It's about time people normalise calling Joshua Kimmich the best midfielder in the world. Heck, the best player in the world at the moment. My man came up clutch again yesterday with a legit contender for goal of the season. Only golazos, no tap-ins. His consistency is unrivalled, despite the fact that no player has played more games in all competitions in the last 2 seasons in European football. Man's doing it in the toughest seasons ever under the most demanding conditions with zero load management and still maintaining his excellent standards. Baba still had time to make one more baby in the midst of all these madness I stan a LEGEND.Josh is the only player in the world that can lay a legitimate claim to being the best in two different positions. Lewy will score all the goals and get all the plaudits. Rightfully so, but JK remains the most valuable player in this Bayern side. |
![]() I'm here for the tears Like someone said, you people should channel your anger and frustration to the #EndSars protest. We will be needing plenty of it as people don dey lose focus. But make una no go too far, cos we know say una get agbero blood.Any how, Up bluus!! *breaks bottle* |
airmark:This gif gets me every fuccking time I'm like WTF is he thinking?! Ramos and Pepe wey craze sef no do reach this one. Boateng na weyrey aswear! |
Thomas Partey on his tattoo of his own face: "I believe everyone on earth is a god. I believe if i'm a god to myself, it is important i choose my own decisions and make everything work for me on my own way". This is what OtemAtum has been saying all this while. But most people choose to mock him. Thomas Partey appears to be one 'deep' individual. |
airmark:I'm not taking any sides here, bro. I'm just shocked that both of you would resort to trading heavy curses. I don dey watch una two for long and i don notice the strong tension wey dey between you guys. But e never reach to dey to curse una selves like this. Make una stop abeg. |
Airmark and iamoyindamola, see as una dey gberayin shepe? Na wa o! |
One person talk say if you manage dodge or escape where Armed Robbers dey, you come see SARS for front, you go run back go meet those armed robbers Funny but sad. |
Bunsenbun:Guy, just shut the fucck up! Seeing you make excuses for those beasts makes me sick to my stomach. If you don't have anything sensible to say, just shut the fucck up for Christ sake!! |
Unlimited22:God bless you, man. I was just about saying the same thing. |
Roland17:Permit me to say, you are a bit out of touch with the realities on our roads. Anyone who has ever had an encounter with those animals won't downplay the importance of these protests. This is a battle for the lives of the Nigerian youth. Our survival and very existence is being threatened by the actions of this killer squad. It's bad enough that the government has failed us, do we now have to suffer at the hands of those meant to protect us? Na persin wey dey alive dey protest unemployment and corruption. I'm fairly certain that the #EndSars movement would grow in strength and serve as a stepping stone for further agitations. |
Page 1000!! I don dey use one eye dey track this thread. I'm always missing out on these landmark pages. But not this time. I waz 'ere, baby! But, omo this thread slow sha. But at least e fast pass our own ![]() |
usbcable:LOL. Watching football can be so stressful at times. Especially when there is a lot on the line. I know wetin my eye see for last season final vs PSG. It got to a point i had to leave the room to save my heart. I no enjoy that match a bit. Na neutrals dey enjoy final. I don't know how i would have coped if Bayern had lost that match. Considering how well we played to get to the final, a loss would have been so damaging. |
haymekus:Yeah, i thought that was obvious He is one of the 'cleanest' players you will ever see. You won't believe this guy didn't make a single foul in 6 of the 8 CL games he played last season. At CB! The guy is an anomaly when it comes to defenders. |
popizaino:Lahm na Baba. Chairman went over a year without commiting a FOUL in the Bundesliga at one time. Mad! Alaba na another one. He went over 100 games spanning almost 4 years without picking up a yellow card. Last season, he had zero cards despite playing majority of his games at CB. Those guys should be canonized. Meanwhile, we have people like Ramos Even attackers like Ronaldo and Neymar dey chop red season in season out. |
Big ups to Brazzo and Kalle for finally coming through in the mercato. 4 players in the final 48 hrs of the window. All out of nowhere. So we landed this Portuguese kid Tiago Dantas from Benfica. Technically gifted and extremely talented, i hear. Loan with option to buy for 8m. Hope he turns out to be another Brazzo masterclass like Phonzie. |
Nikiballer:Yes, I'm a proud Chelsea fan Olodo. This one no even be matter of banter. Guy, you talk too much shyte. Just go siddon somewhere lick your Aston Villa-inflicted wounds. |
This day will live long in everyone's memory. October 4, what a day! |
Wey that Nikiballer pest wey dey always come here to talk trash? Shame no go allow show. And to think say the ediot dey mock Scummies say dem chop 6. E no know say him own dey come ![]() |
Mehn, that was one helluva of a game! Why do we like making things difficult for ourselves these days? Lewy, take a bow. Best player in the world, you already know. I dey look Alaba with one kain eye sha. |
Elnino4ladies:The man is a tactical genius but a terrible manager. He's been known to play his players till they drop. Na starting his teams get, dem no get finishing. He is also too hands-on and authoritarian. He regularly falls out with players and club officials. Have you wondered why he hasn't coached any top club? He is a principled guy and believes things should be done his way. In today's football world, no top club would ever cede you that much freedom. Controversy follows him everywhere he goes. That Baba comes with too much baggage. Persin wey take Lazio job, resign the next day. They don't call him 'El Loco' for nothing. |
Chai. I just remembered Choupo-Moting can also play as a winger. His time at Stoke comes to mind. I just hope he doesn't turn out to be the 4th winger if the Hudson-Odoi deal falls through. |
Former PSG striker and free agent Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting is set to sign for Bayern Munich according to L'Equipe. Hardly exciting news but he is a decent back-up for Lewy. Brazzo working overtime! |
After taking forever, we finally have a new signing! Yess! Marc Roca from Espanyol. Given our previous links with him, i'm suspecting this was Brazzo's last card. Like at all at all, naim bad pass. Not the signing we were hoping for after losing Thiago but we will take anyone after this nearly-disastrous transfer window. Now let's go get Hudson-Odoi and that RB. |
andrewbaba44:He's had a rough start to life at Bayern with injuries and lack of game time. But he is one hell of a defender. I fully expect him to 'blow' this season if he stays fit. The French Maldini thing is just a reference to his strong defensive abilities and the fact that they both play the same LB/CB position. We also call Alaba the Black Beckenbauer. It's nothing serious. |
Lucas Hernandez is fast becoming my second favorite Bayern player. Another masterclass from the French Maldini yesterday. First to every ball and winning duels all over the pitch. A pure, old-school stopper. No be that greedy false '4' wey dey masquerade as CB. It was also good to see him work on his ball-playing skills and try bringing it out from the back. If he can improve on that aspect of his game, then we have a MONSTER on our hands. Alaba has a battle on his hands to win back that LCB spot. He had better stop asking for more money and concentrate on getting back to his best. |
Their fada!! JK breaking BVB hearts again! Where would we be without this guy? |
Omo, we are monumentally fuccked! This starting 11 na die. I don't even know what to expect. Bench sef na ogbonge. We will be needing all the luck we can get today. |
Hoffenheim avenging last season's 0-6 loss. Former Bayern II manager and nephew to Don Ulli, Seb Hoeness beating former Hoffenheim manager Flick. These scripts write themselves. The unbeaten(33) and winning(23) streak was fun while it lasted. DFB Super Cup v BVB on Wednesday, we move. |
The Bayern board have blood on their hands. This squad is so depleted, it's actually shameful. Kalle and Brazzo have refused to bring in players in a season where we are expected to play 3 every days. Losing players and not replacing them. God forbid i blame Flick and the players. They are not machines. Imagine starting a game only 2 days after playing a gruelling 120 mins against Sevilla in the Super Cup. It's only a matter of time before they start dropping like flies. Players like Coman and Sane no go even last half season. You know you are in trouble when your attacking options off the bench are 17 yr old Musiala and 19 yr old Zirkzee. The last time we got hammered like this, changes were made. Maybe this defeat is what Kalle and Brazzo need to get their heads in order. |
Imagine my shock at just finding out that Andre Schurrle is now a retired football player. At 29. I still don't know how i missed the news. The guy can be proud of his career however short. Won the EPL with Chelsea and who could forget his supersub exploits with Germany at Brazil 2014, including that assist for Gotze's goal in the final. Decent winger with an eye for goal. Injuries really dealt him cruel blows towards the end of his career. So sad. |
Oh Thiago Silva! Oh Thiago Silva! ![]() |
airmark: To be fair, that headline doesn't tell the whole story. The actual gist was that a friend proposed a bet that if Bayern won the CL, Boateng would dye his hair purple and he clearly accepted the bet as a joke. Some kind of twisted, double-bluff mind game. |
