Ministry of foreign affairs over to you.

Are they Nigerians or not. A lot of persons perpetuating crimes with the green passports are not Nigerians. Some of these boys don't look Nigerian.

Madam Abike should please tell us their names State and LGA if they are truly Nigerians

Nairaland Marley is celebrating a short lived victory. The clown is celebrating bail. It's like he has forgotten his demenour, words and action during this bail will determine the extent of his full sentence if he is finally found guilty. He probably will be cos he may be as guilty as sin. Efcc has called his banks and MasterCard as witnesses I wonder who his own counter witness will be.

His real friends will do well to advice him to join an antiorruption crusdae now no matter of short lived and preach the wages of yahoo is jail, misery and suffering. Perhaps his lawyeray be able to convince the judge he is repentant and reduce his sentencing

If they continue in their path of loose lips and poorly thought out statements.him and his fan should know if established as guilty A long jail sentence with hard labour for him is sure. Naija prison is not UK prison. Such prison time should enable him reconsider his ways

This lady may be under threat. The circumstance leading to the proposed withdrawal should be investigated extensively. If threats to her or her loved ones is involved. The matter should be addressed to ensure this does not set a new precedence for victims of proven rape

FIDA, the AG at State and National as well as the IGP and the minister of women affairs will do well to look into this case.

I forgot to add First Lady of Lagos and the First Lady of Nigeria.

Stop deceiving yourself.

If it is that easy, they would have done so a long time ago.

The highest NL can give them at gun point is your email address which they can not hack as long as you do not send them email/reply their email or too close to them for them to insert a cloned yahoomail page in order to obtain your password & access your mail for your details.

The most important things are

1) never post your pics.
2) don't use genuine emails.
3) don't link your emails to your facebooks.
4) don't send emails.
5) don't reply emails.

chubbyblackdick, those that they caught are those who broke the 5 key rules above.

Some of us on NL are too open with our details.
Actually it is very easy, easier than you think. Let's leave it at that
PoliticsRe: DSS Declares Crackdown On Social Media Users Nationwide by phineas: 9:13pm On Jun 12, 2019
Arrest them all.

Long overdue in Nigeria. The west that you copy so much does not tolerate hate speech or inciting materials. The Arab, asian countries and many others don't tolerate it. Hope you know Dubai may not be as picture perfect as you all believe but thanks to censorship you don't see horrible pictures

Another example is the UK fire of 2018 where someone posted on social media pictures of the bodies that had piled up on the ground beside the building

He was promptly arrested and the post deleted. Here you will all be singing free speech till some nuisance causes havoc with irresponsible news

DSS should just not arrest them quietly but prosecute them publicly and state their offense as an example to all.

CelebritiesRe: Toke Makinwa Replies Sandra Edoho As Sandra Calls Her 'Client From Hell' by phineas: 8:34am On Jun 02, 2019
Toke is her right. If the other lady the artisan feels toke is wrong she should sue her,but she can't as it appears she received money and delivered substandard goods. One could argue that that action itself is a level of fraud.

How Toke chooses to call her out is Tokes business. She (the artisan) on the other hand should have doused the matter quickly. She cannot win this fight.

Banter1:
And all the comments am reading here, all seems to be supporting Toke. this show how bad we have become as a person and as a country. and to think you all are educated, SMH.
Everyone in quote is supporting toke because we have been in her shoes at one time or the other.

The tailor that keeps your clothes for a year and brings something entirely different from what you ordered. The carpenter that brought couches with sinking seats after 1 month of use. The artisans in Nigeria doing sub standard work is why we import from Dubai, China and other places. The country has no customer complaint redress mechanism.

This bad artisan services cost the Nation income for others and foreign exchange as well. It is a very bad practice. When it happened in China the country addressed it at a national level. Because they understood it cost not just the guilty artisan but the whole country a potential loss of goodwill.

This rift I repeat will cause not just the brand in question but all local brand a percentage of patronage as people will use this excuse not to purchase local.its a case of this is an example of what we have been saying all along.

Everyone makes mistakes no big deal there but it's what you do after .Every sane Nigerian with love for the country will condemn bad artisans with bad attitude because it affects us all

Next time Toke should go for a more serious brand. You then ask yourself are Nigerians owned brands serious brands
CelebritiesRe: Toke Makinwa, A Client From Hell - Sandra, Frank Edoho’s Wife by phineas: 7:47am On Jun 02, 2019
You do not call an aggrieved client who makes a complaint via any Chanel client from hell ,you do not insult them.So long as they have paid and there's a warranty on the goods you attend to their complaints with the utmost politeness till it is resolved amicably

This is why Nigerian brands loose business to foreigners even in naija. That's why people pay a lot to foreign brands for the same product a local can equally execute. A hassle free process.

The edoho woman has demarketted her business to the clients that matter and others considering using local brands too.She should have apologized to toke ppublicly Fix the spoilt goods and refuse to take work from toke in future as her brand got bigger.

But she choose to wreck her brand instead. She is not wise

Almajiri are abandoned kids

Mai ruwa, cutting nails and shining shoes which up have been suggested as their graduating profession cannot sustain a grown adult for the rest of his life

As at last count they were rummoured to be about 3 to 5 million almajiri not sure if this info is for Kano alone or the whole north.but if I recall it was Kano alone. This was given in a speech by the emir of kano

We must address the problem of almajiri. Rehabilitate first and address the issues around producing children people cannot care for

Society raises kids. We all are failing these kids

Scetrocom:
Having sex in the public is bad and immoral. There is no religion that supports such ignoble behaviour. But there is something we need to take note of. "During the month of ramadan" this phrase makes it look as if they were apprehended for contravening a religion law, saria in particular. When did NSCDC become saria police? Can't they be arrested for constituting public nuisance rather than bringing religion to the whole thing? Nigeria is a secular state and her security agents are not being funded from taxpayers money to advance the course of any religion. Authority concerned should take note.
The group should address speeches by their officials. It appears they still haven't given them the public address training

Watching the brands closely

Any brand that endorses an artist who promotes fraud should be questioned by all

Yahoo is evil. To understand this evil think of compound interest or your pension fund. If Some guy from nowhere succesfully wipes out your parents pension fund will you say your parents deserved it for any reason at all?

That is what the yahoo fools do. For all those supporting this, be careful cos your payday may come around. Keep stockpiling your wealth and watch it all dissaper someday to another

Well a lot of young Nigerians will not relocate and are not planning to

A lot are also coming back to take advantage of the opportunities available to make income here

Nigeria has more population per square meter than any country in the world. The young ones are the key to reaching that target. You all underestimate your influence in making money by building systems. You all underestimate the power of compound interest from simple businesses to make you millonaires

There are lots of opportunities in Nigeria. You'll only search and find them when you accept that travelling is not the answer

CultureRe: Fredrick Obateru Akinruntan: I Am The Leader Of All Obas In Yorubaland by phineas: 10:26am On May 07, 2019
[quote author=Amujale post=78176376]Yoruba predate the middle East in years that amount in thousands upon thousands.

When either Ife or Oyo empire is at the heights of their success, there was NO people resident in Asia.

Middle East as used in the post refers to a place and not a people. Egypt, lush and other lands extended from North Africa to the Middle East. Migrants from that era settled all along the way up to North Africa.

Yoruba share lots and lots of similarities with ancient Egypt including words and cultures. The one I find most amusing is naming the mother after her first child's name Mama x. Ancient eygyptian

While I agree that there were others on ground on their arrival. (The ilesha ,ondo, ekiti and some akoko people not all as some like the image akoko still trace their history to oduduwa) the great migration explains the first and second settlement of the oyo empire somewhere in present kogi.

In summary that migration happened
CultureRe: Fredrick Obateru Akinruntan: I Am The Leader Of All Obas In Yorubaland by phineas: 10:06am On May 07, 2019
For those who say the great Yoruba migration came from within Nigeria (Benin or igbo Land) as opposed to North Africa, please note travelling far distances within Nigeria (Abeokuta-benin) on foot was not unusual even in recent era that is the early 1900.There were no cars or few cars then.

Ask your grandparents and great grand parents and some will tell you how far they walked carrying stones
To build those granite houses and churches you see.

My point is no Nigerian of that era will count a journey from Benin to ife or Igbo land to ife as a great migration. The Yoruba migrated from the Middle East. Oral traditions corroborated by independent 3rd parties corroborate those oral traditions. These recent rewriting of history on the origins of the yoruba have no corroboration from early sources in any place in the country. Not in the Obama of Benin palace or any Ibo monarchs palace until recently. These are the figment of fictitious minds.

It is said that a bastardized describes his father's house with the left hand. To destroy a nation you attack their identity by attacking their history and their culture.I implore all to address these matters cautiously as we are custodians of a great heritage.Let us not destroy it.

Another unknown unknown trying to mention the woman's name to get known. Cheap as strategy

Everyone should leave the hurting woman alone to find her solace or peace. You don't prode a gaping wound, you don't kick a dog that is down. Those are basic laws of decency.

The self righteous busy body clowns should all just be quiet.if they can't say what you have to say to her privately or kindly in public then they should spare the pretence of dishing advice and just label themselves haters

They should be filing a joint suit against all the arresting officers as individuals. The strip club should do the same. Let them sort it out in court and settle for nothing less than their dismissal and a big fine.

PoliticsRe: #SayHerNameNigeria: Protest Rocks Abuja, Lagos Over Police Raid On Women (pics) by phineas: 3:24pm On May 04, 2019
lilwetdick:
we are not western europe ... strip club is illegal here simple as abc... we have our own laws..it is either you obey it or get arrested for breaking it
Actually there are no laws in Nigeria against strip clubs,(correct me if I am wrong, and dancing nude is not prostitution) villagers have been dancing nude and semi nude in Nigeria for many centuries and that exactly is the meat of the matter. If you want to arrest people for attending strip clubs or working there make laws against it. That way they are breaking the laws by participating in such ventures

If there are no laws against an act arresting people for such activities infringes on their right.

I should add I am not a strip club patron, never have been, never will be but this is about justice, law and order. This is about the laws of the land been sancrosant not the moral code of a few or the majority.

The association should mind their business and not interfere with people's private /personal business except for the purpose of charity or philanthropy.

Their irresponsible and unprofessional statement riducles their association more than the lady who is quite busy minding her own bussiness

Plus it sounds like they are taking sides in her affairs. If they must say anything it should sound like an offer of physio social support from them if required. It should be kind encouraging words to a wounded spirit not this silly statement

What kind of proof do you want again after she was caught with her hand inside cookie jar? The onus is on you and your crew of zainab supporters to prove to the saudi authorities that a cartel planted the tramadol inside her luggage because this story or whatever is nothing but bullocks that an intelligent mind won't buy. If the cooked up cartel bullcrap was true, the FG would fight for the release of everybody on deathrow (afterall they too could have been victims of the said cartel) and not just the daughter of one rich northern sheikh who probably eat and drink with abba kyria and buhari. I repeat, she will be executed like the rest of them because Saudi Arabia is not Nigeria where the rich are outlaws.
Just a reminder that :

(1) Her father is said to be a journalists
Good men fight for the truth,

(2)Other persons accused in other places should use the right channels to appeal their case and prove their innocence as her father did

(3)she and some other person's have been released in saudi with its strict justice system. In plain words she was not killed her evidence must have been convincing

(4)I am not a zainab supporter,I do not know her or her father. I am not a northerner,I am not Muslim. I simply stand for justice and truth. You should too

Incomplete or fake news is destructive than a bomb. I listened to the senior sister on human right radio (Brekete family program) yesterday, the drugs was not planted in her luggage. she has a luggage that was less than the maximum Kg,the cartels brought a bag filled with tramadol to make up the remaining Kg. They put her name on it. Infact she was already in her hotel room with her family and luggages when Saudi officials came to arrest her that there is a luggage in their custody with drugs in her name........according to her sister and I think she for her to be released, strong evidences must have been presented, one of my problem with this Government is communication.
Thank you for this awesome rejoinder. I agree with you completely that one of the BIGGEST problem of this administration and past administrations is communication. And I assume this is due to:

(1) poor coordination on communications

(2) indifference to putting out information

(3) not on any departments job description to put out public notices and no one speaks as per civil service rules

This must stop. The culture of this generation thrives on information. It's a fast paced world. Where propaganda takes over like wild fire when there's an information vaccum

The presidency must appoint a team to address all matters, not the ministry of information cos those guys role is not really clear to me and they will be hindered by poor performance monitoring. A small team to provide timely correct and simple information on National issues
