Out ke? Is that how you are going to chase Igbos out of Lagos? By turning tail and taking flight? Lol.

Yes it does, but he remains a Nigerian hero and a Yoruba war commander. He commanded a winning war strategy never before witnessed anywhere in Africa.
Yes o. The guy (Black scorpion) has a winning strategy when it comes to butchering unarmed civilians, especially women and children. By the way how is he doing? Has he got the 100k to fly to Ghana for his treatment? Or is he still begging Igbos for money with his bowl? I hope he's not living in Lagos? Otherwise he risks been deported to Onitha by Fashole. Imao. You guys know how to treat heroes.

gudugba: Keep shut...you simply don't understand the intricacies involve in any hostilities in the SW nor the potential consequences...

The prognosis is completely staked against Ibos...

Never hope or pray for it...
Of course we do, and that is why we are not worried. If you choose to turn Lagos to Borno, Yobe, it only means loss of lives (and perhaps yours as well) and of course fewer commercial activities. But we shall remain and thrive. Heck, Igbos are in Iraq and Pakistan. How much more Lagos that many Igbos call home?

Guy, you are just suffering yourself for nothIng. Whatever you cook we shall consume and thrive. It's One Nigeria until you secede. Then we can take it from there.

OPC.NAIRALAND:
Yoruba army was not defunct. Biafra was the one defunct. Therefore One Nigeria is for Ibos. Yoruba never lost its Nigerianess, the footprint has not changed. The tenets of ONE NIGERIA is for Ibo, you make sure you continously strive for it. However, Statehood is for Yoruba and we shall not compromise on it.
keep hallucinating. That's the most appropriate way to deal with the frustration emanating from your choice.

Your fathers chose for you one Nigeria. Deal with it and stop whining. Next stop - Ibadan! One Nigeria is sweeter than honey, embrace it and save yourself further frustration and high BP.

gudugba: I think you should be the one to shut the hell up!

When push come to shove...you lot will flee...it won't be the first time.
same way your folks fled to Benin rep during the June 12 crisis lol.

anyway such is nature of conflict. Some will leave some will stay. Igbos will not fire the first shot to ignite a crisis in Lagos or else where, but rest assured there will be enough of us left to defend whatever we consider our interest should some of you vagabonds decides to bring your hallucinations to the real world. Actions and reactions are equal and opposite says Isaac Newton.

Again if Yoruba or Lagos want Igbos out of Lagos - secede, or shut the fk up!
PoliticsRe: Igbo And The Governance Of Lagos by PointB: 7:23pm On Aug 11, 2013
gudugba: Yes..ingratitude of Ibos.....

Yorubas have provided the best platform and leverage for Ibos to bounce back after the inglorious civil war...denying such wont help.

Ibos need to know who their enemies really are...I don't think Yorubas are anywhere to be termed such....don't start making them one now.
Yoruba provided nada! Nigeria did! If Yoruba think they are bigger and better than Nigeria - secession is a worthy option. Either they do that or stop disturbing the peace of the nation with the host nonsense.
Igbos came back to Lagos the then federal capital because it was logical thing to do; Yoruba had no choice then and also have no choice now than to accept the consequence of the victory over biafra. You wanted one Nigeria, here is it - Igbos in your face. Suck it up and stop winning like a woman.

gudugba: Well... when you are short of what to say, you result to the usual.

Nobody is stopping you from residing and conducting yourself in proper ways that don't hurt the feelings of your host.....that is the extent your freedom goes.
If the so called host feelings is hurt let him seek redress in the court or shut up. All these rambling can not scare a fly.
PoliticsRe: Igbo And The Governance Of Lagos by PointB: 7:13pm On Aug 11, 2013
gudugba: At the end...you will always hold the shortest end of the stick in the Nigeria equation ....know your place in Lagos. Stick to your commerce business...you won't be hunted down.

Any further agitation for further participation in the affairs of Lagos will be forcefully repelled...you can term that anything you wish to...that is your entire headache.
Says a keyboard warrior!
PoliticsRe: Igbo And The Governance Of Lagos by PointB: 7:10pm On Aug 11, 2013
gudugba: So tell me how many Ibos constitute the fighting force of the Nigerian military...because at the end of the day, that is what it will all boil down to.

grin cheesy
If it get to that stage it pointless fighting. Everyone will walk away. Until then you folks should learn to suck it up and enjoy the one Nigeria Obj and black scorpion fought for. You all should be happy and grateful to have Igbos in your midst. I don't understand where from this ingratitude.
PoliticsRe: Igbo And The Governance Of Lagos by PointB: 6:22pm On Aug 11, 2013
quid: Stop repeating yourself. With all the gra-gra of boko, the Igbos are still in the North, talkless of Lagos.
No mind the guy, Igbos are still stuck in the North despite our several plea for them to abandon the place considering the fact that their investments their is far inferior to the one in Lagos.

Any body who is tired of living in Lagos will leave but not because of these toothless bulldogs here.
PoliticsRe: Igbo And The Governance Of Lagos by PointB: 6:11pm On Aug 11, 2013
gudugba: grin grin grin am sure you don't live anywhere in the SW...so you are excused on NL to do your usual chest beating.

You all individually will carry your luggage and bags into your luxurious buses and run back to the east....then allow the heat to go down and stubbornly return back as usual.

The simple truth..,you all can't fight if need be to in reality stake a claim in the Lagos you so much covet for. grin grin
There is no point fighting anyone, yo'oba least of all, over the control of Lagos. My point is that Igbos will not roll over in lagos because some people don't like their faces. And we cannot be dictated to how to live in our country. Our presence in Lagos is guaranteed by the constitution of the republic - not because of some imaginary Yoruba kindness. The butcher who sells meat to you in the market is not doing it out of love, but rather for his own pecuniary needs. So please any state that does not want citizens of the country to live in it should secede and enforce such in the constitution. Anything short of that is the usual ranting of an ant.
PoliticsRe: Igbo And The Governance Of Lagos by PointB: 6:01pm On Aug 11, 2013
gudugba: Lolzzzz...I know you will bring up the JTF and attempt to hide behind it.

So you think Jonathan will unleash the JTF to kill Yorubas? You are really deluded about this power of Iherjirika...because I know all this your JTF noise is angled on the mere fact that an Ibo man heads the army...(not the military)
Who mentioned GEJ or the COAS name? Guy, the army will be deployed to protect the integrity of the nation. It matters less who the president or COAS.

Don't forget it was Obj a yo'oba who crushed OPC. So go and kill Igbos in Lagos and let's see how this fit into the Oko oni baje cries.
PoliticsRe: Igbo And The Governance Of Lagos by PointB: 5:53pm On Aug 11, 2013
Those calling for Igbo blood on the streets of Lagos are well advised to perish such thoughts. The lion liver is a vain wish for dogs. In anycase the fate of Lagos is tied to that of Igbos in Lagos. This need no explanations.
PoliticsRe: Igbo And The Governance Of Lagos by PointB: 5:45pm On Aug 11, 2013
gudugba: There is not going to be any war....what Ibos will get is the Hausa treatment.
You think it's easy to kill a man? Keep hallucinating. By the way you seem to forget so soon that such treatment as you proposed is always countered by the JTf treatment. Just be careful with what your wish it might just come true.

PoliticsRe: CLO Press Release On The Anti-poor Policies Of Governor Fashola Of Lagos State by PointB: 7:22pm On Aug 09, 2013
Better late than never.

We the good people of Nigeria, and indeed law abiding citizens, welcome CLO's statement in support of the poor, oppressed and disenfranchised people of Lagos State, nay, Nigeria. We also urge the CLO not to pass the buck to the CSO, NBA or any other group, but rather take the bull by the horn and seek redress on behalf of Nigeria citizens so abused by Lagos State Government.

We further urge the CLO to join us call to LASG to release forthwith any other individuals (or group of individual) still held captive in their several camps (detention or otherwise). Where those people are found to have broken the law, they should be promptly charged to court for prosecution.

Impunity of the LASG must cease!

Sincere 9gerian: After conspiring with the moderators and banning my ID for days unjustly, you'r still not satisfied. What else would satisfy your evil soul?

Why should I be banned for calling Fashola the most wanted, deadly kidnapper? Is Fashola not a kidnapper?

According to OAMJ4 and those that lobbied him to ban my ID, my ID was banned for posting false information. He said there must be a police report to back up my claim.

Well, I dont need any useless police report. I only expressed my opinion, backed up with facts. I dont see any difference between the kidnap being perpetrated by men of the underworld and that of Fashola's KAI officials. Kidnap is kidnap.

By the way, I challenge OAMJ4 to show us police or health report backing up those calling our president all manner of ridiculous names, including slowpoke, bastard, retardeen, etc. If there's none, how come these people are not slammed with ban?

What about the threads containing blatantly false reports that are currently on the board, with some of them making front page?

Since I joined NL, I have NEVER noticed any attempt by the moderators to protect the president from insults and curses thrown at him by opposition elements on this forum. If the president has been on the recieving end of relentless attacks, why cant we be allowed to also attack Fashola? Why the lame attempt to shield Fashola from attacks?

Well, in the end, I just laughed off the ban. I dont need any alternate handle to beat a ban. I enjoy NL but there's so much happening for many of us outside NL. In fact, if not for the fact that I wanted to stay on and celebrate more FRESH AIR bumper harvests and maybe create some health related topics, I would have signed off from NL. For me, its MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. The FRESH AIR team have taken over NL, while the APC elements crumbled without resistance. The approval rating of the president has jumped up to 53% and it will continue to get better. GEJ has won all the polls conducted so far on this forum. So what next? Its MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. Thanks to the FRESH AIR TEAM.
I am really disappointed in OAM4J to read this. Gold can indeed rust!

How would they ban you for this.

Fashola through the instrument of his office kidnapped those folks, some at gun point from what we read. How can you be banned for saying the obvious, yet many high stories, from unverified sources litter the pages of Nairaland. Something definately must be amiss.

I am gutted to read this; very unfair and certainly uncalled for.

Do you think I'd get banned for calling an ediot and ediot?

Don't mind that boy, he is finding it hard to comprehend two sentences. Why na?
You start with name calling, and when a good measure is return to you, you run to the MOD pointing fingers. I hope the MODs see this.

Italiano1: So you are essentially making a distinction between two evils; both of whom are carried out with senseless violence, and you have the effrontery to question other people's thought process? Your analogical reference to ND and Boko Haram further proves how disingenuous you are. Kidnappers attack, maim, imprison and kills their victims not because of any ideological reasons but for selfish reasons and monetary gains.

The poster is quite right to make a correlation between people who are very ready to carry out social terrorism and the danger they pose to others
That is where both of you are wrong, and indeed any other individual that subscribe to this pattern of thing. Get this straight, kidnapping for ransom malaise and boko haram terrorism are parallel; they barely meet. Whereas the kidnapper are motivated for pecuniary motives, the boko haram terrorism are motivated by religious fanaticism or simply sadism. Where kidnappers kill their victims, other motives and connections are usually sought.

In more saner climes, kidnappers would be termed 'criminals', while the boko haramist would be termed 'terrorists.' Thankfully, those that really matter are able to make the distinction, hence the different approach at dealing with the issue!
PoliticsRe: Can We Put An End To Ethnic Rivalries And Hostilities? by PointB: 6:15pm On Aug 09, 2013
Texas.Cowgirl:
They're both social terrorism. The difference is their method of social terrorism.
So kidnapping for ransom now equates to butchering people for no reason? It's folks like you that equate Niger Delta militancy to Boko Haram terrorism. Nairaland, nay Nigeria, has truly suffered, with this kind of thought process.

And what similarity does kidnapping share with one region using machetes on another, eh, Mr. know all?

This is already happening in Nigeria.

North vs South

Southeast vs Southwest

The difference between Southeast and North is that Southeast aren't using machetes against Southwest right now.

oyb: well done Cornelius Segun Ojo , a search of your name brings up this webpage

why is it that team gej cannot get celebrated intellectuals to condemn soyinka - rather, it is facebook posts , tweets by children of thieves and blog posts by intellectual midgets/nonentities ?

take it or leave it - patience johnathan is a domestic appendage of the presidency - she does not bring anything whatsoever to it [outside of umblerra, widow and lazarus jokes]. constitutionally, she has no powers. her influence as the fist lady is constitutionally limited to playing social hostess.

with her atrocious command of the english language, her uncouth and ill mannered disposition, her graceless and unattractive bearing, dame first lady is better off as an unseen appendage.
I agree her spoken english leaves much to be desired, but a (wo)man can get alot done with speaking a word of English. It's the audience that matters, and if they understand you. And you cannot take it away from the first lady, she does get things done for her husband and party, without the handicap of finesse.

I am able to separate Ojukwu, MASSOB and my Kinsmen from my ethnic group.

Let me explain this to you in simple terms. Ojukwu is a man; MASSOB is an organisation, and my kinsmen are my people. It is expected that my reaction to issues concerning the three different entity will be different. You will never see me treating the entities as the same.

Let's not derail this thread please. smiley
