Politics › Re: January 15,1966 Coup: Conversation Between Lt. Col Pam And His Murderers by PHIPEX(m):
I felt pain reading the story, a needless exercise that contributed to what Nigeria is today.

On the other hand, we know that story of hunt will always favour the Hunter. Why Nigeria banned history in schools is to perpetuate half truths like this. History would've have given us a balances account

Self defense is an inalienable right, it's suicidal to do nothing when u can and watch another exterminate your family.

Politics › Re: FG Awards Contract For Niger Bridge by PHIPEX(m): 12:43pm On Jan 11, 2017
Bmcc:
if you are the present president what will you do. continue with the over inflated contract. guys as Nigerian we need to start looking forward rather than backwards. once a contract is stopped and you want to continue you will do what is called re award. hmmm.
Until the govt comes forth with tangible information regarding what they did differently, I'll take it as another election gymnastics. Enough of these old men in power toying with sensitive parts of our lives and thinking they are smart. What assurance do we have that this will not be abandoned again?
Politics › Re: How Nigeria Made Gambian Supreme Court Give Unfavourable Judgement To Jammeh by PHIPEX(m): 12:37pm On Jan 11, 2017
What goes around comes around. Jamey benefited when the country's supreme court had only one judge, now it's turning around to hurt and hunt him.

Can they first explain what happened to the original contract and what makes this one different? Does this govt really think we are daft?

To imagine that someone with this load of venom in the name of insult is actually supposed to be defending the men of God shows the failure of the religious and the educational system, what have you learnt from them? Read your comment again and see if it makes sense to you?

I wanted to engage you in an intellectual discuss but having gone through your posts it's obvious you are too young to understand. Next time learn to be civil in your comments in a public place, if you quote me again with an insult I might be forced to condescend to your level.
Christianity Etc › Re: Systematic Stripping Of The Church Under Buhari By Favour Afolabi by PHIPEX(m): 9:20am On Jan 09, 2017
One thing I know about this law is that it'll reduce the incentive to open new churches as we currently see. I blame the extravagant life style of our pastors for this law. How can you have multiple jets and refuse to pay tax. If they had used these money to help the poor, the masses would have come in their defence in times like this.

Everyone is indifferent because most Nigerian Christians are hungry and whether these pastors stay or leave doesn't affect their bank account
Politics › Re: Sokoto Govt Disbands Hisbah Commission by PHIPEX(m): 12:52pm On Jan 08, 2017
This is the hypocrisy in our country, because they embarrassed you at your daughter's wedding you are disbanding them.

Many poor people must have cried for long over these people but Mr Gov went deaf on their case.

The day Sharia law will be totally eradicated in Nigeria is the day the hand of the child of a govt official is amputated. I know like the case of this overzealous group, God will push one of those Sharia courts to step on a big fat toe.
Politics › Re: Anambra : What Niger Delta States Must Learn From Her by PHIPEX(m):
Great write up but the truth is that it takes someone who is or has been on ground to understand you else they will call it chest beating. Anambra has identified its comparative advantage and it's trying to maximise it. One of the greatest advantage which the state has is abundant indigenous investors and that like some one said earlier is the difference between it and Akwa Ibom.

I have also come to understand that the cultural habit of "Christmas return" is equivalent to repatriation of fund. An average Igbo living elsewhere labours for a year and takes most of his savings home for Christmas and returns to his base empty, that's more like an economic tourism.

The politics of Biafra agitation may not be the best idea for me rather all effort should be geared towards forcing Nigeria to restructure its deceptive federal structure. Thank God for the current "think home" campaign in the state, with sustainable politics, the state will rival Lagos in few years time.

For the ignorant ones that think Easterners are leaving home for lack of opportunity, the East and Lagos has the highest population density in Africa. What the East lack is Land unlike other regions. A plot in my village goes for a million and above, that's higher than most areas in Ikorodu Lagos.

Business › Re: FG Raises Import Duties On Luxury Goods, Food Items That Have Local Alternatives by PHIPEX(m): 7:13am On Jan 03, 2017
Good job, this is the first economic policy of this administration that makes sense to me. Increase price of luxury goods with local alternative and reduce the price of raw materials, the market forces will do the rest.

Politics › Re: Nigerian Government Starts Paying N5,000 Every Month To Poorest Citizens by PHIPEX(m):
This is a formalization of Almajiri system across the country. You can NEVER solve poverty problem by giving out stipends on monthly basis. We are already seeing the negative consequences of states going to Abuja monthly to collect free money thereby perpetuating mental laziness across among state governors. The presidency must be economically daft to think that 5000 monthly will solve any problem, it'll rather lead to further increase in the number of lazy folks who would want to benefit from this reward of laziness. What happens after sharing 5000, are u expecting to make them work harder?

What stops the govt from using that cumulative amount to train these beggers on how to make money, how long will u Pay a 40yr old 5000? Socialist system has never and will never work in a country like ours. I know the target is the North but the truth is that 10yrs from now, the poverty gap between the North and South will double. From free food to free 5k, next will be free house and free wives yet you are borrowing.

Thanks for changing your mind...check your first post you said that you hated everything North and West. As far as going any where u like its your right...you are always welcome...but please quit the hate.
Go back and read my post slowly, I never said Igbos hated North let alone South West.

huptin:
What kinda adventure make u flood the land of people you hate? That looks like an almajiri adventure to me. May we never eat from the table of our enemies. That prayer does not seem to have been answered in your case.
Stop talking out of point, nobody hates anybody and as long as Nigeria remains, people must be free to move and live anywhere. Chinese and Europeans don't come here cos they love us but to conquer opportunities it's noţ cos Nigeria is better than their countries.
Politics › Re: Why Do Most Igbos Passionately Dislike Buhari? by PHIPEX(m): 5:26pm On Jan 02, 2017
I don't think Igbos hate Buhari, they only don't want to relate with him because he is considered a threat to Igbos existence. His Fulani centric approach to issues betrays him too. He has times and again shown his dislike for Igbos wellbeing.

The fact that every Northern leader Nigeria ever had got massive support from the East shows there is something wrong with Buhari. Even Gowon that fought the war is loved but not Buhari.

So is the root of most aspect of western civilization. Ogun, Osun are names of Idols, will any Christian from that state refuse to answer to their states of origin because of the source of the names?

If you don't want to celebrate Christ`s birth, allow us celebrate in Peace. "Whether you eat or drink, do all in the name of Christ"
Education › Re: Girl Laments Over Her Inability To Secure Admission After Scoring 320 In JAMB by PHIPEX(m): 8:19am On Dec 22, 2016
Someone should rescue the dreams of this brilliant girl, I know how depressed she might be right now to have these kind of scores and still denied admission. My JAMB score wasn't this high yet I almost never wrote JAMB again after similar experience. Till date I feel it was tribalism that made the school deny me admission after coming 2nd in Post-UME in the department.

Further evidence to our lack of confidence in

Politics › Re: Buhari’s Homegrown School Feeding Programme Kicks Off In Anambra by PHIPEX(m): 8:08pm On Dec 09, 2016
The gov't wants the kids to eat their future. Give them food and they will thank you for a day but invest in their future by renovating their schools, equipping their library and laboratory, train their teachers and they will thank you for life. Wouldn't it be better to give them free textbooks rather than free food? I had my primary school in Anambra but can't remember any pupil dropping out of school due to hunger. The gov't should give Food to the north and give us quality education; that's what we need not food.

Politics › Re: Cooks Get N54m From FG To Feed Anambra Pupils by PHIPEX(m): 7:47am On Dec 09, 2016
What sort of a wasteful expenditure is this? Most of these public schools are ill equipped and maintained, lack good teachers but the gov't is more interested in another subsidy system that will become a mess in a matter of years to come.
Car Talk › Re: What Would It Take For You To Buy An African Car? by PHIPEX(m): 7:59am On Nov 29, 2016
sultaan:
There is no such thing as African brand.

Innoson and almost all the rest are Chinese Assembled rebadged automobiles.

Just post the pic of the car label by the door frame and let us see the vin number(manufacturer and serial number)

http://global.innosonmotors.com/innoson-vehicle-manufacturing-ivm/

If you want a car made in your name, go to alibaba.com
Look for any car or truck you like
Order the specified minimum or what you need
if you have a special request like changing the grill and light, you can.

Get your import waiver, regular allocation of dollars, line of credit
Then call yourself a manufacturer which could be true by Nigerian standard.
IF your inventory is backed up you can resell your regular dollar allocation to keep business afloat since it is a lot easier to make 40% profit overnight at the parallel market.

The fact is those models are not exclusive so all the badging is removable, there is no engraved manufacturer or model name on any of the trims.
So if you remove the badge on the steering, back and front of the car it will be blank and you can call it anything you like.

If you think Ghana make Katanka, well they are like Innoson too

https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/family-and-commericial-double-use-7_1163937882.html

http://answersafrica.com/cars-made-in-africa.html

I am just stating the facts
Quite easy to sit behind your system and pontificate on how to be a millionaire, same argument some make about Dangote, how it's govt patronage that made him yet thousands of others had same patronage and made nothing. Innoson brand is a success story already and no matter how much you try to demystify it you can't take it away from him. Give honour to whom it's due. There is nothing special about Nairaland but Seun is a genus to have made it possible.

It takes a genus to do what he's doing, even without a fact to back your claim you still think you have all about him figured out.
