These are all bullshit.
Telling me how Jesus feed 1 million people with a loaf of bread and five fishes.
This was similar story they told us in primary school how the tortoise fell from heaven and cracked it's shell that's why it's shell is still in patches.

Fictional stories that never happened.

The most annoying thing is "They keep showing us a picture of an insane man" and tell us this is Jesus Christ.
Jesus was allegedly born around 1245, that's about 5 million years ago, when there was no camera.
How did you come up with a picture of a man who died 5 million years ago when there was no camera ??

Fucck out of here with that bullshit.
2015-1245=770. So how did you get 5 million? Or is this your own type of fiction?

Off topic....but the reason why our universities are in such a mess is largely because

1.There are too many of them. And the government has to fund all of them from a treasury that is too small, even at the best of times.

(Nigeria is not a rich country. We produce oil at the same amount as the United Arab Emirates....for a population of 170million people...compared to UAE'S 8million. That is why corruption is so painful here.).

2.Because we are an oil dependent society....our education becomes a means to get paper qualification to get our hands on our share of the oyel money. If we were an industrial society...we would have been more knowledge driven....so our schools would HAVE to be knowledge driven, and even cheating would fall...because the industries you get a job in want your knowledge....not your certificate.
You made some sense here and that's why we need to vote GMB/OSINBAJO on 14 FeBuhari 2015.

2tex: ADVICE TO MODS:
Before a thread hits the front page, the Mods should please ensure that there are no grammatical blunders in both the topic and the content of the Post.

I believe the Mods have the power to make this happen.

Some people just rush into creating threads and fail to pay attention to grammatical details especially spellings.

Nairaland is open to the whole world, hence topics should at least be free of all these. Incorrect spellings on topics dat hits d front page makes Nairaland look very childish and unprofessional maybe.

Finally, unnecessary and inconsequential topics makes the front page these days. Pls look into this too. Thanks.
How I wish you could present this in error-free grammar.

Childish talk! When were you born? Even in GMB's military regime, he was not the "no nonsense" guy. Late Idiagbon was! Buhari was a weakling who could not do anything to offend the northern oligarchy when any of them flouted the rules. Just google the story of 53 suitcases and educate yourself.

Even if you attribute that regime's anti-corruption record to him, Nigeria of today has moved beyond kangaroo courts or military tribunals pronouncing judgements without proper investigations or fair hairing to the accused. You can't fight corruption with fiat these days. You have to prove your case in court.

Lastly, it is an illusion to think one man in the midst of rogues will stop them from their evils. How will Buhari convict Tinubu, Adeyemi ikuforiji, Achike Udenwa, George Akume, Femi Fani-Kayode who enriched themselves with public office. Fighting corruption effectively requires the resolve of each and every Nigerians. Buhari can't do sh*t!!!
1. You may say I am childish but the world knows that Buhari did not spare anybody in his fight against corruption even Bakinzuo(former Gov of Kano State) and his kinsman Umaru Dikko.
2. Sorry I have read the myth of 53 briefcase uncountable no. of times. I have also read Buhari's defence against those accusations too. I only discovered that you guys are just hell-bent on soiling his reputation. Pls do read Buhari's defence and be fair to yourself.
3. Buhari may not have the absolute power in democracy but he will NEVER encourage corruption the way PDP is doing. From Ibori, Alams, Tony Anenih, Obj...The list is endless. In your church mind, you know it that Buhari will never allow such calamities.
4. Finally, if you are to choose btw Buhari-led party and GEJ-led party, which one will u go for? With reason pls.
Politics / Re: Crisis May End Pdp’s Reign - Oyinlola by phildon: 3:20am On Nov 14, 2013
A party refused to obey the Court of Appeal's judgement and some rogues are here talking nonsense. Where else is the poor man's last resort? The earlier we condemn PDP's impunity and tyranny, the better for all of us.

Ode, they are not the same. APC has GMB who will stand firm against corruption unlike the way PDP is strongly encouraging corruption as evidenced in Stellah Oduah, Mrs Madueke etc. You and I know it that GMB will not take those nonsense from anybody! That alone is enough difference.

But when you have people especially from towns and cities who have a vast array of resources and access to knowledge to them, yet all they want to do is dance Alanta, use the internet to see what Banky W is doing or what Linda Ikeji is saying and who willfully degenerate themselves and their education (e.g. posting with textspeak, make no attempt to think before giving an opinion etc), then they are very much to blame too.

"Advice" is also a plural noun so it is grammatically incorrect to attach the singular "a" or "an" to "advice". You should have said "I gave some candid advice" instead of adding "a".
Perhaps those Eastern schools did not do much for you.
Otondo.
I disagree with you on injecting 'candid' into his sentence. While the noun number structure is not his, the qualification of the noun is entirely his business.

Orikinla: Academic education in Nigeria in the last ten years has been a scam. Majority cheated from matriculation to graduation. The Nigerian graduates are not better than high school graduates in America and many of them are also intellectually re-tarded. But I blame the government for these academic failures and shortcomings in tertiary institutions in Nigeria and the employment of half-baked lecturers who will not even qualify to teach colleges in developed countries. Majority of our graduates also suffer from low esteem, and the females are worse, because majority of them got their papers by sleeping with lecturers and smarter male students.
You made a lot of sense here.

The situation in Nigeria saddens me to no end. I know how things work here, and I know that merit is scoffed at, ridiculed, hated, ignored, and often relegated. No wonder things don't work at all levels of government and in all spheres of society. Everyday, one has to deal with (and live with) mediocrity, even in the simplest of tasks. No thanks to the "Nigerian Factor". It is not about PDP or APC or whatever. It is about Nigerians' attitude, at all levels.

I happen to know a bit about the employment process for most government (and 'good' private sector) jobs in Nigeria. Merit hardly wins. 99% of the time, it is a man-must-know-man arrangement. Terribly sad, but nonetheless the whole truth.

As a consciencious individual, the part that makes my blood boil the most is this: Why do you have to punish poor jobseekers financially and psychologically by making them pay fees. . . .and making them waste their scarce resources to attend tests and interviews. . . . .when you already KNOW that the jobs would be given to other people that did not even apply in the first place? This is just sheer wickedness.
You just read my mind. However, we can could have changed the tidings if we had voted for competence and credibility and not 'My Own' in 2011. Well, 2015 is another opportunity. Let's see if Nigerians are tired of this wickedness.
