We are all witnessing a masterclass in amala-turning today Chef Nihilist taking on the master himself, the one with the magic omorogun, Pa Ramuzaki The techniques and styles at work here, mehn. I troway salute. Shey the yam flour na go finish like this? After all the turning, na who go provide the ewedu and gbegiri? Stay tuned ![]() |
nihilistjnr:It's possible. Isn't Hazard more popular than Carvajal, Navas and even Benzema? I'm not trying to discredit Hazard's FifPro's achievements. I'm only saying these things are not so sure-and-tested. The only reason Hazard is rated above Bale is because the latter doesn't get to play as much and perform as well as the former owing to constant injuries. I no forget that nonsense you talk about how Hazard dey the same talent level as Messi and Ororo. The blasphemy! |
nihilistjnr:Everyone and their dog knows Bale has had more than his fair share of injuries over the last couple of years. How is he supposed to compete with Hazard on a regular basis when half the time he is either injured or working his way back to full fitness? His most injury-free season was unsurprisingly his best season individually. The FiFPro is just a glorified popularity contest. We both know that it's not always the true measure of a player's quality. Please tell me how many FIfPro XI appearances Suarez has to his name, even at a time when he was the best striker in the world. Don't forget to tell me how many Busquets has, and the number of times legends like Pirlo and Lahm made the first team. Votes from fellow players from Zimbabwe, Kyrgyzstan, Samao Islands and Tahiti, and people are surprised Dani Alves keeps making the team. The UEFA Team of the year is not so different. It is voted for by UEFA.com users at the end of the year. Anyone with an internet connection can hijack the process ![]() I repeat, a fit Bale is on the same level as Hazard. |
nihilistjnr:Yes, only that Bale won both awards in the same season, with lesser talented teammates and without even winning the league! Levels! It was only when Bale left that Hazard won his first and only PFA player of the year award. I don't know know what you are getting at ![]() |
nihilistjnr:Taa!! He did win the PFA player of the year and PFA young player of the year in the same fvcking season. At least Hazard had a fantastic supporting cast in Azpi, Fab, Kante and Costa. Na who Bale get?? Shey na past his prime Lennon, Adebayor or abi Huddlestone. Wasn't it after they sold him that they bought Eriksen, Alli, Lamela dem and Kane made a step up to the first team. Put Bale in this current Spurs team and let's see if he won't win anything with them. A fully fit and firing Gareth Bale is as good as Neymar, Hazard and Griezmann if not better. |
nihilistjnr:But Bale don follow dem Kaboul, Huddlestone, Livermore play and the guy still prove himself. Neymar sef don follow Fred, Paulinho, Ramires and Luiz Gustavo These players aren't exactly world class also. |
liveLongNprospa:Is this an official statement proclaiming Real as the best team in the world? Rankings are what you choose to make of them. They are not entirely wrong and they are not entirely correct. I could as well say Gremio or Boca Juniors are the best teams in the world if any of those teams were topping the South American version of this ranking. The fact remains there is no universally accepted, definite, absolute fact unequivocally stating Real Madrid as the best team in the world. |
monerozi5590:Errm, come again, sir ![]() Here's the official UEFA Champions League squad of the season for your viewing pleasure ![]() https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/news/newsid=2560100.html Is there any irrefutable piece of information or fact supporting your claim of Real indisputably being the best team in the world. There are facts and there are opinions. France are the current World Champions. Arsenal FC has zero CL titles to their name. Those are facts. Show me any link or organisation officially stating Real as the best team on the planet. The FIFA Club World Cup doesn't count ![]() So because Eden Hazard states his personal opinion, we should all take it as the gospel. I've spent a bit of time on this thread since yesterday and una Madridistas dey fall hand. |
monerozi5590:You didn't type all these with a straight face, did you? Nothing you say will change the fact that those were fluke goals. Forever remembered, not for Benzema's brilliance but for the stupidity and folly of the goalkeepers involved. Karius alone sealed his place in football infamy with that gaffe. You say he made the list as a result of his performances in the CL. Hahaha, Benzema couldn't even make the official UEFA CL squad of the season! He wouldn't even get into a Top 5 list of Real's best performers in the CL last season. Kroos and Navas were all more instrumental in Madrid winning the CL. Imagine a striker starting for arguably the best team in the world scoring a grand total of 10 goals in a season. They said it was Ororo who was holding him back. Baba don comot now and Benzema is still the same guy he has always been. |
Omorogun in hand Nihilist no go kill pesin.I don hear one person talk say he sabi turn amala with one finger ![]() |
monerozi5590:OK. So because he scored one non-fluke goal and a fluke goal against Bayern and another fluke goal against Liverpool He deserves to be on that list , abi? Because the reasons wey your fellow Madridista give no make sense to me. |
Miremoses1:Ogbeni, no even give me that one! France Football for kuku put everybody wey dey Madrid roster on that list. Deserving players like Navas and Kroos were missing from that list but thanks to some fluke goals against Bayern and Liverpool, someone who flopped heavily and is still flopping currently made the list. Even Benzema wouldn't put his name on that list. Benzema had the worst year in his career and he still made the list. Imagine the shock! |
Abeg, how did Benzema make that Ballon D'or list cos I no understand. Was it the lucky goals he scored against Bayern and Liverpool cos there is no logical explanation for him making that list. |
So no Bayern Munich player made the 30-man list for this year's Ballon D'or. France Football are just as mad as FIFA. Aguero and Mandzukic makes the list but there is no room for Lewy. Na Benzema wey dey the list burst my brain pass. James should also be on that shortlist if it's truly for the best performers this year. JK with 6 goals and 27 assists this calendar year alone should be a no-brainer. All the guys at France Football are all mad. |
Hummels while not entirely blameless was not at fault for BMG's second goal. No one is even blaming Thiago, the guy who gave away the ball in such a dangerous position to begin with. Thiago dropped deep to pick up the ball, Hummels shifted out to the left side of defence from where Alaba had already pushed up. How many times have we seen that move happen. That's our standard buildup play. If Thiago had not lost the ball, there wouldn't be any problem. The only place where Hummels fvck up na that casual, halfhearted attempt to defend. The guy just raise hand without actually attempting to win the ball. Our players are very guilty of doing that. That was how Thiago escorted Saul that year. Why not just try to win the ball first and let the referee decide if there was truly contact or not. |
omotayos01:This was supposed to be the season we weaned off Robbery. I wasn't expecting anything more than a bit part role for those. I believe Kovac wasn't planning on using them that much but the injury to Coman forced his hand. Na Ribery dey vex me pass. The geezer go dey play nonsense, if dem comot am he go dey vex. And Kovac sef go come dey explain, I'm like WTF? Those 2 have given us a lot over the years but it's time to leave. I know Gnabry has fitness issues but the boy should be playing more minutes. I'm not so sure he's Bayern quality but I would take him over today's Ribery. |
Unlimited22:I don hear o. FYI, i never said the BuLi was competitive. No dey mix me up with someone else. Come o, na me you talk say dey bleat . If I take out the kain frustration wey dey my body on top you ehn. . |
I hope all of dem wey dey shout Bayernliga dey see na. Na fifth Bayern dey for table. |
If Kovac survives this international break, make e go do Thanksgiving for church. I don't even know what to say. The players are also not free of blame. Abject performances all round. The last time this happened, someone got sacked the following day. But there is no obvious quality replacement out there. Shey na Hassenhuttl abi na Don Jupp we go call again? |
Na who we offend so? |
nihilistjnr:You no like the guy at all. I still remember those your World Cup yarns on top am And to imagine say one of our Bayern fans dey recommend am say make we buy am last season. |
See wetin Kovac don turn us to. Bayern getting outplayed by phucking Ajax at the Allianz Arena. No win in last 3 games. No clean sheets at home this season. I don talk am. Those early wins were just deceiving. |
Roland17:Make we no drag this thing too far. It's funny you are comparing Sane's situation to that of Mahrez. Mahrez only just joined the club this summer and was always going to take a bit of time to adapt. No such excuses for Sane. I might not agree with your stance on this issue but I do respect it. So case closed ![]() |
Shey na thread be this sha? Omo, Bayern and Madrid thread still get hope for where this one dey. Roland dey try sha but man no fit kill himself. Arsenal thread still dey there. Well, i saw the highlights of you guys win over your bogey team Sassuolo. I remember those days when that small boy Berardi used to pepper una like crazy. Shame the boy don cast now. Great goals by Suso and Samu. Good to see Milan get a win after all those draws. But the main point for me was Sassuolo's Djuricic ending his four-year goal drought. An attacker going 4 whole years without scoring. The guy use Milan break record What a shame ![]() |
Roland17:LOL, stop making it look like Pep needs Sane to win games. If there is anything we have learned, it is that no player is indispensable under Pep. City were impressive without Sane and will continue to win with or without Sane. He is just another player on the team. Moreover Sane's return to the starting 11 has been made easier with the injury to Mendy. I believe you are just reluctant in admitting that Sane was not up to par. So i ask again, Why wasn't he starting at the beginning of the season? He had all the summer to himself, well rested but yet got upstaged by those who had a busy World Cup and came back late. Pep criticized his performances in preseason. Dropped him to the bench. Left him out of a match day squad. Over the following couple of weeks, we see an improvement in Sane's attitude and performances and he gets back into the team. But you say Pep was only being pragmatic. Like as if Pep's actions had no effect and didn't contribute to Sane upping his game. |
Roland17, are you happy now that Pep is starting Sane? ![]() So you see Pep's actions were all in Sane's best interests. He needed that bit of tough love to get back to his best. |
Miremoses1:You forgot to add 'no goals'. So much for the best derby in the world. And to think this fixture only really became competitive some years ago. If I wanted injuries, cards and rough tackles, there is Newcastle v Sunderland or I can always watch West Brom against Aston Villa. Not 2 top teams serving a bore fest. I've learnt my lessons. Real playing Atletico at the Bernabeu is a no-no for me. |
Your typical Madrid derby at the Bernabeu. Another drab stalemate with plenty of cards on both sides ![]() I'm not in the very least surprised. Both teams didn't make me regret not watching the game ![]() |
Unlimited22:I don rate Hysaj that highly. Maybe it's because he is not as attacking as I like my fullbacks to be. If I were to go for any fullback from Napoli, it would be Faouzi Ghoulam. It's a shame he has been out injured for a while. |
Unlimited22:This weekend ehn na one festival of football. I don't think i've seen as many big matches in one day as this. Na bumper to bumper. From one big game to another. Well, as they say no rest for the wicked ![]() |
Messi sef chop yellow card after match. Insult upon injury! ![]() Spurs to finish the Lord's work on Wednesday. |
Opelope Messi. . . |
