If some high school girl that looks 20 comes to my university, sneaks into an 18+ club, lies about her age and as a result I sleep with her.

If she later decided to press charges i would be registered as a sex offender for the rest of my life.

How is that fair or logical?

The only reason why horrible laws like this exist is because people (mostly men themselves) are so quick to judge an innocent man like most of the posters are doing here.

@ The OP, i dont think you should sue. This is one of the areas where the law is extremely biased against men and if you alert the authorities you will probably get blamed even though you did nothing wrong. There are thousands of men in the United States who have had their lives ruined in this exact same way

In fact anytime a man has sex with a woman he has an extremely high liklihood of being convicted if she decides to withdraw her "consent" and claim rape after the fact... but that is another story.

You have no options here but to wait and hope that she never decides to bring charges agaisnt you, because if she does you will probably be convicted. Basically there is a sword hanging over your head for the rest of your life

Approaching a girl is not a do or die affair... If shes not interested enough to talk to you away from her friends than move on.

You should try to make eye contact and establish mutual attraction.... after that she will natually start to move away from her friends. If she doesn't there is a high likihood that she is simply not interested

Besides, girls who are too clingy and catty with their buddies are a huge turn off... look for more mature an independent girls

You guys need to do a little bit of thinking before you jump into things willy-nilly, it would save you alot of trouble
