Bjrokenhear003: University of Limerick is okay compared to Griffith
First of all the town limerick is quite comfortable and not the hectic of Dublin life, Limerick is affordable in terms of housing compared to Dublin that 2 people will be in a room and paying 560 euros each monthly aside electricity. so how can you concentrate fully on school when bills are at your side.
That's bad of them. NCI is better then....my classes are twice a week. Sometimes three times if you have research methods classes to attend and that's the max. They are very organized there.
UL in terms of education, i guess its not a private school which means they aren't out for profit. In Griffith it is pure profit, i had one friend who wrote a paoer and they claimed she failed, she had to force them to present her script and she calculated the marks, it was 51 but was scored 39.
The profit part also comes to play when a college like Griffith will grant an individual with no IT background to study Computer science, isnt that wickedness, that said individual will struggle to pass. It will now become very difficult to graduate. The sad part of it is on their website they said only 35 to 40 people will be in a classroom. To your surprise, it is above 75, how will they be proper engagement with the lecturer.
The last part is the college doesn't care, some people come to college on Saturdays, during my time i came to college first semester Monday - Friday and some days Saturdays. Is that proper, changing timetables and classrooms. Even the lecturers complain bitterly.
My last 3 paragraph spoke more on the standard of education, is it like that in UL. My friend in DIT have classes twice weekly, isn't that's how a masters program should be run. WE no longer undergraduates
I can go on and on |

Blondekid: Hello guys...Good morning. I will like to make an enquiry concerning appeals. If one got a refusal letter on the 29th of September and is to appeal during the 3rd week in October, will it be necessary to print out new statement of accounts for the sponsor and the applicant? Depends on your refusal reason. |

2019elections: Good afternoon house! I have a bsc in petroleum and petrochemical science and I wish to go for a PGD in data analytics. I'm optimistic that I would be offered the admission but my concern is " since I don't av a prior education in ICT related field, and no work experience as regards that, won't I have any issue during visa application? " No you won't have issues if you package yourself well. You should be able to write a convincing statement of purpose and also your CV should have a current job relating to the course. What I'm currently studying now is entirely different from my first degree. |

Tolu1411: No study leave letter? Or anything to state you’re coming back? Or rather what documents did you use to prove strong ties. I was refused and I’m trying to understand why and look through my documents What's your refusal reason?. During my application, I made sure I pointed out that I will be returning back home for one reason or another. I also submitted a Visa application letter where I made a declaration that I will come back after the completion of my study. |

Blondekid: 1. Please who will the letter of Appeal be addressed to? Will it be the Abuja Embassy or the address in the screenshot attached.
2. What is the expected time taken to get a response after an appeal?
3. Asides the letter of appeal, will a new statement of interest be needed together with other supporting documents? 1. Address the letter to the visa appeal officer in Abuja. 2. How fast you will get a response depends on your reason for refusal. I have seen responses in a week and I have also seen one of five weeks. If your case is straight forward then you might get a swift response. 3. I don't think you need statement of interest unless stated in the refusal. Just ensure all reason for refusal is addressed in the letter with supporting documents.. when sending your appeal through UPS, ensure the package is addressed to Visa appeal officer so that it will be swiftly moved to the appropriate office on arrival. Remember it's an appeal not a fresh application. |

Nonso16: Maybe my question wasn't CLEAR. I meant is it safe to pay with My card? Because The school attached a link on my admission letter to which I can select my payment type and there are only two payment options. Which are.
Bank Transfer Atm card.
Note : Not even the school's bank details is on my admission offer or so. Go to the bank with your invoice, passport and offer letter. They know what to do. |

wickyyolo: Can i raise such money in a month if i work ? Yes you can but have it in your mind that you will not be able to work between 2-3 month after your arrival here because you need to sort out immigration stuffs first before working if not it's illegal and can lead to deportation if caught. So, make sure you have enough money for 2-3 month upkeep when coming. |

Solomonx: So 12th of July isn't still early enough? This is simply gross incompetence on their part to be honest. To think that I still used an education bond to make the process faster just annoys me. I let a 50% fee scholarship from Teesside University go because i was chasing the "Irish dream". NCI gave an extension to the 21st so if they don't respond this week then I've wasted money for nothing. Sad, very sad I am going to NCI too. I think if you resume late, you would carry on with your studies but your date of graduation will be extended so you cover up next September what you will miss this September. Their business courses are delivered in block modules. What ever you miss now would be done next year. That's what I understand from the information given by Michael Galvin. |

vkyburnz: Hmm....Question? How does UK handle over 100,000+ study visa applications from Nigeria alone during peak periods and still maintain Three Weeks Turnaround period?
It's not funny. Some here have received deferral notice from school programme coordinators to forego starting programme this September as lectures have already begun.
Possible Implications? • another €500 deferral charge • €180 insurance wasted (will have to be purchased again) • €400 booking charges for residence possibly gone (admin charges will come in where refund is possible) • possible 10% admin charges for fees paid during refund • possible N46, 950 visa fees wasted • wasted One Year (huge and impacts ones goals/progress) • emotional trauma & pains • etc..etc..etc...etc
Either this is deliberate or a case of gross incompetence. Either way, we bear the brunt and the losses/pains that comes with these frustrating delays and screwed up visa process!!!
Saying as it is... You have raised valid questions and I understand you bro...... currently I think it's just eight visa officer that attends to visa application and also remember that some African countries visa application are proccessed here in naija. My international officer was the one who mentioned that so many application have been moved to Dublin for processing ( those that submitted around middle of July). That's why you're advised to submit very early before resumption date to allow time for any eventualities. |

My advice for those that are yet to receive their visa is to be patient and optimistic. This is peak period for the Irish embassy in Abuja right now and they do not have many visa officers. Many applications has been moved to Dublin for processing especially those that sumitted late. |
