IMO opinion Algeria are technically superior to us. However, we may have the advantage in terms of athleticism ( pace and strength) without any quality strikers and limitations in our midfield.

We may struggle to control the game and dominate possession in comparison to Algeria.

That means having a target man like Onuachu gives us options because Mahrez, Benrhama and others will run circles around us.

So we dispens with trying to dominate the midfield and use the speed of counter attacks and and good hold up play. Something Onuachu can do very well.

KC has zero hold up play and has no physical presence to trouble any decent defence.

Our attack without Ighalo and Osimhen is in need of an overdose of viagra it's very impotent.

2. Victor okoh Boniface
3. Tolu Arokodare
and othe young upcomming players on the way. Our football is producing talented forwards everytime. In fact Terem Moffi just transfered to lorient. We are producing talented forwards every time. As per crossers of the ball we have Hillary Gong but he just came back from injury

We are drifting towards a period when all Nigerian starting 11 would be foreign born.

The NFF really needs to step up and boost football development at the local level.

3. Nff/futures under15 and various youth competitions

It is his skill skill set that limits him and has nothing to do with his valuation on the market,no matter his price,a team can always afford him but question is what does he bring to the table of modern football aside tackling?

Based on skill set there are two Nigerian players that will go far if they are serious

1. Samson Tijani: He is a natural midfielder that can attack and defend at the same time. He also has the attacking vision of a midfielder and can also mark and take free kicks. He will definately end up in a top team in future. I dont care if he does not play for us for the next world cup but watch out for him. His pogba like skill set are too good to ignore
2. Sadiq Umar: Sadiq Umar is unique because of his creativity. Few strikers or attacking midfielders have 19 assists in a season and a lot of coaches will like him for that. If he can cut it in a top 5 league. I mean if he plays well for Almeria and a first division team buys him or Almeria gains promotion, he will go far. It is rare for a striker to be this creative.

Some players actually enter top teams because their SKILL SET is valuable not because they are necesarily the best.
One old example is David Beckham. His vision and accurate crosses were valued by coaches even though he was not neccesarily the most talented.
Football is about time. With time these players will prove themselves if they keep improving but their skill set by default can make them go far

You have very limited elementary understanding and appreciation of football.

Youth football is at best indicative of potential but far from conclusive. It says this is place where you can anchor further progression upon.

Nigeria probably has the best record at U17 football in the World or very close to it.

Why are we not world Cup winners and have world class players ❓ Because our dominance at youth level should by your rational transfer to the Senior game. But we are VERY FAR OFF.

In 2009 we hosted the World U17 cup we came second our players were outstanding. But where are all of them now ❓ Emma Sanni best player in the tournament, where is he Borja top goal scorer, plays in the mediocrity of the Segunda División with Huesca.

However, Brazil that did not go anywhere in the tournament has three players who are truly either the best in the world or very close to it. Just to mention a few.

Namely. Allison - Liverpool goalkeeper
Coutinho - No introduction required
Neymar - ^ ^ ^ ^ ^

I could add look at Solanke outstanding at U21 level golden boot winner. U21 is more realistic of quality and potential than U17. But he could not transfer that dominance to the Senior game.

Osimhen has gone to Napoli for a world class fee a fee that is higher than the fee for Lukaku a truly a WORLD CLASS PLAYER arguably one of the best strikers in the World.

Thats a huge responsibility to live up too for a player who has not completed two seasons of first team football before his transfer and predominantly in lower leagues. There should be cautious optimism not euphoric hype and over expectations he is far from world class.

Musa was badly coached when he was a teenager. I suspect most (not all) Nigerian coaches lack adequate knowledge of football and it shows in the talented but raw players they produce

It is not only nigerian footballers that have to go abroad but NIGERIAN COACHES HAVE TO GO TO EUROPE OR GET EXPOSED TO HAVE THEIR KNOWLEDGE UPDATED.
i even think exposing Nigerian coaches will be better. One good coach can priduce 30 good players. Its something that has to be taken seriously.

A player of Zirkzee quality will allways have game time in manu. I can guarantee 27 to 35 matches a season. Manu plays up to 55 matches a season.
He will grow a lot in manu

Manchester United should snatch Joshua Zirkzee from Bayern. He is what they need. He is young, talented and won't be too expensive. They might even get him on loan and he will give them many years of good football.

But this Amokachi experience in Turkey was the one I found most amazing.
