Oxycodone, Promethazine, Fentanyl, Percocets, . . abi? Guy, just stop it. You just mentioned Future and the late Juice WRLD. I listen to their music as well but I'm smart and cautious not to get influenced by it. Juice still remains one of my favorite artistes. A gifted, sweet soul whose star was cut short at a very young age. I'm sure you know he passed away last December from seizures induced by drug overdose. Barely a week after his 21st birthday. That boy was headed for the very top.

Juice's battle with angst, heartbreak and depression was the major reason behind his drug use and a big part of his music. He was open about his struggles and you could see that he genuinely wanted to stop. But unfortunately, he lost the battle.

Future's motive is less humanely. He was just about the cheddar. The man built an entire career on this shyte. You could argue he was only telling his life story growing up as a drug dealer but man, did he milk that shyte. Mixtapes, albums. An entire discography of drug-fuelled odes. I learned more about opiods listening to Future than all my years studying Chemistry in high school

I remember Juice and Future working on that WRLD on Drugs mixtape. Juice actually told him the first time they met that he was the one who inspired him to take lean at a young age. Future was shocked and could only apologize. After Juice's death, Future confessed to having a burden of guilt about what happened. Like he feels responsible in a way. Future himself has been secretly clean for years but still continued making music along that same line.

Taking drugs doesn't make you hip or cool. Most of today's youth indulge in drug abuse because they want to 'feel among'. Hip Hop's glorification of this scourge also hasn't helped matters. There is nothing beneficial about doing drugs. Only a few minutes of euphoria and a lifetime of agony.
