up 2000 pages without learning ONE thing, yet you are disparaging other people's efforts? Are you daft?

Be guided o!!

You mean this is a better version of yourself now? Then, I need not reply you any further, at least till you know the meaning of insult and how to give your opinion without insulting anyone. Even my comment you are ranting on did not insult anyone.

You are VERY LAZY. Did you even read up to page 5 to write this nonsense? Do you know the wealth of information contained here, painstakingly and selflessly shared by several good folks here? If you are too lazy to read, keep quiet and enjoy whatever info you are fortunate to meet when you joined this thread.

Arrant nonsense. Mtchewww!!

May God bless everyone with sales whether you have had it or expecting it, ameen.

This month has been all about outbounding my remaining Geo names..I have been a lazy outbounder, still a lazy outbounder.

I was able to outbound at least 40 Geos so far this January with 35 yet to be outbounded. I haven't been able to do any follow-ups, though a little complacent..girls problems has been my major hindrance.

Though, managed to bag a $599 Geo sale for two months installment payments via DAN so far on first sent sale letter. Would have shared the name, but untill February, when the remaining balance enters, God's willing.

So, some learners in the thread like myself have been trying to contact me for questions. Let me just drop all that I know here. Let's ask whateva questions via the thread.

So far, I've sold 18 Geo names in total...50% got sold on First email and remaining 50% on second follow-up

My outbound method:

1. Google Results
2. Gmap
3. Bing results (1st 20 pages)
4. Reon
5. Skyemail extractor.

Reon is the last I use after no sales.

You can outbound using mobile phone by using the 3 methods above.

Setting up your mobile phone: download kiwi browser...........to be continued.

Thanks for revealing the secrets kept from this thread right from page 1 to page over 2100+ pages. Though, there are still more to unravel.

Religion / Re: Daddy Freeze: Celebrating Christmas, Is Celebrating A Pagan God's Birthday by Phems(m): 3:07pm On Dec 20, 2018
HigherEd:
This guy is really dull...
Nobody said Christ was born on the 25th, it is just a day Christians picked to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Yes it was a former paganic holiday but when pagans turned Christians they chose the day which was formerly a celebration of everything vile to celebrate love, one another and the birth of Christ. This is the same way pagans turned their former shrines into churches as a way of exemplifying the dominion of Christ above any other gods in their communities.

By turning the 25th to Christmas, or shrines to churches the former pagans were submitting everything dear to themselves to Christ.

When a demon possessed person is exorcised in the name of Jesus and the person then accepts Christ as his lord and personal savior, the Holy Spirit would enter such a soul irrespective of whether legions of demons where living there before, because the name and blood of Jesus is a sanctifying power. If anything even remotely demonic is sanctified unto Christ, from that moment on it changes and belongs to Jesus.
When the Ark of Covenant was stolen and forcibly taken into Dagon's shrine, the following morning had Dagon fallen face flat. This is because all of the earth and its constituent belongs to God almighty including the days, hours and minutes plus the very materials used in making dagon.
This is why the apostles allowed Christians to eat foods sacrificed unto idols because a believer in Christ is a god on his own. So dedicating 25th to celebrate Jesus is actually giving to God what he already owns. Saying one day belongs to the devil is actually exhalting the devil. What on earth did the devil create to deserve a day? He didn't create anything and has no right to anything. Everything he possesses today he stole and our Christ backed mandate permits us to take all of it back. The earth and its fullness thereof. If care is not taken we would start celebrating Jesus again during Halloween!

It is not a conspiracy anything, most pastors know this even before you were born Mr. Daddy Frozen...

Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Phems(m): 9:27am On Jul 12, 2017
Do you think my spouse will also go through the whole process - Writing IELTS, POF, WES e.t.c if we intend to go together? If yes, what is the difference if we register individually?

zandora:
Hello all,

I've created this thread for Canadian Express Entry and outstanding FSW 2014 applicants since the previous thread became too long and has now been closed. I've also pasted a PDF link below which details the step by step instructions to apply for the Federal Skilled Workers Program via Express Entry.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4gWGgP8Vy5lSjFoaC01ZUtOaTg/view

In order to apply for Express Entry via FSW you need to first have a minimum of 1 year full time (30 hrs a week) or 2 years part time (15 hrs a week) skilled work experience which falls under NOC code A,B or O. Check for your NOC code below:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

Next take your IELTS General test.

Then evaluate your degree or credentials via WES Canada (the best option). See link below:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

After doing the above, to find out if you've qualified you need to score a minimum of 67 points out of 100 in the FSW grid. Calculate your score below:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

Now that you've qualified, you can go ahead and complete your Express Entry profile via the link below:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp

Other things you must have:

Reference letters to verify the work experience you're claiming points for in the specified format below:

Written on company letterhead.

Signed by the responsible officers/supervisor.

Have the printed name and job title of the responsible officer/supervisor beneath the signature.

Show the company’s full address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail and website addresses

Stamped with the company’s official seal (if applicable)

The letter must include 5 things:

Your job title.

The dates of your employment (ideal format: DD/MM/YYYYY).

Your salary per year (or month).

Your average hours per week.

A detailed list of your employment duties.

Next you need to provide police certificates from all the countries you've resided in for 6 months and above since you were 18 years. See link on how to obtain PC from various countries below:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/infORmation/security/police-cert/index.asp

Then you need to provide proof of funds for you and/or your family:

Number of
Family Members Funds Required
(in Canadian dollars)
1 $12,164
2 $15,143
3 $18,617
4 $22,603
5 $25,636
6 $28,913
7 or more $32,191 (I've updated the funds requirement)

Note: Birth certificates are no longer required for applicants but are only now required for your child/children.

Wishing you the best of luck smiley!

Science/Technology / One-tonne Satellite falling To Earth by Phems(m): 12:43pm On Nov 09, 2013
A one-tonne satellite is falling out of control and is likely to crash into the Earth sometime during the weekend, scientists have warned.

The Gravity Field and Steady-State Ocean Circulation
Explorer was launched in March 2009, to study changes
in sea level, ocean circulation and the planet's
gravitational field.

It has now run out of fuel and is spiralling back to Earth. The European Space Agency says it cannot predict exactly where or when but that it is highly unlikely to cause any casualties.

Education / ASUU Strike Update: FG Finally Bows To ASUU’s Demand by Phems(m): 2:44pm On Oct 17, 2013
Towards ending the ongoing ASUU strike, the Federal Government has committed to spending N200 billion in the 2014 budget on the universities as well as on each of the next three-four years until the universities are brought to world-class standard as demanded by ASUU leadership.

This is in addition to the N100 billion dedicated and already made available… Government has also increased to N40billion as a first installment, funds for payment of earned allowances to the striking lecturers, an improvement from the N30 billion previously released.

This information is contained in an internal statement at the Federal University of Otuoke by Professor Bolaji Aluko, its Vice-Chancellor.

On the earned allowances, Prof. Aluko said “Government will top it up with further releases once universities are through with the disbursement of this new figure of N40 million, so Vice-Chancellors are urged to expedite this disbursement within the shortest possible time using guiding templates that have been sent by the CVC.”

Professor Aluko said the development followed meetings on September 19 and Oct 11 of representatives of the Association of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities, led by Prof. Hamisu of ATBU and ASUU reps led by its President, Dr. N. Fagge with the Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Arc. Namadi. Sambo, Minister of State for Education, Nyesom Wike and others.

In the interest of peace, Vice-President Sambo appealed to ASUU to call off the strike and apologized over the “take-it-or-leave-it” comments made by the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.

Other points of agreement at the meetings include the following:
Project Prioritization: Universities will now be allowed to determine their priorities and not be “rail-roaded” into implementing a pre-determined set of projects with respect to the NEEDS assessment. Decisions are not to be centralized.

TETFund Intervention: Government assured that the operations of the TETFund will not be impaired, and that the regular TETFund intervention disbursement to Universities will continue, unaffected. So the NEEDS assessment capital outlays are in addition to regular TETFund intervention.

Project Monitoring: A new Implementation Monitoring Committee (IMC) for the NEEDS Assessment intervention for universities has been set up to take over from the Suswan Committee. The new one is under the Federal Ministry of Education and chaired by the Honorable Minister of Education.
In addition, to build confidence and ensure faithful implementation and prevent any relapse as before, the Vice President will meet quarterly with the IMC to monitor progress.

Blueprint: ASUU was mandated to submit a blue print for revitalizing the Universities to the Vice President. ASUU leadership will now meet to decide if the government should be trusted again, this time.
