Miliky231: Mr.Arrogant,do what is right and things will go well for you.
Pls can you state just one arrogant thing he did? If you are helping the president to jettison the rule of law because of Amaechi, you'll be crushed for demanding for your right from the person you defied the scrotching sun to queue and vote. What a democracy.

For this comment and similar ones, are you not tired of the reign of impunity in the land? When will we encourage the sanctity of the RULE OF LAW? Warning: If this is happening to a sitting governor and all we could do is to utter those types of comments, wallahi we'll envy the military government.

And why not? Is he not asking for it. What crap are you talking about? If a serving governor sees it fit to go around insulting and talking trash about a sitting president just because some people up north has promised him VP position, then he should know that it can boomerang on him.

It is like a child that want's to throw stones but you does not want his mums window broken? Whose window will he brake then?

Literature / Re: Cross River And Ssce Fraud: My Nysc Experience by phildon: 12:17am On May 19, 2013
There is nothing new in this novel. It happens all over the country. And what should dominate discussions like this is THE SOLUTION not celebrating the failed system.
Literature / Re: Cross River And Ssce Fraud: My Nysc Experience by phildon: 9:05am On May 18, 2013
bankoleben: I had a feeling of relief and disappointment at the same time - relief because I've heard stories of local government areas without mobile networks and basic facilities (Ikom is not one of those), and disappointment because representatives of Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) had assured us when they visited the camp that graduates in engineering disciplines would be posted to places related to their fields.

I left my platoon stand and headed for the RCCF stand at Mami. I met a lot of people there; some with long faces, others looking excited. It was evident that a lot of people were not happy with their Place(s) of Primary Assignment (PPA).
"Where were you posted to?" Peter asked, his face brisking with smiles.
"It's a secondary school in Ikom local government".
"You're lucky because Ikom is one of the best local government areas. Here's the list for people posted to Ikom, put your name down".
Peter later addressed corpers posted to Ikom, informing us that RCCF did not have a Family House in Ikom at the time but would set up one the following month. He handed us over to Nigerian Christian Corpers Fellowship (NCCF). Meanwhile, Ade was posted to a secondary school in Boki local government, and he looked devastated from the look on his face.

When we got to NCCF stand, there were a lot of people around with their belongings lying on the ground. It was evident that passengers outnumbered the vehicles available.
"Mr. Principle, Mr. Principle...", I heard a feminine voice call from behind. I turned around sharply, and it was a familiar face. It was Bose.
"Good afternoon", I greeted, squeezing out some smiles on my face.
"Where were you posted to?", she asked, showing little sense of courtesy.
"It's Ikom".
"That's good", she said in Yoruba, "We're going to the same local government. I'll repay you for what you did to me yesterday", she continued.
Bose and I met the previous day when I was on a queue to receive the NYSC monthly allowance. It was a long queue and she wanted to jump the queue by coming into my front which I resisted. I made her realise that I don't do it or allow it, stressing that it's a disservice not only to me, but also other patient people behind me on the queue. She seemed unimpressed by my little 'lecture' and begged someone else who allowed her to join the queue.

The travelling arrangement was hectic, but finally, at about 4:30 pm, a six-passenger car going to Ikom came around and I was able to secure a space in the front seat, and in no time, we were out of the Obubra camp.
Which engineering discipline did you read? Noisemaker! A true engineering graduate will never bore his reader with this needless and over flogged NYSC story. A true engineer will go straight to the point. Worse still, there is nothing spectacular in your message. This manner of exam malpractice is in each of the 774 LGAs of the country. Just another waste of time!

Politics / Re: 11 Killed In Renewed Violence In Kaduna by phildon: 10:55am On May 16, 2013
ola_pluto: I personally think the solution to this constant attack is public execution. If a Fulani is caught to have commited murder, he should be executed publicly. If an 'indigene' kills a fulani, he too should be executed publicly. By the time we legally kill 100 offenders, people will be scared to take laws into their hands. Our justice system is virtually non-existent and now deployed mainly for political use only.
And that's shari'a. You hate it.

The National Assembly should pass a law banning the threatening of Nigeria by every and anybody.

Meanwhile, why is MASSOB making noise sef. These people have been threatening Nigeria since 1967 and till date, they havent even successfully burnt a Nigerian flag talkless of cause any reasonable problems.

It is in our laws already. Their actions constitute what we call treasonable felony. What we don't have is govt. 2015 is another year of decision. Decide wisely.

Politics / Re: Jonathan Ready To Forgo Second Term – Presidency by phildon: 2:54pm On May 02, 2013
Billyonaire: A single 6-Years Term for Presidents, Vice Presidents and all Governors will be the solution to the intermittent chaos that opposition pours into the Polity with a view of 'taking-over', thereby allowing the Governors and Presidency to focus on developmental ideals instead of defending their actions and inaction through out their tenure. If Nigeria is to speedily gravitate from being 3rd world to the next phase, then I admonish the house to selflessly pass this 6yr single term bill to enable the people stay focused on good governance. With regards to GEJ, He is too sincere, that's the issue here, I personally would have loved him to continue this abled-leadership to the second term (which am sure he will win) but if he chooses to give up the Second term in the event that Single term is passed by law, I can only instruct the Legislatures to exempt Jonathan, He MUST serve 8yrs. SO SHALL IT BE!

tomakint: Our Own Wole Soyinka I totally disagree with you on this! Those tebliks who beat up masquerades in Oshogbo, Ibadan, Abeokuta are muslims and not Boko Harams, those who beheaded Gideon Akaluka in 1994 are not boko harams but are muslims, those who beat up Oloolu (a famous Masquerade) and his followers at Ibadan last year are muslims and not boko harams, the message is very clear there is a connection from Islam to what boko harams are doing and that is VIOLENCE! Truth be told cool
