U can use one EOI to express interest for several visa sub-classes you're qualified for. Thats what I did.

debsty:
Hello All,

I have a question for the house in addition to the one I had before . I read the below on the Australia website;

How many Expressions of Interest can I submit?

There is no limitation on how many Expressions of Interest you can submit in SkillSelect. However, you must be able to provide evidence on all the claims you have made to achieve your points score. If you do not accept your invitation we cannot guarantee that you will receive another invitation.
http://www.border.gov.au/Lega/Lega/Form/Immi-FAQs/how-many-eois-can-i-submit

Has anyone tried to put in two EOIs before, i.e submit for 189 and 190 at the same time? Kindly share

You only need to select in your EOI some states (like NSW), then you will be invited to apply for state sponsorship. Check the link below for state links where you will get all information regarding state sponsorship.

Oga Bellong,

Thanks a lot for your input. At what step do one apply for State Sponsorship? Is it when she has been positively assessed by VETASSES?

Bro, please I am still expecting your mail.

NNBB2012:

I strongly plead with you to look for the money and include them in your application at once. You will even benefit more by bringing them with you. Your children would be entitled to Tax benefits right from day one that they enter Australia, although this is subject to income. We are talking about roughly 1500AUD per fortnights. You could actually recoup the money within 1 month of their arrival. Applying separately for them could take longer time than necessary. So, be guided accordingly.

Yes, you can edit your EOI after submission, but note that the date of effect of your EOI will change when you make changes that increase/decrease your points. Date of effect is the date your EOI is deemed submitted.

I got a positive assessment result from ICAA using only ICAN. There are a lot of study materials for IELTS on the internet; google and download Target Band 7.

Someone on this thread tried with BSc accounting alone and got a negative assessment. It's possible that s/he did not provide a detailed syllabus, hence the negative result.

You can go ahead like NNBB2012 advised, but make sure you provide a detailed syllabus, because they need to know the contents of your courses.
opa4pr:

Thanks Oga ferdi. Yea, Accounting is still very much in the CSOL list. I do not have ICAN yet, i read through and discovered only First degree is not sufficient to get good assessment.
Could there be an exception? I checked the Units required for Management Accountant and Accountant general, my transcript contained all the mandatory and the optional ones.
"Mandatory (you must have successfully completed these courses)
Accounting Systems and Processes
Financial Accounting
Management Accounting
Accounting Theory
Optional (you must have successfully completed at least 5 of the above listed courses)
Finance
Auditing
Commercial Law
Economics
Quantitative Methods
Information Systems Design and Development
Taxation Law
Company Law"

Has any one had a positive assessment with only 9ja Bachelors degree without ACCA,ICAN or work experience?
Thanks.

Next step is to get your qualifications assessed. Do you have an accounting professional qualification like ICAN, ACCA etc? I doubt if only first degree in accounting will suffice.

Nope, one doesnt need to have a job offer for NSW sponsorship, but the nominated occupation must be on the state's occupation list.
chuckdee13:
Congrats!!!!! Seems for ur nominated occupation the state doesn't need u to have a job first or NSW doesn't need u to have a job first before they nominate u. That's really cool.

Immigration is not for everybody that is what people must come to terms with in Nigeria and in the world. Someone in Australia or in Nigeria can't advice you on that. Some pple get professional jobs within a month, 2months, 6months and some never get. Some pple can live abroad for 5years and still feel like they left Nigeria last week, while some will be frustrated and depressed barely 3months on landing.
You need to ask yourself what you want in life and do you achieve them in the most favourable way to You and only You?
NO ONE ON ANY FORUM IN THE WORLD WILL DECIDE YOUR PATH. They all post personal experiences nd personal indeed they are.
Indians for instance set the pace for their own depression, when they leave India and intend living in an Indian community in Oz, house share by Indians, live beside Indian stores and temples, infact an Indian extension. This is perceived as an act of sociological security by them, when in actual fact they have just caged themselves in its evasive illusion. some Nigerians tread this path.
YOU MUST ACCEPT AND EMBRACE THE CULTURE OF WHERE YOU ARE GOING TO INORDER TO LIVE A NORMAL LIFE, IF NOT ONE IS BETTER OF IN HIS/HER HOME COUNTRY.

Yes, accountants can assess only their qualifications and if deemed equivalent, qualify for PR visa.
ferdimako:

Do you mean accountants can assess only their qualifications and if deemed equivalent... are qualified for PR visa application? I mean if the person can deal without points from work experience or without work experience at all or where evidence of work experience isn't available.

Congratulations on ur 190 nomination.
Travel / Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by pingu2k5(m): 10:20pm On Jul 01, 2015
ICAA assessed only some of my post-qualification experience as relevant, which is not up to 3 years, so I'm not claiming points for experience. I opted for visa 190 and got NSW nomination.

If you can provide evidence (reference, payslip, etc) of your work experience, you can as well apply for it to be assessed. The difference in fees between a combo assessment (qualifications + experience) and a skills assessment (just qualification) is $100 i.e. $550 against $450. In my case, I couldn't provide some evidence as one of the companies I worked for has been liquidated.

Read this link: http://www.charteredaccountants.com.au/The-Institute/Migration-assessment/FAQs-Migration-Assessment/FAQs-Work-experience-assessment.aspx

Wish you all the best with your assessmemt.
angelllla:
Well done to everyone making out time to share information here.

@ Pingu2k5 Did you claim points for work experience? I have about 6 years work experience, however, I just got qualified last year. I have decided to do my assessment with ICAA but I am scared as I do not know if they will recognize my pre-qualification work experience(seeing that the Accounting BSc alone usually doesn't cut it with all the assessing authorities).
Travel / Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by pingu2k5(m): 7:30pm On Jun 28, 2015
You only need one letter of good standing and u can get that same day you apply at the Island office. You should be able to get the transcripts within a week, all things being equal, at the Oyingbo office.

I got my Police clearance same day for N5k at Police headquarters, Alagbon, Ikoyi. You will need to get a police clearance for every migrating dependent that is 16 years or older.

I will call you.

Thanks again.my first degree was in accounting .however, I will still like to include my Ats transcript along with that for I CAN .
if the trNscript can be got at onyigbo for both ats and PE, and will be ready within the week? How long will it take for letter of good standing?
Can one letter of good standing cover both AAT and ACA ?

I will like to go to onyigbo tomorrow that's why I am asking plenty questions. Pls pardon me.

Travel / Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by pingu2k5(m): 12:17pm On Jun 28, 2015
Same price as the professional exam transcript. I paid N7,500 each for the ATS and PE transcripts, but I think it's N10,000 each now.

Below are the requirements stated on ICAN website (http://icanig.org/ican/article.php?id=27):
• Written application indicating destination of transcripts. Applicants phone numbers must be included.
• Payment of processing fee of N10,000 (make a pay direct at any commercial bank in Nigeria
• Photocopy of AAT/ICAN Certificate (for members only).
• Photocopy of exemption certificate (if applicable).
• Photocopies of passed results.
• One recent passport photograph.
• Duplicate copy of receipt of payment/teller.
• Applicant is to pay all indebtedness (i.e membership/student Annual Subscription/Development levy) before transcript is processed.

Please note that my first degree was not in accounting. If you have BSc accounting and the courses exempted for you by ICAN were covered in your undergraduate studies and you can provide your undergraduate syllabus, then you may not need to stress yourself with ATS.

My advice: Get any evidence u can to back up your application.

samuelokwu:

Hello pingu2k5
Tanks for the info . I also went through ATS .
Please how much did you pay for your A AT transcript?
Are there other requirements I must submit to get it.
Please I will appreciate every information you can give because I will be going to onyigbo offices on Monday morning.
Thanks

Travel / Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by pingu2k5(m): 6:10pm On Jun 27, 2015
1. Yes, please. I also did ATS. I submitted both my ATS transcript and professional exams transcript to ICAA. Before my assessment was concluded, I was asked the basis for the exemptions, which I replied it's the ATS. I also submitted ATS syllabus.

2. ICAA requires members of professional institutes to provide a letter of good standing from their institute. I'm not sure the other assessing bodies require this. It takes nothing to get this from ICAN so long as there is no outstanding annual subcription payment.

chookudi:
Please i need a bit of info..
1. For the courses that were exempted on the ICAN transcript, is it necessary to submit the corresponding ATS result?
2. Is it also necesssary/compulsory to submit letter of good standing?

I ask all these because all we are armed with are the ICAN transcripts and syllabus which will be added to the Bsc accounting transcripts and certificate (which earlier returned a negative assessment).

Your advice will be highly appreciated

Thanks a lot Pingu 2k5.
Please when did you qualify?
I qualified in 2007 November.
Please did u use ICAA as your assessing body?

Also is you assessment result out ?

Travel / Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by pingu2k5(m): 5:42am On Jun 27, 2015
Oyingbo office. Within a week. You can print your results from ICAN's website. If you can't get the results, I believe they will still treat. You'll get the letter of good standing from the Island office. Also try to get the syllabus that was effective when you wrote the exams.

samuelokwu:
Hello linguistics2k5
Please how long did it take you to get your transcript from ICAN?
ALso which of their offices did you go to( onyigbo or island)?
Lastly what if I cannot find my individual exam result slips, can they treat without them?

Please help with the answer
