These things makes you wonder. Prolly we are better, no?
I think so. Give black youth exposure and they will win anything. The horrible way we run football in Africa puts African youth at a disadvantage but men i think God gave us black sporting and footballing genes

Iwobi is winger for Everton that's where he mostly played and with James coming playing in midfield becomes more difficult
I don tire. Iwobi is better off as an attacking midfielder. Rohr can see this but his coach in Evertoon doesnt see it. I cant repeat myself

I feel coaches had a hand in the way Etebor's career had stunted. The boy is not a midfielder proper. The attempt to mould him into a midfielder which goes contrary to his natural abilities( left wing forward or a support striker) is largely responsible for his derailment. If the coaches had done right by him you would have created anotber Daniel Amokachi.
Remember those 4 goals in the olympics. I suspect Galatasaray can see this and that is why they are keen on him.

Turkish football isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. None of their top clubs seem ambitious. They will all flop in Europa.

Poor move. He needs to wait it out.
It is better than stoke citt. Tirkish league is still okay and better teams can come for him. He allready has a reputation in Spain and turkey is okay. Next seasin he will go somewhere better

As long as you started your career in NPFL be assured your growth will be stunted and you might never reach your full potentials. NPFL is where they kill talents...ask Ahmed Musa
Ahmed Musa was badly coached. He needed to add good decision making and accurate passes and crosses to his speed and skill.
I look at him and wonder who coached him. He is raw diamond that was not refined

Not so early, brother. At least, he was 25yrs before the CHAN tourney
The age difference could just be 2 to 4 years. I mean the age thing is not that massive anymore.
Right now, he could be 22 - 24 years of age. I mean that is too outrageous (what you mentioned)

I had very high hopes for Rabui Ibrahim, l really expected him to be the next JJay. But he has promised everything but delivered NOTHING.

From Sporting to PSV to Celtic to Kilmarnock nothing until he has gone to a very very low level league. And playing well, why that may be his level.

And when I see him now, we can see he came from the era without MRI.
Rabiu Ibrahim dissapointed me too. Forget the age issue, but i think his problem was he had a bad agent or his talent
was badly managed. I mean he could not do well until he got to Slovakia.
Maybe people surrounding him cheated him or he was not serious or both.
Nigerian football is full of teenage wonder kids who do not make it at senior level and one wonders why.

HIlary Gong played today for Vitesse Arnhem. Now back from injury and fit for the season. Very talented
winger but injuries have stopped him. His case is like Noah Bazee. i hope he is injury free this season
and he plays well.
His coach rates him and he is generally highly rated

I still wonder why our natural AMs are being ruled out of the team despite the scarcity and need for creative players to support our strikers.
Because their club career is very poor or at best mediocre. Its an issue though. Our natural AM's too need to step up their game
and play better for their clubs. BUT in the mean time we can manage them until we get something better.
I hope Nwakali steps up his game as he contributes to the attack with his style of play. If he can cut it in la liga then Rohr will invite him.

Secondly, i think Eberechi Eze is a fool not playing for us. He can have a 7 - 15 year international career in our team as an AM. We lack quality players in that department and he can easily enter the team and if he plays well, he can have a solid international career.
I mean he can break and set all records in international and African football with this young, vibrant emerging team

They are natural amfs. Understandably.
Thats the issue. We dont have players in that position and so we have to lower our standards or beg eberechi eze till kingdom come. Make we manage rabiu like that. Half a bread is better than none. At least if he can play well and create chances then its something

You mean Million Koma. From the 2017 NPFL U-15s promises tournament where he was Top scorer.

Honestly, right now I cannot seem to place my hands on concrete info about his current whereabouts but I will ask and get back to you on this.

You know you ask a very important question b'cos I remember Olakunle Olusegun was also a part of the NPFL U-15s promises in 2017 too for ABS of Ilorin. Koma repped Rangers of Enugu. While Olakunle was MVP, Koma was top scorer with 11 goals. Now Olakunle is in Denmark after playing in the U-17s but nothing on Koma. I will definitely make enquiries soonest.

But again, maybe Tbaba1234 can give us something if he does know. For me, I will make some enquiries. It's well. wink
The npfl u15, football academies and other grassroots initiatives are a silent revolution that is changing our football. This is basically the reason nigeria will dominate football globally. But then it is a silent revolution and not everyone will see it

Yes. Stanley Kanu and Sadiq Abdulfatai. I think Kanu will start up from Maritimo B. Sadiq is straight to the first team.
The rate at which our academies are producing players is very high.

[quote author=TheSuperNerd post=93419354]Those video comps didn't do him justice at all. He had made better crosses than those shown in the videos. I saw several of his games last season.

And yeah, I have seen the story. His rise is truly phenomenal. Four years in Portugal and he is now at the Biggest and best team in the land. And to crown it all, the lad is truly young. I have pics of Zaidu from 2017 which you can compare to now.

Attacking wise, he is most definitely an upgrade and he is super faster compared to Collins. Defensively, he will need to keep improving but the signs are good as I saw a couple of his last games where his defending really stepped up compared to the early parts of the season.

The young man has a very STRONG MENTALITY. I mean his determination for success is commendable. I also read his story and i was surprissed at how determined he was. Attitude sometimes matters more than talent and the guy has a very good attitude and is hardworking. Based on this, i believe he will succeed in Porto. One needs that level of determination to succeed in Europe if you are an African player.
