Okuda:I had to log in for your comment. You do know they were proscribed as a terrorist group on the same day you wrote this comment. It appears you owe the woman an apology. It appears you should also consider your misogynistic self is not quite as smart as you think. I should add any group that meets all the criteria for proscription as a terrorist group will be proscribed. But do the needful, apologize |
The shittes are clearly against the country. Clearly. They have a long term agenda which includes toppling Nigeria. Their annual Kurds day reenactment with Nigeria in chains flogged by them is a testament They have Attacked: The highest representative of the military The highest representative of the Legislative-NASS They have threatened the highest representative of the executive repeatedly-The president And recently the have attacked civilians. Why are we not jointly cautioning them. Their protests are no longer peaceful. And they clearly are anti State. It is in everyone's interest that we have a country.Or amicable resolution of different states if it must be. However we do not need a hostile or subtle takeover by foreign interests. Any group of persons that threatens this system threatens every one. The shittes ""peaceful protest"" is a scam. Real Nigerians will do well to speak with them (the shores) to thread with caution and not edge them on with this their clear agenda |
PrinceGallant:A 2 year old was taken away from a widow who is recuperating from bilateral fracture. (without her permission) Key word without her permission. I don't need to listen to any sides to condemn this. Also to insist the child is returned to her mother. You should too UNLESS you think it's acceptable, or you have done this before. NO Yoruba culture takes a child from its mother without her consent.Yoruba land is where women deliberately have children for rich families so they can lay stake to a part of his wealth as custodian of one of his children. So why try to tarnish the Yoruba reputation and history for your irresponsible decision making and selfish self? If you know about the matter tell your friends or people to go and return the child. 6 months is enough time for dialogue. The kidnappers have kept the child for that long |
@ SyNnadi Should they refuse to return the child. Please let me know via mention if and when a legal case starts on this matter. She will need logistics to get her witnesses to court with ease. I may not be able to follow the threads due to a busy schedule. However I will be happy to contribute to the process to make it easy on her and her friends.. |
Many thanks to Seun osewa lalalistica and whoever is the nairaland moderator that moved this forward. May you find help in your time of need |
SyNnadi:Please don't forget to give updates on this matter to keep it alive. You also need to make the twitter one a thread. It's easier for pple to follow that way. You can get someone to do it with her handle. Let's know if anything happens over the weekend Also note the offers for influencers, legal support and the rest. Please follow up all links you require. I wish her all the best |
Sterope:You are obviously a representative of the family or you speak for them. Go and return the child to the recuperating widow |
PrinceGallant:Then you are the type they call omo ale jati jati to fill owo osi juwe ile baba e. That's for bringing your Yoruba heritage as an excuse to justify nonsense. Yoruba people are noble and they don't stand for injustice. No Yoruba family will do this without widespread condemnation from all Yoruba persons. They will even shun and blacklist the guys family. So what exactly is your point |
PrinceGallant:Actually we don't need any story. Every decent human being that has heard this tale knows there's 1 basic thing that needs to be done. The kidnappers should return the 2 year old child to the mother. If she goes to court or not. Society will continue to condemn all representatives of this kind of attrocity such as yourself You all should return that child asap to the rightful guardian |
To the Guyz family and their well wishers I know you are reading these pages and following the twitter pages closely. Please see the analysis below (1) I understand grief makes people do strange things. However times have changed. Whatever the grievance is there's no excuse anywhere for detaining a sick grieving widow's 2 year old child. (2)By ensuring the family representatives names have been picked on nairaland. That means a Google Search of anyone of them or the family name now and in future will bring a first page google search of this matter. They should consider visa applications, job applications, their children's view in future of what they and the family stood for (3) Linda and other influences are yet to pick this. That means The momentum can still be nipped in the bud and the posts amended pseudo amicably with their apologies and the fact that they returned the baby. They may even try to convince Her friends who have posted so far to drop names, all part of the process to be requested for in the dispute resolution (4)Lastly if they insist the families path on this matter is honourable. Linda has 5-7 million views daily. She is a mother of a child less than 2.If she sees the post she may it up with interest. If she misses it she can be redirected With the offer of a paid publication. (5)They should also know matters can be made to trend on twitter to the number 1 topic in Nigeria by a paid campaign which is ridiculously inexpensive (6)The social media publicity will start, its a matter of when. The right NGO will also see and address the matter (6) All this will ultimately ensure the case ends up as a criminal case. (7)They should consider the above and do the right thing as soon as possible, the next few days is the golden timeline. The eye before the storm. They should use it well. |
SyNnadi: You haven't actually copied the persons on twitter suggested. They are all key persons o this matter. But that's fine. Because it gives another opportunity for another attempt at resolution and they'll know that the matter is no longer secret now. Can you ask his key friends,1 or 2 family members and a lawyer to formally request for the child from the kidnappers. Let them know the meeting and their responses are been recorded.Let the lawyer be formally engaged and representing the mother. The conversations may go back and forth but ensure the response to we want the child back now on behalf of the mother is well documented. I they still say no.You have evidence of their most recent formal response should anyone pick the matter up officially. Next week will then be a good time to ensure you copy every one suggested with the support Vera tweet. You can repeat the tweet as many times as possible. |
SyNnadi:There needs to be a new page titled support for Vera. It should follow the steps I highlighted in the post above. It needs pictures. Names and dates. It should copy the whole world. |
SyNnadi:Cc Naptu cc Seun cc lalalistica Righteousness exalts a nation and we all have our part to play in ensuring no one is oppressed Justice is speaking up for the oppressed the widows and the orphans and those who cannot speak for themselves. I cannot think of a more worthy cause for you to champion on your homepage.the way the Regina matter and it's updates was promoted. Seun Osewa you may want to look through this thread and make a decision We also need a thread on nairaland homepage rallying support for this woman on nairaland and twitter |
SyNnadi:Apologies I just saw this. Will do the needful. Please refer to myself last thread on this. Copy all the persons I mentioned. Send the emails out. |
SyNnadi:Thank you for the update. I understand Nigerian women are slow to go to court when their rights are infringed as a result of family matters. Something about the future. However the courts of public opinion can drive the process. A criminal case can also be instituted by the state and not her to serve as precendent. If the man's family believe they have done nothing wrong truly then they have nothing to worry about If she has any friends, A good friend of hers needs to do the following annonymously and quickly please. 1.Collate basic information and pictures on the matter..the woman's picture the child the individual that actually abducted the child. Key persons in the family, The timeline of the matter. The name of the families, progress till date. Etc 2.send a detailed email to Linda ikeji on this matter with the facts above copying this nairaland thread in the mentions 3.find one or 2 journalist friend send to them as well to share with their links 4.Start a new twitter handle anonymously with the background information and for updates on the matter. Cc Linda. Tontedike. Segalinks. Omojuwa. Abikedabiri. Banks wife.. Daddy freeze. FIDA. Aisha Buhari. Yomi shogunle. Aisha yesufu. Obi ezekwelisi. Can't think of others now Inform this thread of that twitter handle. this is very important please.I can assure you the right influencers will take it from there |
If everyone speaks I will understand they have a right to an opinion. However this man does not. He has no moral right to any opinion on this matter and definitely not on Tinubus,he is not even worthy to call the name Tinubus. Here's the perspective. Kanus loose lips cost his people their lives and what did he do...run at the slightest chance. Lie about it and Put his sureties in trouble. That's not an honourable man. An honourable man prevents bloodshed at all costs. And this same vagabond thinks he has a right to an opinion on an elder statesman of a noble people who advised caution in labelling an entire race as bandits Here's another perspective how will easterners feel if every south eastern man and child is profiled as a drug lord or kidnapper. We all know kidnapping In Nigeria was really high from that area at a time and the people also formed the highest proportion of illicit drug export related crime caught abroad by Tribe in Nigeria. However no one called for actions against the entire easterners in Nigeria for the sake of the acts of some misguided few. The Yoruba are more cautious in their utterances ,they are master are strategists that are slow to speak and act but get results when they eventually do. Nanmadi Kanu is at best a joke. A loud mouthed failure and it's sad he seems to be the designated spokesman of his people |
bigfish3k:If this is your response,it is safe to conclude you are not quite bright. Discussions of intellectual capacity on the role of good management in the building of nations will be wasted on you.Enjoy your delusion |
Does anyone have an update on this story? Is the child with her mother or not. Does FIDA know about this? |
Mean while to the rest of you mentioning me go and do your homework and answer your questions yourself Today is Monday I don't have time for petty people |
Gandollaar:Which yeye commonwealth. Was it your common wealth that increased the tax drive, developed and managed the systems that led to increase in Lagos IGR by percentages unheard of anywhere globally in less than 5 years It was your commonwealth that gave the management system for a working health, transport, infrasture, and security sector. African States fail for lack of good management systems. Lagos is the gold standard for all Nigerian States in all sectors. So next time you want to spew commonwealth bullshit. Tell me how your family's commonwealth has led your family to have the highest IGR in your village. If you cant answer affirmatively please give honour to Mr Tinunbu ( that has achieved all this in the league of Nigerian States) when you hear his name |
Bola Tinubu is a better Yoruba leader and statesman than the whole afenifere put together. He has the interest of the region above self. If in doubt see other regional statesmen of other region, he has shown leadership, strategy and almost succeeded in achieving regional integration where all have failed. The recent advancement of the Yoruba states can be deduced to his foresight. Yinka Odumakin should please note that. |
Firebrand1:If the wife takes them on in courts they'll be in real poo. They'll get no sympathy from any judge. There's no excuse for criminality they should take their grievance with her up in court. Remember the woman who beat her husband's girlfriend. She had reasons to be aggrieved but the way she expressed it got her a 9 year sentence. These people have expressed their grievance with kidnapping. You do the maths. |
gabito4luv:They will settle out of court. Remember she had got 3 key person in his family. Like his mum. Sister. And bro arrested for kidnapping already. They'll be in jail during the process awaiting trial She should add 2 family members with a good job too.civil service or bank So if they make bail. They have to explain to all their employers and prospective employers why they have a kidnapping case.promotions stay on hold to the case is resolved. Her lawyer can also move a motion for them to to take the child to her while the case of kidnapping is been discussed. The judgement will be effected by court staff. Let them say no they get locked up. Either way it's a win win for her. She should go to court. If she has no money she should call fida |
You guys are still deliberating abbos matter. The guy is going to jail. He was also stupid enough to plead not guilty to the charges. If he had plead guilty then he's entitled to the minimum sentence. Possibly a fine. Not guilty in an obvious guilty case, That's excuse for the maximum sentence possible. His demenour isn't helping. And the conceited guy is busy stepping on other toes. To put it in perspective the UK was going to sentence one of its parliamentary members that was a Nigerian for lying over a speeding ticket. All eyes are on Abbos case. Locally and internationally. Nigeria's Human Rights and women's is on trial, its a measure of the advancement of a Nation..Nigerias ideals during this dispensation is on public trial for the record and unfortunately Aboo is the test subject. It's a criminal case too... Let's see what sentence the 1st judge gives. All eyes on the judge, all eyes on Nigeria |
babyfaceafrica:Yes all that's needed is her signature and a good lawyer Forgot this stupid comments on nairaland. Only her and a judge has the right to decide the child's well being. The only condition medically allowed to separate a child from its mother can only be decided by a competent medical team As I said earlier get a good lawyer file your case. Let the system sort out the rest. Don't forget to join the commisoner of police in the state ,the IGP and the Attorney General for traction. All the best |
Since she is alive she is the legal guardian. She should file and sue specific persons in his family for kidnapping join everyone to the suit. AG.. Naptip. women affairs..her doctors . Minister of health. Make sure they get arrested first so it's established as a criminal case. I believe the sentence is now death. They should take it seriously thereafter. She must do this quietly and quickly. Cut all ties with them in the process and show no mercy till they return the child and vacate her life. |
Looks like something daenarys tagaryean would wear. I'll caption this "ebuka channelling his inner drag... sorry dragon queen" For imagination I'll rate it a 9 For execution a minus 1 Overall average minus 5 |
I think we should have stayed out of this agreement. Here's me analysis 1.We don't do much manufacturing. Other than a few companies in Nigeria with sound competitors on every other African countries what's our benefit in exporting to other African countries 2.compare that supposed benefit to our buying power. 200 million strong population. Now every African country can market it's product to our population almost tax free 3.Thats increasing competition for our scant local manufacturing firms... That's multinationals moving head offices and manufacturing plants to other African countries and selling goods in Nigeria.Or setting up shop in other African countries and selling to Nigeria I do not assume I am right but I need someone to explain how Nigeria gains from this. In all our decisions National interest must come first even if it makes us less popular in the African league. We should also discuss how we can maximize the situation to Nigeria favour what can we export to other African countries |
If Kano can have the hisbah can other states be allowed to have their own version of the hisbah as a certified state police able to declare a person wanted. If not then the hypocrisy/lawlessness must stop |
Rubbiish:Your boss will go to jail for this one. No matter how long it takes. He's not escaping it. |
Rubbiish:Yes he should resign honorably or go to jail. Assault is a 3 year sentence. Those are his options. He is free to pick which is more important to him. That said the standards for a sitting senator is higher. He must not go around abusing his power by slapping the weak. We don't need characters like that making our laws |
It won't stop... Parents coming to secular schools who have set their rules for uniformity... Until a parent gets arrested for acts capable of breaching the public peace, constituting a nuisance and stuff of that nature. If the school has a court ruling in its favour. Such parents must be arrested whenever they try to pull crap like that.If they have a contrary view they should go to the courts. They are not above the laws of the land. It will stop if this is done as long as they go Scot free nothing will change |
