PharmAlfred: Exactly! Quick question for supporters of Mr president, can he ever stop oil theft? How come we can't even meet our OPEC quarter? Why are we producing less oil daily? Who are those stealing our oil? Why are farmers unable to go to farm? Why is food more expensive in Nigeria than the developed societies? Why is smuggling still going on? How many companies bidded for the much talked about coastal road? Is rule of law functional in Nigeria? How much barrel of oil are we producing now? How much were we producing when PBAT came in? Are we making any progress? Has anyone ever said Tinubu is doing well in every area of governance? We were actually talking about some of his policies that some of us think he did the right thing. Of course there are many areas that he needs to work on and I want to believe one of such is security. |

Willie2015: Getting 4 refineries to work in a year ... is not a rocket science... Bros D political will is just lacking... U dont kill your citizens with hunger and starvation... in the name of scattering everywhere.... BAT is not ready to face the cabals... but willing to trade the masses for the pain of reforms... Fuel will never be cheaper without subsidy even if all our refineries are working. PBAT did well by removing the subsidy and floating the naira. |

Agbalowomeri: They get paid the naira equivalent. I really don't know whether any country exist that operates a dom account system for foreign currencies?
Dom accounts are an anomaly sincerely It is definitely an anomaly. But is the government ready to change the narrative? It would have made better sense if the bill is coming from the executive. They hold the axe. |

ositadima1: I don’t understand what you’re trying to prove here. Yes, the 9-month revenue is less than ₦300 billion, but it was still higher than the 9-month revenue in 2023, which ended up closing the year at ₦455 billion. Revenue and costs fluctuate throughout the year; sometimes, costs are more concentrated during specific periods, and the same can happen with revenue. In my opinion, a 6-month period provides a better representation, second only to a full-year analysis. Not trying to prove anything, make you no vex |

ositadima1: Take a look at the snapshot I quickly put together. There may be errors as I was rushing to finish before watching the new episode of Silo. You’ll notice that while debt is increasing, equity is growing at a faster rate. The debt-to-equity ratio remains well below 100%, and for 2024, the 70% figure represents the first six months. I’m positive that it will be lower by year-end. The blue cell in the corner is where I doubled the equity value to annualize the six-month data. Everything else should be self-explanatory. The most recent results for the company is q3 2024 and I think it would have been better if you had used the 9 months result for your computation. The net profit for 9 months is less than 300b. |

chimex38: Best bet for him would be export or sell to large storage facilities.
BUA, PH n Warri Refinery will take over the southern marketers when ready.
Dangote shld likely begin now to capture the regional-based marketers majorly in the North to help gain local market but with the large distance between Lagos n Northern states costing time n money, kaduna Refinery will be the go-to centre when it begins operation..
Truly, he may be limited locally in the long-run.
Just a forecast Government owned refinery cannot complete with a private one. The only way NNPC will sell at lower price is by subsidy either at the level of crude input or petrol output The best bet will be to privatize it or sell it out outrightly . |

Omooloriredade: Sorry to say, it is highly unlikely.
NNPC a state-owned corporation will settle debts to a private company by alloting shares in the corporation owned by Nigerians? Oando and Tinubu would be looking for trouble be that.
Disclaimer - Chai! For me, hard to reason am that way but anyway make we dey watch. It is not likely to be NNPC. It is looking more to me like a related entity that already owns shares in oando that will give up its shares in exchange for its debt. And everything is pointing to o and o. It will be difficult to beat wale at his game, I fear companies being run by lawyers. |

crownprince2017: We invest for different reasons. One of your sheep, street badmouthed flourmill this same year but look at the reality now..
When he badmouthed it, can we say fmn was a bad investment?
I know many of us know what we are doing in this market and it sounds somehow to us seeing someone displaying ignorance in the name of knowledge here...we would never take it. That someone said a company is not living up to its potential doesn't mean badmouthing in my own understanding. FMN performance has been underwhelming for a number of years and that is a fact going by the figures the present rally in share price notwithstanding. And I don't think he has ever said it is only fundamental or good number that makes stock price to go up. Any stock can rally in price for a number of reasons but that doesn't mean people should not air their opinions about a company that is not showing good performance in its books when they see one. |

ositadima1: Technical analysis (TA) works just as well as fundamental analysis (FA). I recommend reading the Market Wizards series to gain more insight. My philosophy is to avoid making assumptions about things—it's better to focus on what you actually know.
What do you truly understand about TA? Are you certain people here are practicing real TA? It's not just about drawing lines on charts; there's much more to it, just as there is with FA.
I respect all methods, as long as they are legal. I don't underestimate other approaches simply because I don't understand or favor them. "Are you certain people here are practicing real TA?" That is a very big question. |

megawealth01: That's how we roll... Debts upon debts When they acquired that ConocoPhillips assets some years back, some of us were as excited as some are today with their new acquisition. I can remember people like sir wanajo and co were telling us to keep our optimism in check. Acquisition of new assets and obtaining fat loans from banks cannot guarantee the profitability of a company if the managers are insincere and dubious. That being said, I am happy for those who took risk with early positioning in o and o to ride on the market sentiment. Going forward,we can only hope that things will be different this time around. |

ositadima1: My argument is that banks are investors. Anyone who lends money to a business is an investor because their return isn’t guaranteed.
If Oando was able to raise 1.3 billion dollars, it’s clear that lenders have confidence in recovering their principal. This is basic finance. Is it today that oando has been getting loan from lenders. What did they do with the ones they got before this? Debt upon debt. |
