Not going to blame the Zimbabwe man at all....

There's an old adage that says; “A man who plants Corn by the road side, and A man who marries a beautiful wife, shares the same problem”

Peace of Mind comes first and anything that won't make you have Peace of Mind, cut it out.
I think the problem is that she has a friendly personality and she is too approachable to a fault.
I mean her beauty is arresting
then she is approachable and greets and smiles at everybody.
Also, she is noticeable. This will make a lot of people including men flock around her magnetic personality.
She just has to handle it well.

Because with money they brought the best coaches so as to learn from them and it is working. All the best coaches are now having a stint in the epl and even the academies take foreign coaches and then English coaches are learning from them.
I learnt some division 2 teams play tiki taka. Shows you guys learnt from foreign coach s.
But then you are not the innovators of all these foreign ideas but it's good English football adapts

De Zerbi is one of the finest young Italian tacticians in football today. His Positional plays strategy with Brighton was always gonna be too much for Lampard. The result was painful but unsurprising. I saw a Brighton win coming.

In all, I hope Lampard, Iwobi and Everton survive the drop.
That's the issue. The English may have invented football but when it comes to tactics Europeans and south Americans practically re-invented football.
All the major innovations in football are not from the English.
Thr Brazilians with their brand of attacking football
The spanish tikit taka
the italian tactical formations etc
The English just invented football and added nothing more.

PoliticsRe: Fuel Subsidy Favours The Rich More Than The Poor – Tinubu by Philosopher1979: 4:00pm On Jan 02, 2023
Kobonaire234:
That's why we have a participatory democracy...so that you can put pressure on them not to steal.

Democracy is hard work. The people in sane countries enjoy because many people did the hard work...including getting killed and suffering...to ensure that such benefits were present.

If you don't want to do the hard work, just say so.

1.The reason why we have bad refineries is because of subsidy.

Subsidy is what we pay the petrol industry to cover their losses from selling petrol below the price of production and the market price. The problem is, because the cost of production is always rising...and is never static...subsidy prices rise.

This meant that refineries never had enough profit to be repaired properly. Also, since free government money was coming in in the name of subsidy...sabotage happened.

This won't have happened if there was no subsidy, and petrol was sold at a profit. The refineries would work because sabotage would mean loss of money. And since no free government money, they would collapse. Any profit made would be funnelled into making sure the refineries work.

2.And the reason why we cannot have new refineries is because subsidy.

NNPC sells fuel to market at N148 (to depot). It costs at least N250 to produce one liter of fuel. Importing the thing bumps the cost to N510 as at novemeber. NNPC has to sell the fuel at N148. #

Let the above sink in.

That means NNPC uses all its money to make sure fuel is cheap. In order to keep NNPC from collapsing....government channels a lot of subsidy money to them. But as the cost of producing fuel and transporting it rises, the more NNPC has to spend, and the more government bails it out....and the money starts comming from other parts of the budget...

That means a deficit....which has to be covered for....which means....LOANS.

What happens is partial removal of subsidy.

In 2011, fuel was being sold at N65 per liter...meanwhile it was costing N99 to bring in that liter.

Government raised prices to N97...meaning subsidy was N2 per liter.

By 2015, when Buhari took over, retail price was N87....but the cost of bringing in the fuel had jumped to N132 per liter...meaning that it was now costing N45 per liter to subsidize that fuel.

Buhari had to partially remove subsidy...and raised prices to N145...

Partial removal is done to free up some money for government spending, and reduce dependency on loans. It is not a permanent fix...it is a temporary fix.

Has been ongoing for years. In 1981...fuel cost 15 kobo. Now it costs N180. 42 decades of partial removals. If not....

If it was not done...by now you won't hav ebeen paid salaries for 5 years, while government looks for loans just to pay for cheap fuel.

So do the hard work of participating in your democracy. Leave this site...and be an activist.

If not, then stop all this chant about 'We can't trust government'. That was what was said back in 1993...and thanks to that attitude we ended up with something that has been bad for our economy.
You are right. But our leaders are funny. If the subsidy is removed, are we sure that they will repair the refineries.
Some Government officials might hijack the money meant to repair the refineries and slow everything down.
If we remove the fuel subsidy, the Refineries may not be built and we will see nothing in 5 years time.
iN the next 5 years the Government may just not repair the refineries.
For example, the ajaokuta steel rolling company was started in 1978 and untill now, they have not finished it.
A period of 44 years. I hope this fuel subsidy thing does not become something like this and
the refineries are not repaired 10 years from now.
There is need for a healthy relationship between the Government and the people.
The relationship between the Government and the people is that of
Master and servant. I can cheat you at any time and there is nothing you can do about it.
The mentality of our leaders is horrible.
Why cant they even diversify from petrol?
PoliticsRe: Fuel Subsidy Favours The Rich More Than The Poor – Tinubu by Philosopher1979: 3:05pm On Jan 02, 2023
stepaside2:
This is quite true. In 2012, many folks protested across the political divide. Even Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as Finance Minister was taken by surprise at the timing of the subsidy removal announcement.

In any case, events since then have shown that GEJ was right and we should have removed this subsidy long ago. Umaru Musa Yaradua of blessed memory that many eulogise today reversed the sale of existing moribund refineries to the Dangote group and stopped a lot of ongoing reforms of the OBJ era. Those actions had long lasting negative impact on our today's economy.

Key thing though is that all the leading presidential candidates today want to remove subsidy so I see no issue debating it one way or another. With Dangote refinery due on stream before end of this year, some modular refineries in operation and others coming on stream plus rehabilitation of existing refineries, the foundation has been laid to resolve this issue once and for all. Let us just wait till all these take off. Nothing else anyone can do for now no matter how intelligent they may sound
1. The problem is actualy the issue of trust. Removal of fuel subsidy may be good but the money saved or made from it will be stolen by our corrupt leaders.
2. As a result, most people do not see the point of removing the subsidy when any gain made from it will be stolen anyway
3. Also, the Government has to showcase the fact that it is serious about repairing the refineries. Are we sure the refineries will be repaired by the end of he year or it is just another lie to make us endure fuel subsidy removal.
4. A government that does not provide jobs, education, health, electricity and even security cannot be trusted with anything. I beleive the fuel subsidy money will be stolen. Since Jonathan and he others removed the subsidy what have they done with the money? The economy has worsened. Our leaders are not sincere with anything.
5. This is why Nigerians dont even trust the Government when it comes to security. Our leaders are not serious with anything and so when they lie that they can protect our lives the average Nigerian wonders if it is no another lie.
6. Bad Governance. Lack of trust and accountabiliy between the government and the masses is the real problem. It makes fuel subsidy removal or any other long term beneficial programme impossible.
WE SIMPLY DON'T TRUST AND BELIEVE IN OUR LEADERS

This makes it obvious that bbnaija needs to be scrapped
It's not a talent hunt show
Neither is it a dramatic piece

It's just an avenue to expose talentless, drab and socially conflicted humans who otherwise should be undergoing some skills apprenticeship to the public to become a nuisance and insult our sensibilities in a bid to make something of the underserved public attention and fame they earned.

Big Brother is solely responsible for this malaise and should be scrapped
BB Naija is just a way of marketing nudism, sexual promiscuity and liberalism to the public.
The organizers are trying to market their ideology to us and they have succeeded.
They want us to tolerate women going about nude, having sex in public, baby mama and sexual irresponsibility of any kind.
It is a western ideology they are marketing and they are succeeding and will succeed

The just concluded Qatar world cup was considered has the most interesting in recent editions, filled with buzz, excitement and all, the Cyber space was light, what about the bragging right for being a participant? The super eagles failed to qualify.

However, failure to qualify might not be a big deal as Nigeria was not the only absentee, but I think failure to qualify should bring an end to these hypes our average players enjoy on this thread.

In our first leg game against Ghana, we all saw how your 250m rated striker was strolling round the pitch like and external invigilator, no impact... Nothing.
Ditto with the second leg, man missed lots of big chances.

Are you not jealous of Morocco's display? Tunisia's 4points in a group comprising France, Denmark and Aussie ( even beating France in a stellar display)

Cameroon 4 points even beating almighty Brazil..
The black cats were not exempted, making Ghanaians proud in a little way.

But here, the show of shame continues, the show which I would liken to group of kegites, show of ogogoro freaks.

A member few hours back called an unknown Olisa ndah "one of the best defenders in the world" cheesy grin grin

Both Vlahovic and Nunez are better than Osimhen.
If it is Mr. Then what I said is that he is one of the best defenders in African club football. He plays in one of the best teams or leagues in Africa and his team does well in cad club competitions. He is one of the best players in the caf club competitions and one of the best in African club football.

It was not Monaco's fault. He simply list form through injury or whatever reason. He did not even do well in the Russian league. His decline was shocking and strange. I still don't understand what happened to that boy but again it was not Monaco's fault. In fact, Monaco gave him playing time.

I rate players by how the play and not league as not everyone has the same opportunity and if you are under 25 then your not being in a top league may be a question of opportunity and time.
