Edusouls: so much advices just to get ladies behave well and be able to secure a man's interest, it is very unfortunate that the african woman dosent have the nessacary skills naturaly endowed to women to keep a man. their very stiff, nagging and unloving nature scares many men away' they should go and learn from the white ladies how to love a man..cos i can see they lack those vital skills badly.. very true. They see themselves as appendages of men They even see the products of the marriage as yours ,, your kid, how do you expect me to feed your child However they hav all the tools to really be independent but still want to keep latching ... then they foam when you dont take them serious due to this Like a chick afraid to leave the egg shell |

crackhaus: Actually, he's right...
Read up on the history and advent of spousal support, it was set-up to assist women in the days when they were mostly housewives and did not work like their male counterparts.
Also, I don't think anyone blames the ladies for the laws - they just want it admitted that the law does favour women. Maybe they will understand finally as you explained it Women ...eating cake and having it since 6000 BC |

ArewaSweetheart: Lol. Says who?
My point is why do you guys ignorantly make it seem like the ladies are to blame for the existence of these divorce laws that mosttimes favour them? I sincerely dont see how it is the woman's fault that the law favours her as against her spouse after a divorce.
In nigeria where the reverse is the case(that is to say the nigerian marriage act is kinda tilted to favour the man in most instances), you never hear women encourage the cold-blooded murder of abused/divorced wives or attempt to rationalize whatever heinous crime they commit against their spouse.
There4, the proper entity you guys need to channel your anger to shouldnt be the victimised/dead wives, but the authority that set up these laws. Your short circuited approach of thinking is the dilemma here...sadly shared by a lot of the other female posters A tragedy was posted Someone said he may have snapped as a result of potential loss of assets occasioned by western divorce laws Suddenly you lot jumped on it calling it justification for murder. What if he was just plain old wicked or a mental case That's what this forum is for Debating positions As per your second paragraph Until you women accept that this is the era of equality and you should not be waiting for a payday in the event a marriage does not work out, those laws will not change cos they favour your arsês Working _---------------------check Living in a paid for home -------check Monthly checks coming in------- check Making life hell for ex hubby ------double check Those laws will not change... ArewaSweetheart: Unfortunately its not for you or i to decide what the solution should be. Thus, your wish/suggestion will not change the status quo already in place, neither can it bring back a comeback of the ancient patriachal lordship reign. Your post has no correlation to my point Read. Women using marriage as payday has roots in the notion that they were helpless or nothing outside the marriage institution It Is not so anymore You lot r empowered Why are vu still marking time waiting for the loot of marriage carefreewannabe: Have a lovely day! carefreewannabe: You are welcome.
But I must say that you are often gender biased too. You could say that..it may or maynot be true.... no need to argue Its an opinion which you are entitled to |

carefreewannabe: You are right but let us not deceive ourselves, a great number of women demands money from men even when dating, then a bride price is paid and then many men are expected to pay the bills all by themselves..This is also part of the reality. There are those hard working women who contribute and even though they do, are guests in their own houses and there are those who consider it the man's responsibility to pay for all bills, before and after marriage. Thanks for ur honesty I don't understand how gender bias can make people see white and call it black. |

I do not support women doing nothing HOWEVER I acknowledge some were strongarmed to stay at home and they deserve to spousal support
No blanket statements on How women are lazy OK I never disagreed with your second statement Not all are strong armed I never made any blanket statement You said I did just like an explanation of rationale was interpreted by some as murder justification |

You said a woman who has a brain & two legs should not sit @ home amongst others...
I do not support a woman not working but If a husband demands his wife stops work or he sends her parking, will I blame her If she stays
While condemning the marriage officers(they are quite a number in diverse manners), acknowledge there are some unfortunate ones
It makes the posts fresh to the eyes Once again it us not your job to interprete my posts Make your points You Also dont support women doing nothing yet go about interpreting posts... I don't even know wat point u r making |

Justfollowit: Inasmuch I am also totally against using divorce as a means of get rich quick, you have failed to consider how difficult it would be for divorcees who were full-time wives to get back into the job market. If the law could step in, we will have less to worry about. Finally a honest female So is the solution a throwback to patriarchal days when men were overlords Now women can work No one should have to sacrifice their career to sit home doing nothing If the man changes you lose everything |

Pick calls women who stay at home lazy yet will advice a wife to stay at home If her husband demands so Woman Don't interpret my words for me..picking my words out of context A woman who stays at home to take care of the home front is making sacrifices for her family since she made the decision jointly with her partner A woman who sees marriage as an office and is waiting for a payday in the event of a divorce is lazy Try and see the big picture Do you understand |

meaning if all this had not happened, he could have come back to ask for course reg fee, faculty fee etc
If a 300l student does not know the meaning of exclusive & inclusive, then he ought not to be there in the first place
Let him upload the original bank teller!!
Hope you have seen what ferguson wrote about EDS & no penalty fee for late payment

ArewaSweetheart: Poisoning any individual for whatever reason is a crime. Just as killing anyone is a crime Nothing new you said there However, with regards to bankruptcy arising from divorce, do blame the Law that gave room for such & not the innocent lady pls. The lady was not the one that drafted the said law, neither was she the one that enacted same. Remember also that there are still instances wherein the law favoured the man as against the wife when it came to child support in the divorce. It all depends on the circumstance of the case in issue & who has a better counsel. The law may be wicked but people also use this law also if the law was not used or needed, it will have been repealed SOmeone is benefitting from it.. hence it will stay\ |

He mentioned 36K for scholl fees See this post below Ikanium: School Fees is 36,000
Hostel and mattress and bunk 18,000
Other dues 4,000
Food 3,000 nannymcphee: the breakdown he gave you isn't correct, the total will be 36k, he never mentioned 36k in this thread!!
secondly why didn't he state it here that it was 26k with an additional 5k late payment fee?
he also said that it was for school fees exclusively?
where did he get money to pay for course registration?
he should kindly upload the bank teller used in paying into the bank and the official school receipt (for the school fees and the late payment fine)
Infact he should also include the receipt for the entrepreneurial dev studies payment
in my school days, you take the teller and printout to the bursary unit and you will be issued a receipt. |
