CrimeRe: Nigerians And Ghanaians Run Libyan Slave Camps - Cameroonian Returnee by phineas: 9:37am On Dec 02, 2017
This is no time for polite talk.To address this menace and National embarrassment all eyes and hands must start with edo state.

Re orient the people, plan empowerment program, treat prostitution and cultists as a crime, arrest the traffickers. It can't be business as usual. From Edo the net will catch others involved.

For those in doubt of the Edo root.Go find the data on illegal immigrants in Europe repatriated. key word been illegal immigrants
TravelRe: 150 Nigerians Return From Libya by phineas: 1:41pm On Dec 01, 2017
Nigeria as a country and Edo State in particular needs to take responsibility over this trend, Illegal Migration should be made a crime, and the middle men fished out.

So these persons refuse to create a safe enabling environment for businesses to flourish in their land, they refuse to invest in real work with little pay and grow in an industry, instead they want to travel illegally with no papers and no certificates.

I watched a video of one of them been interviewed and when asked of his regret he said not making it to Europe where he would have been working and "making it" like his other friends.

The thing is even in the Europe as illegal immigrants they are creating a real bad name for Nigeria, you here things like the Nigerian Mafia, the Nigerian Cartel, e.t.c... the women get involved in prostitution and the guys....

Nigeria needs to take responsibility to curb this trend,it does not stop with rescuing them from Libya.

P.S-I mentioned Edo because I know the mindset of the Edo person, every Family has at least 1 person, or aims to have at least 1 Person in Italy, while they make their State Hostile to investors

Nigeria n's and their self righteous sense of entitlement

here's my take on this,(and I'm commenting so it' does not appear all Nigeria n's are self absorbed, judgemental ,small minded, self righteous haters)

1,Great minds talk about ideas, small minds talk about people.the lady turned herself into a brand.thats a great mind. And I see she's handling this as well with class

2.Who your neighbour sleeps with is non of your business. Same goes for toke

3.The complaining children had better be careful not to get disinherited.we know how much rich kids depend on daddy's fortune. But a man's fortune is his business, if he decides to squander it on a woman who makes him happy so be it,he won't be the first or the last.

This is not a tribute, its the former wife gloating, they were divorced so the matter no concern her,she should take a chill pill and grieve in private. In fact she has no right to grieve sef over another womans husband regardless of the outcome ( except privately)

An agbada is a flowing robe, controlled by the "One thousand ,Five hundred"....

If you don't get that joke, you have really no say on the agbada conversation, just call your contraption something else.
CelebritiesRe: ''This Is Not Agbada'' - Femi Branch To Ebuka & His Tailor, Ugo Monye by phineas: 4:20pm On Nov 23, 2017
I wrote this on another thread yesterday,

I will post it here again...Ebukas outfit was not an agbada.

(Ok... am I the only one who thinks ebukas agbada was not an "agbada"?

My reason is simple. An agbada is a symbol of maturity,a flowing garment won by men as a symbol of attainment of age, wealth, wisdom or social influence.

Ideally a boy cannot wear the agbada with grace, the flowing robe would not just sit right. So when ebukas takes the flowing awesomeness of the agbada and clips it into stylish submission.its no longer an agbada but a tunic. An odd mix of cultures from East,South south and the West is what I would use to describe the outfit and not "agbada the only thing missing is buttons and chains

E.g,you wouldn't call a bikers leather jacket,a blazer because it looks like one)

The governor also goofed in his tweet na.. "endangering their LIMBS" ...instead of lives. Lol
but the statement is correct.the background story is the pupils were lying on the streets in protest.Their limbs and their lives were endangered by the people that were to protect them
PoliticsRe: Governor El-rufai Reacts To Pupils' Protest Over Sacked Unqualified Teachers by phineas: 12:24pm On Nov 08, 2017
What sort of stupid protest makes pupils lie on the streets for the interest of others or for any reason at all.Other people's children for that matter

It violates the rules of engagement even in war.The perpetuates must be found and given harsh sentences as precedence.

Interesting case.its outcome will determine a lot.

1. For one, it may make people who can help wary in future to offer help like davi do did

2.It puts a false impression davi do was released because he is rich

I recommend the police issues a statement not on the case, but the guidelines for what should have been done in a situation like this in future.if not this may discourage helping a friend in need in future especially with life saving trips to the hospital

PoliticsRe: 2019 Presidency : Fayose’s Game Plan by phineas: 5:13pm On Oct 15, 2017
Fayose is a joke.To me he represents everything bad in Nigerian politics. He is not a statesman he is definately not fit to Govern

Not 1 great policy can be ascribed to him in Ekiti state and he still owes salaries for months despite bail out funds from th FG thrice.

Question is what has been his policy direction and the results in Ekiti, how does he plan to sale it up at federal level. You may want to do a quick comparison across sectors with el rufais policies in Kaduna and know what is expected of leadership

Elections in 2019 will not be bussiness as usual and sharing rice will not do the trick on the Federal stage

It's shall not be well with the people that brought buhari on us... It was never well with Pharaoh so shall it be with Buhari and all his sipporters...The funny thing is that wicked people don't see anything wrong in their actions
Buhari is way better than your kleptomaniac leader Jonathan. For the record our foreign reserve has increased for the first time in years, and all this on non oil revenue.

You will not know because you are an uneducated illiterate. And for all those that pull down this nation and detract those actually working to build things and their supporters it will not be well with them to their 10th generation
PoliticsRe: Buhari Lied To Nigerians In His October 1 Speech – Junaid Mohammed by phineas: 5:27pm On Oct 02, 2017
For the record.that was a great speech.it gave people who care to know substance to track this administrations activities.Posterity will judge all
PoliticsRe: Buhari Lied To Nigerians In His October 1 Speech – Junaid Mohammed by phineas: 5:25pm On Oct 02, 2017
Beer parlour analysis of the uneducated and the illiterate

Development is a path. There are documented steps to development.Any nation not any of those steps pays lip service to development

For the nairaland uneducated do yourself a service and just study development theories with a Google search I will however point out a few.

A serious nation on the part to development works first on access to capital. You reduce cultures that promote consumerism and support savings , with capital generated you invest (Not in all sectors) but in a high yield sector fron which you start to build your nation.

That means you increase your nations capital. You may attempt to increase earnings through exportation ,reducing corruption, increasing savings and increasing income through tax

So the President lists 57 of his administrations policies (which means road map)across all sectors that puts us squarely on the part of development. The agricultural sector is noted for bringing Nigeria out of recession with just cashew recording a 463% increase in earnings translating to income for Nigeria.Space will not permit me to talk about rice and other produce

So the President lists this policies and the strategies towards nation building.Bearing in mind oil sold at its lowest in this administration and prior administrations looted the countries savings despite an oil boom

An illiterates criticism is "he is unaware of these policies"

May this country never again be ruled by buffoons. Jun aid and all the critics should pick all 57 points and tell us what could have been done better.Thats how to be an opposition
PoliticsRe: President Buhari Inspects Military Parade In Borno, Cuts Cake With Troops(video) by phineas: 6:30am On Oct 02, 2017
This is what presidents do.A symbol to the men on the front line that they matter. And those people matter, they give their all in the most uncomfortable circumstances

Anyone that has nothing good to say about this is a child bereft of wisdom. And those who utter evil at gestures such as this sow words that will wait for them in their future.
PoliticsRe: Youths Dance Round Coffin As They Ambush Oil Company In Akwa Ibom Again. Photos by phineas: 4:24pm On Sep 17, 2017
Irresponsible wasteful generation. They do not realize their interactions with the foreign companies will determine their development.

So instead of organizing themselves into a sane group with a lawyer or 2 and make their requests known.

1. ask for a ssatellite office first.
2. Protect their staffs by all means and at all cost.spread the word should anyone attacks them and you all will hold them liable

3.play the position of good hosts for a few years.during which you establish a system that builds confidence

4.then request for their headquarters in your region.

but what do the geniuses of the land do,

They carry coffins and dance in front of their offices.

By taking this approach.they may dance forever no sane investor would move the lives of his staff and multi dollar investment into their community to please a group of overgrown street urchins backed by their mothers. These youths need to grow up and think fast.repackage their requests and remember it takes a lot to bring foreign investors into your land and they have a part to play.

lastly ask yourselves what is Lagos doing right
PoliticsRe: Ijaw Youths Shut Content Board For Not Relocating Iocs Offices by phineas: 3:04pm On Sep 01, 2017
Niger delta youths should speak with themselves and negotiate for progress with brains and not violence.

Not every thing can be addressed with violence.Gather yourselves and offer unrivaled security to foreigners in your land.Deal with any indigent from within or outside the Teri tory that breaches the agreement and make sure strangers are safe.Only then can you truly get the development you seek

No sane bussiness man will relocate human and capital resources to a kidnap and high risk region to please the locals when they have options.Thats common sense.

Gather yourselves and discuss our to address the investors fear and maybe there can be some progress on this

They forget to add in addition to the 25 thousand monthly.most Legal firms pay large bonuses 2-4 times a year in millions to their staff. Some even buy properties for staff. (Cars and houses) as bonuses.Law in Nigeria is not for the salary, but experience ,bonuses and money from private practice

You need to employ someone solely for the purpose of deleting threads such as this.

What nairaland is fuelling is hate speech.Hate speech left uncontrolled incites violence.Ask Rwanda and Somalia. If a genocidal or racial war should ever break out in Nigeria do not think you will be spared.Remember the Rwanda journalists tried and convicted for aiding the spread of the Rwanda genocides by their publications and uterances..long after the war

The caveat in red ink is not sufficient. Censorship is what you need

An eye for an eye leaves everyone blind.

Governance and leadership must be active to curb this anarchy breeding in ikorodu the time to nip it in the bud was yesterday

Lagos has a law against jungle justice. At least 5 individuals from those pictures available should be fished out to get the main culprits. They MUST serve some jail time.Jungle justice must not be allowed an inch.

Baddo members must be caught it's time to offer rewards for information.

Ikorodu residents and all must have a hot line for crime and badoo and the Government must equip a sars team to respond.
The community may from time to time test the line as agreed by leadership to assess it works

Everyone should leave the streets and go home. declare curfew from 10:00pm in ikorodu.anyone caught outside to be arrested

This madness must stop.we are not animals.leadership must take action.and all of US must cry out against this madness. EVIL THRIVES WHEN GOOD MEN STAY SILENT

This is a nice case against the prof .The school. The minister of education and the FG.Better if the culprits are women or less than 18 for lawyers looking to make fame and money

Assault.violence. etc

the country even has laws against this.Lagos state especially. It is time Lagos state Gender based violence team show justice has no respect for rank or title.

If they can met out their justice to average Lagosians for violence against women and youths .The prof should not be exempt.

It's an opportunity to send a loud signal that violence against youths and women by anyone will not be respected.

We are all watching waiting to see what will happen
HealthRe: Isha Sesay, CNN Journalist Commends Nigerian Doctors And Nurses by phineas: 6:34am On Jul 02, 2017
Nigeria health care professionals in clinical practice especially in the public system need commendations again and again. That said they have many areas to improve on.But with the present re our ces they have, they are accomplishing excellent deeds at the cost of great personal sacrifice.

To understand this well one needs to review the VOLUME of cases seen by the average Nigeria public hospital per period of time.and the patient to Dr/Nurses ratio to appreciate their services.

Compare it with the funds they work it.resources available and the stage the cases came in to understand these guys are working magic to keep the system afloat.

An example.A hospital somewhere in Nigeria sees over 6000 delivery cases a year with approximately 5
Doctors.

90%of these cases do not book for antenatal Care. They come in as emergencies.

That means all the team put in lots of extra time to meet up and practically spend their days and nights in the hospital.

Add poor renumeration, abuse at work by superpriors, office politics (johesu refuses to do their work so you carry some part of it so you dont get litigation)and the psychological challenges of not meeting up to family and societies expectations and you start to understand that the medical Doctors in this countries are overworked, underpaid, depressed bunch of persons still trying against all odds

Before you add nurses to this equation,it is true the patient to nurses ratio is also ridiculous and unrealistic which means not all can be done by 2 persons on shift within a short time. But with nursing they don't go the extra mile.

A nurse runs shifts and once their shift is over they are out. They have spaced their shifts to enable adequate resting period for themselves. The buck does not stop at their table so they quick to pass the unsolvable problem and blame (wheter true or not )up the ladder thereby exonerated

In summary there are Still lots of unemployed Medicall persons in Nigeria. The country will do well to train and retrain all these persons

Irresponsible use of social media. This is an example.Seun will do well to use his delete button
