According to owngoalnigeria Frank Onyeka was fantastic tonight for his club and can easily replace ndidi. Did anybody watch the match. I need another opinion. Besides i think Rohr is good at identifying talents. He scouts well before he choses his players
komekn: KC has done NOTHING to justify inclusion 5 goals last in the EPL is mediocre.
However , what enables him is that apart from Victor and Ighalo, none of our strikers have hit high notes. We really lack quality competition in the striking department and are very very thin.
If a player like Ighalo or Osimhen gets too many yellows or an injury, then we are literally finished.
The list is not ambitious and all that bureaucratic complication in attaining FIFA clearance is just excuses. There has always been politics in the NFF and that will never end.
And if anyone thinks that Rohr is the only one deciding who gets on the list, you are delusional.
The midfield lacks invention and creativity apart from Iwobi, where will the creativity come from.
Seeing Ejuke looks promising.
The rest are thier on merit, past glories and there newbies apart from Ejuke I'm not sure.
1. As per striking we have Terem Moffi, Victor Boniface, Tolu Arokodare as young upcomming prospects. Also Cyriel Dessers is a good replacement with considerable experience. Taiwo Awoniyi just needs a steller season in Germarny
2. Samson Tijani is actually a deep lying play maker and so he has some creativity.
3. The problem is our most creative players dont play in top leagues. Obinna Nwobodo moved to Turkey and i hope he cuts it there as he is creative. Maybe some of the foreign born can fill this role.
Akhassan yusuf eill soon have his own srnsational transfer. Either this season or next season. Anyway scorenigeria reports that leicester city are interested in our nigerian kante
TheSuperNerd: Sadly, Lukman is no more with Betis B. He was released. The pandemic didn't help matters. So he is back in Latvia for now.
I believe another club will buy or loan him. At least in Belgium or Turkey. He has at least created a reputation for himself and Real Betis are not the only one watching
TheSuperNerd: We saw Tolu Arokodare coming. His performances in Latvia and the previous links to Anderlecht showed he wasn't gonna be in Latvia long. It was only a matter of time. Before a player breaks out, we have followed him in here. Is that not so? Same thing with Terem Moffi... We saw them all coming. Perhaps you just haven't been following well enough.
And long term can be broken down into phases. Not all will come in at the same time, but eventually, the different pieces will join in at some point and form a masterpiece along the way. That is what is happening.
Please tell us about lukman Zakari. He was the first outstanding player from latvia and betis snapped him up BUT they have released him. So where is he going now. I mean what club will he sign for
elunico: That's a huge one. Didn't see this coming. He was hoping for Anderlecht but Cologne was there waiting in the wings.
I'm positive he'd perform.
This boy is going places. He will give Rohr a selection headache. One of our u17 boys. Have you noticed that under Rohr our boys now desire to move to better leagues. I think it is a combination of two factors
1. Rohr's attitude towards his players to aim for the best 2. The maturation of our youth, grassroots and developmental football
At last! Obunna nwobodo moves away from hungry to Goztepe in Turkey. An attacking midfielder like iwobi. He is moving to a top 10 league at last. Very talented. The hungarian league was too obscure for him. Accordibg to allnigeriasoccer.com
Danielnino00: You really can't blame them, given our government nonchalant attitude toward sports development in the country.. Look at the decay in our league... What's the government doing about it?
But thank God for VAR and our academies...our football is gradually on the rise again...
Olulong: Fair point, what I meant is that unlike the west African teams where majority of their stars are based in Europe, for a lot of the Egyptian players u barely know them. But one thing I can attest to is thier Technicality and they know how to frustrate thier opponents
Aboutrika is an example. Till today i wonder why he never played in Europe
Omanambala: We still don't have a platform in Nigeria where these players will carefully and gradually developed to their full potentials, assumed the overseas deal didn't work out.
The platforms are
1. The national private investors league. It is an alternate league that will start before December this year. It will be by privately owned clubs and it will be televised. 2. Vandrezer fc which is a new club run like a modern European club. It will change the narrative of nigerian football 3. Bafcelona has a football academy licated in lagos. The owners are serious about developing talent in the la masia model. 4. A few football academies now only sell to developmental clubs in Europe and not just any big club.
Besides Akinkunmi Amoo and olakunle olusegun will make it because they are in small teams that are focussed on developing young playees. Also the MRI machine is helping as these boys are still young and time is on their side. Players like Musa Muhammed and Alhassan muazum Ibrahim are still under 25

tbaba1234: I have little hope in the 2019 under 17.
Tijani and Jinadu are probably the two that might come out
