Buy which new tire, of course there is vulcanizer, your tire burst you take it to tire repair and plug it except it's totally damaged. $20 per plug Nigerian guys are doing it well in the US. |

MadeINchenzen2: There something unique about earning in hard currency $€£.m than in Naira... You can make $100k dollars in one year abroad if you work hard that's like 90 million naira, But how long will it take you to make 10 million naira in Nigeria? The deal about moving abroad is that you can get paid in foreign currency and be rich in naira in less time than wasting time and skills working in Nigeria to get paid in Naira.
Make your riches on time and enjoy your life while u are still young. 100k$ indeed ,I can see you have no clue and don't even know what 100k$ is and talking from hearsay. |

Any Nigerian planning on going to the US and followed this advice is wasting his or her time, maybe baking or tying gele might yield you some tashere (chicken change) money. But you see all those construction jobs it is either you are in a union to be able to make good money, if it is a none union construction jobs the Latinos that have invaded America by the millions illegally from South and Central America have those on total lockdown that even white or black Americans can't even break through. Africans generally don't even do construction in the US except for mechanics, you will find a white man doing construction before you find an African. What construction can you do that Jose from Mexico, Guatemala or Honduras can't do 10x better. |

kingsways: Am not so sure
Some of these people you say are doing well maybe earn + or - N1m a month.
If you earn N1million a month in Nigeria, some might say you are earning a decent salary but that's just a paltry 1,000 Dollars and way too small for a professional at the peak of his career N1 million is a yearly rent in Nigeria, while $1000 can barely cover your monthly rent in the US,UK or Canada so they are not the same. |

buzweb: One of the ways the Nigerian government can help it's citizen is to empower the youth in the online and digital skill space. There are lots of e-commerce websites that accept payment only through PayPal. Currently Nigeria is not allowed to withdraw money through Paypal (though there are shortcuts, but why make us pass through that stress which may have consequences). South Africa has all these payments. On Shopify, there's Shopify pay payment system which Nigeria is not eligible to. On Etsy, there's Etsy payment which Nigeria is not eligible. A country eligible for Etsy payment makes 105% time someone not eligible for that. I just mentioned a little. People especially Europeans, USA and some Asian countries make so much from online space. But here in Nigeria, if you want to make money from your skill, it's difficult. Just imagine what would happen if all these where possible for Nigerians. We've suffered so much. Our fraudulent behaviors caused us lack of access to those platforms. |

Travel › Re: Nigerians In Other African Countries, How Is Life? by planetx: 3:25pm On Nov 04, 2023 |
digitite: Business is easy and cheap to run there. If you have a good template, you can start with $1000 ( 6 months plan before you start profiting, although it can be instant depending on your expertise. Just look for an african or others to share rent with and pay your share of $100 a month. And use it to always renew your permit but try to learn French, Arabic, Greek, Italian and Hebrew. These are the peoples heritage.
Gas, electricity, water and internet ( unlimited including wifi ) is cheap. Highest you pay a month for all these is $30 . If you want to share guest house with backpackers from all over the world, you can get for $5 per day downtown Tahir square.
Before AirBnB became popular, I ran the service by accommating tourist, sports and businessmen that paid me since i lived in a secured estate and kept my apartment clean.
I also did import and export brokerage by bringing in goods, clearing and shipping them to Nigeria as their tariff is very low and most goods and services are subsidized. Their Pharmaceuticals is great if they can allow you carry it pending you have license.
Some Nigerians ran Cyber cafe, Grocery stores, Textiles ( Egypt got cotton ), Cargo, football and recruitment agency and they rarely cause trouble. Inflation always low. One hardly go broke or homeless because there is real value for money.
If you earn $1000 a month there and save $500 a month after living very comfortably in an accessible estate, you will detest the West and their overhyped media. Ancient countries is like a school, one is always learning and that makes you earn. So why haven't they taken in all the millions of Palestinians suffering right next to them in Gaza and being bombed to smithereens. |
