Subzero047:Why? Is it because they think he is not good enough |
IDENNAA:Exactly like Andre Pirlo. He is in a technical league like Spain that appreciates that kind of talent . The english league does not really suit his game. He really needs to work hard this season |
Is henry onyekuru playing well. Anybody watching monaco match should tell me |
andrewbaba44:Komekn is very good in English football. So he can scout English league players that are good for Nigeria. After that his knowledge of Italian, Spanish, German etc football is very limited. He makes the mistake of rating English league players (both home based foreign born etc) above other players and he is proud |
Did hilary gong play today. The experts here should answer me |
WHY A LATVIAN TEAM WILL WIN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE It may sound Absurd but a Latvian team may win the champions league one day. They are sourcing talents from football Academies in Nigeria and Africa. Africans are genetically talented for sports. This is how France used diasporan Africans to win the world cup. There are now many Nigerian players flocking there at an alarming rate. These Nigerian players are good but raw. What will happen in Latvia is that they will simply refine then and win Uefa or the Champions League with them. Africa's inability to manage human resources is funny. Other countries see it and take advantage. The difference between home grown Africans and diasporan Africans (who were born in Europe) is just the training and exposure. This is probably why Valmeria does not want to sell Tolu Arokodare. They want to fill their team with blacks, win things with them and peharps naturalize them to play for the national team. I dont know but we Africans dont know how to harness, use or develop talent. Human resources is something we dont understand |
komekn:His experience counts a lot. He is still a good player. We still need him in the super eagles |
Clementoke:This club if they succeed will revolutionize Nigerian football. Vandrezzer Football Club, is the first Nigerian club to ever hit 200k followers mark on social media. A feat achieved in only nine months of their existence. Apart from the general professionalism displayed through all its activities, VFC’s media arm has been reputed to be the best club media in Nigeria and one of the best in Africa. There are more talents in Nigeria than the foreign born ones. Problem is those talents are simply wasting away because of the way Nff is managing football. |
Danielnino00:This scheme will catalyze the development of our football. A lot of talents will be discovered and some will go to Europe |
charlesemeka85:Maurinho go like am. Another Mikel/Makelele loading for him That marking will win Maurinho's (the defensive master) heart |
mostob:Players like solanke ojo arnaut danjuma bankole etc are just average and not really an improvement on what we have but BUKAYO SAKA IS OUTSTANDING IN EVERY WORD. I mean he is the real deal. In fact he will enter England first team as i dont see who is better than him. In future he might play for barcelona or real madrid. He is legit and not some overhyped foreign born player. He is in the class of halland and Jafon sancho so his case is different. |
TheSuperNerd:So he is actually a deep lying play maker who constucts the attack from midfield. Reminds me of Pirlo but i dont want to hype him. He has to prove himself this year in the la liga. Anyway i hope he comes up against thomas partey again and does what he did in that friendly again |
Update on Kelechi Nwakali He played in a pre-season friendly a few days ago against Espanyol and he played as an attacking midfielder just behind the striker in a 4-2-3-1 formation. He played the first half before he was substituted. There is another friendly against Alaves tommorrow and i hope he plays. I hope he does well in the la liga. He seems to be gradually warming his way into the first team |
Barryseal:Well, you have to consider the stockport iniesta (Phil Phoden). The only thing Grealish has over him is age and experience. |
Overthemoonman:Canr really remember. But i know Drogba used to bully arsenal defenders |
andrewbaba44:If you watch afcon 88 they got to the final and were denied by the refree who disallowed a goal and gave cameroon a penalty scored by Roger Milla. Felix Owolabi was world class he played for shooting stars and they were one of the best teams in Africa Haruna Illerika was world class Henry Nwosu Muda Lawal Bright Omokaro Christian Chukwu |
charlesemeka85:Didier drogba and kolscieny (who drogba used to bully) played for Guigamp before. A traditional team like leeds. Not too bad. If he does well there he can rise in French football |
According to owngoalnigeria, Mikel Agu is going to nantes. He and Moses Simon will team up there. Our players are really stepping up their game |
andrewbaba44:Etim esin muda lawal yekinni henry nwosu segun odegbami were world class. I told you they did not have the opportunity to go to Europe |
andrewbaba44:Yes they were. They just did not have the opportunity to go to Europe like modern African players. I mean Segun Odegbami used to dribble on the touch line and nobody could collect the ball from him. Okocha dribbled everybody in the English league when he got to Europe. Today's generation is just average even though some are good. Why do you think we are now using foreign born players. Part of the reason is that the standard of our football has fallen. Im really honest with this. Those old generation were more gifted. The issue with them was the Nigerian league was good, the Nigerian economy was good and besides, African players did not have much opportunity in Europe. It was Roger Milla and italia 90 generation that created that awareness for African football. I mean Kanu played the champions league final as a teenager. |
oloriooko:Ndidi CANNOT STAND UP TO SUNDAY OLISEH Whenever i watch modern Nigerian players i am dismayed. The standards of their forefathers are higher. In the last ten years we have not produced a midfielder who can pass like Sunday Oliseh or a winger that can cross like George Finidi. I mean 10 YEARS. I watch modern Nigerian footballers and i wonder what is happening. Im not criticizing but i am only being honest. I mean can we produce a play maker better than Okocha or at his level. I have an old man as a friend who does not watch Nigeria's matches because compared to his era (Segun Odegbami, Muda Lawal etc), the modern Nigerian footballer is average and sometimes even horrible. Its just my observations. |
oloriooko:Ndidi CANNOT MAKE DEFENSE SPLITTING PASSES. He lacks ball progression and passes into the final third. All he does is mark and this is part of the reason he is not in a big team. |
edi287:Heerenven needs money that is all. They are a small club with little money. I bet he has no say in the matter. African players are not given their own rights. However European players can make their decisions as they have better agents, publicists etc. Also afrlican origin players are not well advertised Here is olanrewaju kayode's wife talking about how she freed her husband from slave contracts. Recorded in Vanguard newspapper https://www.vanguardngr.com/2020/08/how-i-freed-my-husband-from-slave-contracts-mrs-kayode-fa-licensed-football-agent/ He is lucky his wife is a lawyer. Nigerian football federation should address this problem |
TheLoneCitizen:locally produced Nigerian players get satisfied with little success. Once they achieve a little something, they easily become complacent and start loosing form. The young man might think he has arrived when he has not even started. This is why i like Victor Osimhen. In his first match in France, he immediately scored 2 goals to announce himself. There is an enemy called average and Nigerian players need to transcend mediocrity. I also like Moses Simon as he had a stellar season at Nantes. Moses Simon has also transcended mediocrity If he keeps on like this, even galatasaray will reject him and he will find himself in Sweden or any nonsense league. Anyway, there is still time for improvement but he only has between now and January or at most the whole of this season and that will be the end |
Remembering Victor Osimhen's debut in the French league when he scored 2 goals in the first match |
Edopesin:How was his performance. Did he play well. Did you watch the match |
Edopesin:Dont worry onyekuru is our new prince of monaco. He will prove himself this season. |
Henry Onyekuru in Match day squad for Monaco's first game today As Monaco is playing today at 12pm. Henry Onyekuru is in the squad https://www.asmonaco.com/en/niko-kovacs-first-squad-in-ligue-1/ The Croatian manager of AS Monaco, Niko Kovac, has just revealed his first squad of the season for an official match. 20 players have been selected to participate in the first matchday of Ligue 1 Uber Eats against Stade de Reims, this Sunday 23 August at 1 p.m. at the Stade Louis-II. Goalkeepers: Benjamin Lecomte, Radoslaw Majecki Defenders: Ruben Aguilar, Benoît Badiashile, Fodé Ballo-Touré, Giulian Biancone, Axel Disasi, Chrislain Matsima, Strahinja Pavlovic Midfielders: Jean-Eudes Aholou, Sofiane Diop, Youssouf Fofana, Aleksandr Golovin, Gelson Martins, Eliot Matazo, Enzo Millot, Henry Onyekuru, Aurélien Tchouameni Forwards: Wissam Ben Yedder, Willem Geubbels |
Reference:Yeah, Africans don't have a consistent strategy for success. In all these European and South American countries they already have their next ronaldo or messi that they are training right now. I mean, they have a 15 to 20 year plan to produce a generation of talented footballers. Our own success on the other hand is accidental. However, we are changing with our honest efforts into youth development in recent times. We now have football academies and innovations like nff/zenith bank (which produced our last u-17). In fact, if we do not do age cheating with our u-17 teams, 40% of our problem is solved and with the introduction of VAR age cheating machine, this has reduced it. This here and now mentality is the reason why our success is limited in many endeavours |
IDENNAA:What exactly is Nwakali's style of play. Is he a play maker or dribbler like Okocha, Zidane or Eberechi Eze Is he an attacking midfielder like Lampard Is he a deep lying play maker like Pirlo Is he a box to box midfielder. I mean people who have analyzed him should say what exactly his style of play is |
