Interesting. By implication, your philosophy about sex is ONLY relevant to Christians making it at best cosmetic and in reality useless. Next time you want to throw around such generalization about some item of your religious belief it will be helpful to include a caveat indicating that it is only relevant to people who share your faith.

It is evident that you have no point, no logical support for the opinions you aired about premarital sex... I have no followers here; you needn't equate me with your religious type who survive based on follower-ship of some opinion.

In conclusion, and for the glaring lack of any idea on your part why it might be dangerous, there is nothing wrong about premarital sex as long as those engaged in it are old enough to know what they are after. And it is certainly not your business to want others to abstain from something that you had obviously partaken of before marriage. Let adults decide the way they want to employ their sexuality whether for abstinence from sex, or for indulging in it. And your belief about premarital sex destroying careers, businesses, life... is no more than nonsense.

EncourageMe:
Firstly, the word brainwashed is not any form of abuse...
brainwash
/ˈbreɪnwɒʃ/

verb
past tense: brainwashed; past participle: brainwashed
pressurize (someone) into adopting radically different beliefs by using systematic and often forcible means.
"people are brainwashed into believing family life is the best"........
Secondly, i need to know if you are a Christian, or another religion before i go ahead to give you details on how your life/everything can experience set backs due to pre marital/extra marital sex, i have my backup, i wanted a private meeting for some reasons but it seems you want to convince followers of this thread to go ahead with any form of sex being legal or illegal which i can never bow to knowing fully well you are wrong, i thank God you already stated STDs/Unwanted pregnancy though you did not state where those things can lead to if care is not taking, but there are some other hindrances which are far dangerous than your claim that you are still yet to believe, just let me know your religion first before i pour out my facts concerning this issue. If you are not a Christian, please do not bother to reply because we do not practice the same faith and as such, i cannot intrude into your Faith/religion.

I don't think any right thinking Nigerian will come out and attack the killing of anyone, IPOB or not. Nairaland is a jungle and I personally believe there are people here led by sinister agenda against different interest groups.

Mgbadike80:
I'm surprised by the way Nigerians
would come online to support the
extra judicially killing of IPOB
members but would wail and
condemn the same action when it
happens elsewhere in the country,
the problem of Nigeria is not her

i'm convinced that Nigeria would

I love the way you reason. Too much sense.

hopefulLandlord:
Kenneth Copeland said he bought private jets from church money because commercial flights harbour demons. Makes you wonder why a strong "man of God" is avoiding demons, shouldn't he go after these demons instead?

Jesse Duplantis, who at the time had 2 private jets already, said God wanted him to buy a better jet, why? because the new jet he'd buy can go to any airport in the world without needing to refuel.

The part of their excuse for owning fleets of jets is that it's used to "Spread the word of God" but this doesn't make sense in today's world as airline companies have been terribly hit by the explosion of the internet. in short airlines made money in the past because interacting with people halfway across the world required you to be there or send letters Which doesn't usually cut it. now you can open your WhatsApp and video chat with almost anyone, you can send a message and it's instantly delivered. This has made airlines lose money so you don't need a jet to spread the word.

At the end of the day, it's their money they got from gullible individuals who can't sit to reason beyond what the pastor says and try to reconcile it with what they do. A lord's chosen pastor tells you to buy his expensive reflective jackets and wear them for both spiritual and physical protection and you believe him even though he uses bodyguards

Oyedepo would preach faith healing to you but won't hesitate to fly his wife to world class hospital aboroad when she was sick

when they need material things they would ask you to donate but when you need material things they would direct you to "God
"

the bitter truth is that Religious belief is an invisible security blanket for insecure individuals.
Closeted minds will continue to allow brainwashing and indoctrination by religious leaders that there is a 'god', and there was a 'jesus', in order that the people with closed minds allow themselves to be controlled so that the various Corporations (churches) remain profitable as the tax-free money continues to roll in. people center their lives around a fairy-tale. All that time, energy and money centered on a lie. For some it's a business, for others it is the central cause of division within their family. Religion sucks. All of them.

You could just have deleted your post instead of quoting me and then asking me to ignore. My life is simple enough: if you don't give gbos you don't get gbas. I love a good debate and if you make your points without resorting to personal attacks you will receive the same treatment. And if you prefer personal attacks, no matter how obliquely stated you execute that attack, you will be rewarded in kind.

What exactly constitute authority? I went to lengths stating specific examples where police officers habitually abuse their uniform by turning their duty posts into opportunity to rob people... yet you would identify them as the 'authority'. Law enforcement officers are rightly an authority as long as what they are enforcing is the law. The law however is not rocket science and their authority DOES NOT include asking you for your phone, profiling you based on age and perceived wealth or the kind of vehicle you drive... When the so-called law enforcement officers dabble into such extra-judicial profiling they cease to be the authority and they have become common criminals. Criminals masquerading as the authority. The same law they seek to enforce applies to them. And your duty as a citizen is not to blindly open such 'authority'.

So, stop supporting illegality in the name of supporting the recognition of the authority of the Nigerian police.

Tadeknkeepcalm:

Stop skewwing the narrative. They wanted to search (not even search, they just stopped them) them not arrest them. Why aren't you mentioning the fact that they refused to obey the authority? By so doing they are reinforcing stereotypes.
The basic thing that is needed in every discussion to move forward is sincerity.

Modified: I had already quoted you before realizing the name of the account. Kindly ignore this. I've seen your previous arguments, it results to insults and there's no going forward with you. Seriously, ignore sir.

When you so sanctimoniously accused me of insulting people one would almost have concluded you were such a perfect and wonderful person here who would turn the other chick for maximum shishi... Interestingly you have had you fair share of insulting people on here. Very interesting indeed.

More like it pays to be a General Overseer.
How many Church members own private jets, or is it only MOGs who are serving God?
How many MOGs who are not general overseers own private jets?

Their ownership of jets has nothing (absolutely nothing) to do with serving God, and everything to do with their cunning appropriation of members' donations. I am not condemning, just analyzing. Let's stop painting God in the colours of greed.

saaphiere:
Meet our men of God who own private jets
Indeed, it pays to serve Gods.
God blessed these men with these machines to ease their movements as they continue to spread the gospel of our Lord Jesus to the ends of the earth.
May God bless and strengthen them in Jesus name Amen.

You said we were not abusing each other and yet you called me brainwashed. Should I accept that as a compliment? grin grin
I will quickly state the following points:

1.) You have absolutely zero defense for the philosophical posturing you have assumed with respect to sex, and that's why you are unable to come up with any answers to the posers I pushed to you.
2.) It's not conversations with you that helped me accomplish anything that might be in my life and there's no way my shining and soaring will benefit from having those conversations with you.
3.) You made fallacious conclusions about pre-marital sex and lusting after women on a public forum and yet you seek to defend your weak position in private... Why? Are you suddenly too shy to state your opinions now?
4.) The previous fallacious conclusions you made you have not been able to justify them, why do you think you are mentally sufficient to make yet further such conclusions (e.g.) about how intercourse with ladies kills career, business, and growth?

I am not going to descend into abusing you. I merely pity you. You're one of the many Africans who refuse to take responsibility for their lives and prefer to believe that your failure and mediocrity is somehow tied to having sex with women. Your career is dying because you are not good enough for the job or because you lack the basic skills to profitably relate with people, or you have bad work etiquette. Some with your business and all. Having sex or not having sex does nothing to these spheres of your life, beyond the possibility of getting STDs or unwanted pregnancy. Many of you preaching no-sex are still employed by people who literally phuck any phuckable pussies; you still go to these same individuals whenever you need to raise money in your churches... Yes you keep advancing a very defective philosophy.

God who created the d*ck and the p*ssy and our ability to enjoy sex did not make a mistake. Neither did He enforce a rule about when and when not to have sex; it was human culture that evolved those rules (including what you now call marriage) just to maintain some semblance of decorum among human beings.

Stop arrogating to God a set of doctrines created by man.

So no, I'm not sending any email to you. If you are not sufficient to interrogate this topic in the public, neither will you be in the private.

EncourageMe:
Bro, thank God we are not abusing each other, we are relating well here, i have understand from your analysis that it will be difficult to explain the meaning of dying gradually when you engage in pre marital or extra marital sex to you. send me mail@rufyprince@yahoo.com to enable me keep having close conversations with you that will make you to keep shinning and soaring higher forever. You have been brainwashed in some aspect, we must work it out. Are you aware there are some ladies you may have intercourse with,,, and your career start dying, your business start dying, your efforts stop growing,,, which death do you think i mean? just email me.

Questions for you:
1.) You don phuck premaritally before, and you nur die, how come you come dey sermonize say odas go die?
2.) Which God? The Christian's God, The Muslim's God, The traditional worshipers' God, or the scientist's God? Kindly let us know, because these Gods seem to have different opinions about this issue.
3.) Can you please give us examples of people you claimed have been destroyed by premarital sex (that's the contention here and not just lusting after women) and I will match it with examples of men who despite their prolific success with women (pre-maritally, extra-maritally and peri-maritally) have had a great life.
4.) To answer No. 3 properly you will need to define what you mean by destruction and prove that it is not something that actually eventually happens to all men regardless of their morality and religious affiliation.

I'm waiting.

EncourageMe:
Which other prove do you need after the scriptural proves? Should i start counting people that have been destroyed by lusting after women? so, because i was there and the mercies of God kept me alive and you now feel i am deceiving others not to taste it?? i do not understand the prove you want? The fact that God has commanded us not to do it is enough prove,, please, i beg you, do not ever justify what is not good. I perfectly understand where you are coming from. I was thinking exactly like this more than a decade ago before I left... But then I left and realized that Nigeria will always be home for me. As terrible and toxic as our society often gets in Nigeria, there's no where else in the world that I would be and not wish I was home...

And reading the history of different developed countries, it's easy to see that they all passed through the phase we are going through in Nigeria. Someday, perhaps not in our time, we too will get there... In fact, I am still of the opinion that down the line in time this world will someday witness Nigeria as the global power. We have the fundamentals... the ruggedness of an average Nigerian, the resourcefulness to make it at all cost (even though poor value system often lands many Nigerians on the criminal side here), the doggedness (Nigerians survive anywhere and everywhere), the fierce sense of hope and optimism, the population, the unmatched sense of humor, and so on... Leadership is all that is left; and there is that probability that we are close to getting that right. May not be at the national level to start with... a couple of states is what is required to get leadership right and the fire will catch on.

Someday, Nigeria will make every black man proud of being an African. That's probably still the Nigerian in me talking. grin

Bros slow down a bit... How many people have you seen killed by pre-marital sex biko? If your self-deluded words were that true then most people in Nigeria should have died by now... including you because you sound like someone wey don enjoy sex before marriage before...

Most of the most successful people on earth right now (including those who gained success from tithes and offerings) dey bleep different girls back to back... And their visions, dreams, aspirations etc keep waxing stronger and stronger... You guys should pipe down a notch on harping on philosophies that you can't prove to be true.

EncourageMe:
Did anybody helped you to decide the first bleeping The only decision i have for you now is to encourage you to repent from pre marital sex, it kills gradually but you may not know, Pre marital sex with anybody being your main girl friend or others can kill your vision, it can kill your dreams and aspirations, it can make you to be very far from the presence of God, it can cover up your real man, no wonder God commanded us to flee from it.. Let those that have ears listen. I hope this message comes to you in peace and you listen and be blessed as you obey.

This is obviously a stereotype, and stereotypes are dangerous. That they are young and they drive a nice ride doesn't automatically make them criminals. Neither is their hairstyle a reason for that conclusion. Years ago while doing my PhD in Europe I was on braids as a guy and I have never in my life being into any kind of fraud. Had you or the Nigerian police seen me then and in a fine ride they would have concluded I was a criminal.

Our law says: innocent UNTIL proven guilty. Right to that innocence before being judicially proven to be guilty is a fundamental human right. Even for a suspect caught in the act. That is the secular constitution that guides us. It should guide us as citizens of Nigeria and we should insist that it also guides the law enforcement.

Nigerians should normalize crashing the traffic in solidarity with citizens are who being victimized by the police on the highway. That's a powerful way to drive sense into these police officers.

It is not a crime to be young and rich. Many of us who had been thus previously profiled while Nigeria can testify that it is a very bad indeed.

Police officers stopping you:
sizing your age up from your looks,
looking again at your ride and asking you if you are the owner,
you handing over all up-to-date documents to him when he asked for it
getting angry that he has nothing to hold onto
asking for your source of livelihood

Everything checks out, and the police still going on about arresting you...just for being young ... At that point I simply ask them to lead me to their station. I have done this several times in Nigeria and the drive to their station affords me enough time to call the lawyers (oh I never hand over my phone to any police officer, never!). I also ensure I do not travel alone. Very important. At the station I always ask to talk to the most superior officer who in my experience usually happen to have a good deal of humanity, and most times they turn it to a joke and beg me to give the boys something..

infogenerator:
Looking at the photos we all know what's going on.

✓The Young guys driving benz are obviously into something not too far from illegal.

✓The police obviously knows this, hence they are bent on stopping them and collecting their share.

✓Things have gotten so bad in this country, that in situations like this, you don't even know who to support. Everybody is just wrong one way or the other.

Let's stop sponsoring mediocrity. Every governor is the chief security officer of his state. El-Rufai's utterances, posturing, refusal to safeguard the lives of his people and importantly his refusal apprehend the terrorists that he had claimed to know all point to his participation in the carnage. Well thought out and properly balanced publication. If El-Rufai and his goons decide to misinterpret NBA's decision, that is their cup of tea. Who cares. They can go and hug the nearest transformer. You cannot eat your cake and have it. You cannot be encouraging the massacre of the people of your state while at the same time feel entitled to the public's respect. You can fool some people sometime, but you cannot fool all the people all the time. Nigeria is bigger than your little Kaduna. If you overstep your boundary outside your state you will be cut to sizes.

Actually, I still haven't returned from overseas.

And you're right, I am aware of how people illegally re-connect disconnected wires... But the fact still remains that most (if not all) of the disconnection is illegal too. If those power companies have a real case against a household for reconnecting what they had illegally disconnected they should have instituted a case in court, hire a private investigator to gather evidence, and then prosecute the case. It remains illegal to forcefully remove another person's private property.

And it is MORE illegal (if there's anything like that), to serve people power bills when those power companies have no way of calculating your household consumption. That is one of the most pervasive corruption going on in Nigeria and that we have come to accept as the norm.

Excuses:

You talking as if u came back from overseas...you can guess the number of times that wire was disconnected..and illegally they connected it back..promoting the officials to take the wire with them..
